Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read/review this book. The story is about
Olivia Blake survived a fire while on a school trip back when she was a teenager. Her friend, who was on the trip with her, didn't survive. Decades later, someone who seems to know what happened that day, is back to make Olivia and anyone else involved, pay. Horrible things start to happen around her and she realizes she can't trust anyone. Not her boyfriend, not her best friend. Everyone around her seem to have secrets of their own.
I found that this book has all the right elements of a good, fast paced thriller. The characters are likeable, but not very trustworthy. Great tension/suspense throughout the book and lots of twists and turns...with a great big one at the end that you probably didn't see coming!

"A long, long time ago, you did a bad, bad thing. Now it’s time to pay..."

When Olivia Blake first found the note on her car, she thought it was a prank. Then when she arrived at the house that had been on her firm's books forever and was unsellable, she assumed this was her colleague's idea of a joke. But when she wandered the darkened halls and followed the Christmas music to the kitchen where she found a man bound and gagged and doused in petrol, she knew this was no joke. Least of all because of the flames that were licking at his legs and gradually consuming the rest of him, his screams muffled by the gag in his mouth. Olivia turned and fled the house screaming, running out on to the road and without looking was hit by a car. She woke up in hospital with a sizeable headache and the visions of the man burning to death.

Days later, Olivia learns that the name of the man and realises she knew him almost twenty years ago at school. So maybe her being being at the house for a viewing that never happened was no accident. Someone lured her there. Someone who knew about what happened in her past. But then why are they targeting her? She's done nothing wrong. Has she?

When she was 14 years old, Olivia was inadvertently involved in a prank that went horribly wrong. She had been betrayed by her best friend who was nothing if not cruel, showing her true colours after Olivia returned to school in the most cruellest and shameless ways. Olivia confides in her boyfriend Noah Keen about the truth of what happened to her and together they discover that the others involved in this harmful prank have also received similar notes. But no one has uttered a word about what happened all those years ago...and Olivia was oblivious to what really took place...unless she's the one who has been sending them? Olivia denies it...but then Fern says she would, wouldn't she?

Then one by one, each of those involved in that prank die a horrible painful death. And Olivia and Fern know that the past is coming back to haunt them in a big way. Someone knows what happened...and they are making every single one of them pay.

And yet several questions remain. Who is stalking Olivia? What is Noah hiding? And what really happened in the woods all those years ago?

Teenagers are the worst for pranks. Seriously. They think it's incredibly funny but in actual fact it is downright cruel and sometimes even dangerous. Although this prank was intended to be harmless it didn't end up that way. And several other pranks were even crueller. I don't miss being a teenager that's for sure. In this tale, the teenage prank that went horribly wrong comes back to haunt all those involved in the ultimate act of revenge. It isn't totally hard to work out what the revenge is for when you learn what happened. But narrowing down who it is is a little trickier. I had two people in my sights as possible suspects. One I really didn't want to be the villain and the other one I really DID want to be the villain! LOL I leaned more towards the one I wanted it to be from about 40% in and from then on I picked up subtle clues that merely confirmed it to be that person. I was thrilled upon discovering I was right. I don't think it is obvious. I have just learnt what to look for...or what not to look for. And knowing who it was for most of the book didn't spoil my enjoyment because for me the thrill is in the ride. And Keri Beevis certainly gave us that!

A dark story with more gruesome murders than a Midsomer Murders episode, this thriller moves along swiftly with Olivia completely oblivious to everything and everyone, whilst jumping at shadows and reluctant to trust those closest to her. But as the past has shown her, she can literally trust no one as the net closes in and her past comes rushing back to haunt her.

A great set of characters, though not all likeable...in fact most of them are relatively unlikelable. Even Olivia herself was often irritating. A tightly woven plot and a great narrative makes this fast paced thriller an addictive and exciting read right up to it's nail-biting end. Even the epilogue was a nice touch.

One of the best Beevis thrillers I've read to date.

I would like to thank #KeriBeevis, #Netgalley and #BoldwoodBooks for an ARC of #TrustNoOne in exchange for an honest review.

Trust No One by Keri Beevis is a psychological thriller.

First, let me thank NetGalley, the publisher Boldwood Books and of course the author, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

My Synopsis:    (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions)
Olivia Blake is a real estate agent.  She receives an email from a potential client who wants to view a hard-to-sell property.  When she arrives, Olivia finds the door open, a Christmas tune playing, and a man chained to a chair, about to be engulfed in flames.  Needless to say, she freaks out.  But between being lured to that house, the strange notes she has been receiving, and the feeling of being watched,  she wonders if everything is tied together.  Up til now, she thought they were just a prank (probably by her obnoxious co-worker), but now they have a more ominous feel.

Olivia's boyfriend Noah used to be with the police.  He wants to get to the bottom of this, but Olivia doesn't know what to tell him....and she is starting to lose trust...in everyone.

However, soon things start to tie into a tragic accident from Olivia's high school days, and she finds that old friends are receiving similar notes.   Someone seems to want revenge.

My Opinions:
I found this book to move a little too slowly, and it probably could have been shorter.  The plot, however, was really good, and although I figured out the perpetrator fairly early, there were enough other suspicious characters to keep me interested.  I, too, wondered who to trust.  There were a lot of red herrings.

Topics include bullying, harassment, revenge and murder.  Topics also include love and friendship.

Overall, it was a good book, but just not as great as others by this author....but it won't stop me from grabbing her next one!

This was such an exciting, thrill-filled read! So many twists & turns. Left me guessing every step of the way and I still could not anticipate the ending. I thought I knew, but boy was I wrong! The plot twist of how the killer chose to name the aliases was gold. Never saw that coming! Thankful for the brief update at the end of Olivia and Noah. Looking forward to reading more from Keri Beevis!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC!

This is my second book by the author. I really enjoyed it. But I figured out some stuff early. And at times, I felt like it was taking too long. I did enjoy it.

Olivia Blake started receiving notes and initially thought it was a prank. Olivia works as an estate agent and is invited to a view a property but after arriving she walked in on a horrific and gruesome sight. She is shocked and reminded that sometimes the past comes back with a vengeance. It is now clear that the note was not a joke, but a sinister warning. She soon learns that she is not the only one receiving these notes. Who can be trusted?
This was a very fast paced novel that was had me on the edge of my seat. It grabbed my attention right away and kept going.
I absolutely love all of Keri Beevis’ books and I always request to partake in the ARC book.

I highly recommend this book and author to anyone that likes a fast paced thriller/mystery.

Thank you Netgalley, Keri Beevis and Boldwood Books!

I missed this book when it first came out due to Covid and am so glad that it has been re-released as I got to read the one Beev book which I hadn't read, and true to form, this is another belter of a story. This author has the ability to take you on some great, if weird at times, journeys and the book is packed full of scary moments. You may think you know who did it , but will probably be wrong!!

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC to review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a copy of this to read on exchange for an honest review.

After reading this book Keri Breevis has officially turned into an auto buy author for me and I am determined to read everything I have missed so far.

This author never fails to deliver such well written books that suck you in and hold you in a death grip until you finish the last page. The writing flows effortlessly and the stories are told so well it feels like I'm watching a movie instead of reading.

For any fans of psychological thrillers you will not be disappointed by the many twists and turns, suspense and excellent character development.

I didn't connect with this one. I've read two others by the same author and really liked them. Thank you for the advance copy!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this advanced copy. Olivia receives a suspicious note and ends up witnessing something terrible. It seems her past has come back to haunt her, and she doesn't know what to do. I love that I didn't know who to trust and this was a nerve wracking book!

Well the title of this book is perfect because no one is to be trusted in this book but I could not put it down. In fairness this author has not disappointed me with a book yet and this was no exception. Fast paced thriller and a race against time not to end up dead herself as Olivia tries to work out what she did in her past that is now coming back to haunt her and why it’s her being targeted. Great thriller.

I was gripped by this fast-paced dark psychological thriller set in the Norfolk countryside. I liked the narrative, and the characters were well-built. I was so into reading that in a few scenes, I felt scared. I tried to guess who was behind the gruesome messages and the killings but was unsuccessful. Later I just wanted to see what would happen next. It was an engaging and intense read and I am looking forward to reading other books by this author who is new to me.

When survivors of an accident years before start getting anonymous notes, they are scared secrets will come out.

I think having multiple narrators here took away from the suspense. I recently read another of Beevis’s books where I loved the suspense and mystery, but I was missing that here. The actual plot was good, just the writing style didn’t build the suspense.

Author Keri Beevis, the queen of chilling suspense, returns following The Boathouse (5 stars) with her latest republished psychological thriller, TRUST NO ONE —when the past and present collide, and dark secrets are unraveled in this creepy, dangerous game of fire, revenge and obsession.

With Beevis's signature style, a Prologue starts with a creepy, evil psycho voice setting a fire and ends with a twisted, sinister Epilogue.

In the present, Olivia receives a note:
"A long, long time ago, you did a bad, bad thing; now it’s time to pay. Everyone's past catches up with them eventually, including yours. Soon."

At first, she thinks it is a prank, UNTIL ...

It is the Christmas season, and Olivia Blake is a real estate agent with Dandridge & Son. She is lured to a rundown house in the middle of nowhere for a viewing.

There is a gruesome murder. Someone is torturing and threatening her. The creepy music is also playing, 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.'

DC Upton is called in. She is unsure if the detective believes her. There is Molly, Olivia's lodger, her brother, Jamie, and Olivia's boyfriend, Noah.

Who can she trust?

Who is taking revenge for a death that occurred more than a decade ago, and what is the connection? Why are they being targeted?

Then, soon, she realizes someone knows about her past—there was a tragic accident when she was a teen with some other schoolmates. They also have received disturbing notes. Things turn DEADLY.

Someone knows what happened that night in Norfolk. The perpetrator thinks they are responsible and will punish all of them individually.

As they dig deeper, secrets come to light among the friends Gary, Howard, Janice, and Fern, who can be trusted, including each other. Someone is determined, crazy, and dangerous. They are being murdered one by one.

It is the anniversary of Margaret's death, and time is running out for Olivia.

As always, the author teases you in the Prologue and offers a wicked evil twist in the Epilogue. A fast-paced, sinister, twisty, creepy story that keeps you guessing who to trust in this dangerous game of cat and mouse. A fitting title!

I highly recommend the author's books if you have not read them.

Thanks to Boldwood Books for a gifted ARC via NetGalley for an honest opinion. I also purchased the audiobook narrated by Billie Fulford-Brown. (Dreamscape Media).

I could not put this book down! The writing is excellent and kept me guessing right up to the end. And the TWIST!!!! Another five star review. I’m used to reading shorter books like those from Freida McFadden and John Marrs, but found this similarly easy to read, despite being longer.
