Logan Barnes is a hockey player who left town years ago to go pro, and is now back to playing in the minor league team. Parker is the team’s social media manager, the girl he ghosted when he left to go pro, and his best friend’s sister.

This book was a cute and fluffy autumn read. I was anxious going into it as the idea of a sports romance with no spice doesn’t seem like it would work to me – but this book was so cute and full of emotion and tension even without the spice.

There were some pretty cringey scenes, and I really wish the author went more in depth with the characters and their emotions, but overall this was a pretty light read and ideal for coming into autumn.

I'm loving this series! This story brings you all the Fall vibes and I'm here for every moment.

A closed door, brothers best friend, sports romance that you won't be able to put down.

Just Don't Fall will definitely be on my Fall reading list every year, and I can't wait to visit these characters again soon!

Parker and Logan meet again years later when he joins the hockey team where she works. Logan is her childhood crush. They are immediately attracted to each other.
I had trouble with the fact that Parker have never been kissed.
I loved the atmosphere between her and the almost family hockey players. This book is a romance hockey, small town, quick reading with cozy autumn vibes. The relationship between Parker and Logan is touching, and Logan is definitely a Book boyfriend.

I loved this book! The only thing that would have made the story better would for it to have been spicy! The more spiciness the better!! The whole series sounds awesome. Who doesn't love a hockey romance!?? This was a definite 5 star book for me!

3.5⭐️

Just Don't Fall is the first book in the Sweater series, and it's a cosy, autumnal book. All cinnamon roll and sweet, I would have rated this book higher if it had more spice. And while that's a personal preference, it by no means negates that this book is a great book to read.

I enjoyed this and look forward to the rest of the series.....The love story was good who doesn't love a hockey romance, and the heronie's family added a little more conflict, maybe more than wee needed to be honest?

This was such a great book and plot with brother's best friend, unrequited love, never been kissed, small town, sports romance with fake dating.

It was a warm cup of chai giving hugs, sweet and swoony kisses and moments and it makes me want to watch sport team videos like this because all the characters were great that I wish the Appies were real.

This is a stand alone book in the Sweater Weather series. Thank you to the author for an e-arc copy of the book. I pre-ordered this book right away and is available now. Can't wait to read more books in the series by other authors.

The small town Harvest Hollow is so cozy. Knowing the series revolve around this town, I took note of names of people and places in hopes that they'll have their own story.

3.75 stars! "Just Don't Fall" by Emma St. Clair is a decent read that had its moments. 😊 The plot had potential, but at times it felt a bit predictable and lacked some depth. 📖💭 The characters were likable, but I wished for more complexity and growth throughout the story. 👫 The writing style was engaging, but I found myself wanting a little more emotional connection. 🖋️ Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a light and easy read but might not leave a lasting impact.

Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley and Emma St. Clair for granting me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Well, this book was honestly just cinnamon rolls and sunshine and rainbows and it was so so cute.
I like the two main characters, Parker was relatable with her anxiety for me, although I felt it was only touched on briefly and then discarded so I’d have like more focus on that, personally.
Logan was SO sweet although I feel like he didn’t have much personality? Like there wasn’t much to him to make me swoon.
I liked Parker’s best friend, Mia, and all the guys on the hockey team! They kept up the humour portion of the story!
The parents of both MC’s both just seems like A-holes, so make sure you’re aware of the trigger warnings relating to parents being neglectful, overbearing and controlling.

The storyline was so so cute and I loved a good brothers best friend/childhood friends romance!
I do wish we actually saw Parker in Logan’s jersey though! But I believe there’s a bonus epilogue consisting of this so I’ll need to get my hands on it.

I’m usually an open door spice person so this was another issue I had, or not necessarily an issue, more a personal preference.

The writing was easy to flow through!
The cover is ADORABLE!
Now I can’t wait to get to my ARC of the next few :))

This is a cute fun hockey romance, definitely not spicy but it's short and enjoyable.

This was a cute and clean fake-dating, friends-to-lovers, hockey romance. This is a new to me author and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future. The writing style was so easy to read and sucked me right in, however, I had a hard time staying focused. I enjoyed both the main characters and all the secondary characters, but there was a bit too much assuming going on and not enough talking between the FMC & MMC. Misunderstandings, etc always frustrate me especially when dragged on. Either way, I do think this was a cute, cozy fall romance.

Just Don't Fall is an adorable, Hallmark-esque hockey romcom that's gentle, sweet, and perfect for fall reading. It's basically a cozy little hug and a caramel apple.

Parker is perfectly happy working as the social media coordinator for her local minor-league hockey team, the Appies... until her childhood crush and brother's former best friend, NHL bad boy Logan Barnes, is loaned to the team, reigniting all her old feelings for him. And then, when she needs a date to her father's birthday gala, she ends up blurting out that she and Logan are dating, which launches them into a whole fake-dating mess.

This book is packed full of tropes: brother's best friend, second chances, fake dating. It's low-heat - the big stakes for Parker are that she's never been kissed and isn't sure she wants to waste her first kiss on a fake boyfriend - but there's still plenty of tension between Parker and Logan, complicated by the fact that they both have their own issues with romance and commitment. Then there's the drama between Logan and Parker's brother, and the Appies' willingness to fight Logan if he does anything to harm their beloved social media coordinator. Just Don't Fall hit a really nice balance of tender and sweet, funny and tense.

My only complaint was that sometimes the book got a little too sweet - like tooth-achingly so. There are some over the top gestures that felt like a little too much to me. But really, that's pretty par for the course with this genre, and it's not a major issue.

This isn't the book to pick up if you want spice and high stakes, but if you're looking for some Hallmark-movie vibes to curl up with on a fall day, this is it for sure.

3.75/5

I finished this book a few days ago and it’s still lingering. I loved this book, so much that it seems to be the new bar I am comparing my next reads to. It is so full of wit that is entirely Emma St. Clair, i thoroughly enjoyed reading every page.
I mean what’s not to love? Sports romance, secretly in love with her brothers best friend, an entire hockey team of protective guys, grand gestures, swoony swoony tension- and of course kisses, the list goes on. This story is packed full of goodness.

Parker had a huge crush on her brothers best friend, Logan, growing up. I just love this trope! The forbidden romance sorta feel to it, it’s so good!
But then Logan left on a hockey scholarship without a word to any of them. Breaking poor Parker’s heart.
Then he’s back. And they’ll be working together no less!
I just loved this story, the relationship between Parker and Logan has so many layers. Their past friendship, the hurt, the hidden feelings, the new friendship, oh yeah- the fake relationship (yup, like it couldn’t get any better right?!), and of course the real relationship. And all the other complexities of each character, and the side characters, it was such a fun read.
Anywaaays, in case you couldn’t tell, I loved this story! It was such a fun read, and when a story stays with you, you know it was amazing.
This book is Book 1 in the Sweater Weather series. Each by a different author, and as of my writing this two are out with following books released one week apart I believe. What a brilliant idea!! Just enough time for everyone to finish one book and move into the next.
These books do not need to be read in order, they all stand alone, but will have little hints that connect them. It’s fun to find them!!

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the complimentary e-arc of this book in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Just don’t fall by Emma St. Clair is an enjoyable, sweet romcom that is part of the Sweater Weather series. Parker is truly delightful. She is sassy, strong, and confident. She is also hopelessly in love with her brother’s ex-best friend who is now a professional hockey player. He just happens to be back in town, and she must interact with him on a daily basis. Logan, said gentleman, is everything I love in a male character. He’s tough and gruff on the outside and we get to see his soft side because Parker draws it out. The banter between the two is fantastic, but most of all, I love the chemistry. I was so impressed with Logan and how he allowed Parker to set the pace while wooing her. And, that kiss without kissing…whew! That may very well be one of my new favorite book scenes!
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

I'm in love with Harvest Hollow!! I love that this Sweater Weather Series is done by different authors. I love getting a different take on the town through others eyes. This book will have you laughing out loud, fill your heart with love, and have you swooning!!! I absolutely devoured this book and I can't wait to read the rest of this series! I highly recommend this book!

I could not (repeat) could not put this book down!
To say it’s top shelf material is not only correct, it’s also a well placed pun (iykyk).

“Just Don’t Fall” centres on Parker and Logan, reunited after years apart in their hometown of Harvest Hollow. They may have spent years together growing up, but when Logan (Parker’s older brothers ex-bff and disgraced NHL superstar) returns home they have much more to catch up on that his time in the NHL, Parker has to learn the real reason he disappeared from their lives all those years ago.
Add in an over-bearing father and a hockey player looking to repair his reputation on and off the ice and you’ve got the best possible fake-dating scenario.

The will they/won’t they of it has had this story filled with the kind of slow burning tension that your favourite 90s rom com mastered.

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC that allowed me to write this review. All thoughts and impressions are my own, just look back at my history reading Emma St.Clair’s writing to see the legitimacy of my love.

This was such a cute, feel good romance. As many have mentioned this is a closed door romance. There wasn’t much of a plot in my opinion but it definitely gives off all the cozy, fall vibes.

I really enjoyed it, thank you NetGalley, and Emma ST.Clair for the opportunity to review Just Don’t Fall.

I will be posting to amazon, Goodreads and Instagram.

One of the cutest most pure books I have EVER read!!! The small town fall vibes makes way for a PERFECT setting for the Appies hockey team. Parker worked in social media for the Appies and little did she know that her childhood crush, Logan, would be coming down from the NHL to join the team. It just so happened that Parker needed a date to her father’s birthday gala…read to find out what happens!! The fake dating, brother’s best friend, never been kissed tropes combined made this book such a sweet one. There is no spice, so it is pure. I LOVED this book and can’t wait to read more by Emma St. Clair and the rest of the Sweater Weather series!
