*I received an E-ARC of this book for free in exchange for an honest review* - Thank you @ciaratknight and @netgalley!
The cover of this book caught my attention right away and once I read the summary, I knew I had to read this book! I love the descriptive writing that starts on the very first page and continues throughout the book. It has all the small town, country, summer vibes. Even though this book is advertised as enemies to lovers, I found Summer and Zane to be more frenemies rather than enemies. There is a dual POV that I wish had a title to show when it switches but it is easy enough to figure out. This book reminds me of Sweet Home Alabama (one of my favourite rom coms!) with the country girl who goes to the city to prove herself and then comes back to the country to show everyone how successful she is.
If you like small town and city girl x country boy books, you should check out Summer's Heart!

I loved this book! It was sweet and heartwarming and Summer and Zane’s chemistry was page-turning. I loved Sweetwater Cove and all the fun and quirky people who love there.
Thank you so much for letting me read this one. It was such a sweet story on being true to yourself.
This is one of those books you can read after a bad day when you need to feel at home. Even with the clifhanger at the end, it feels cozy. Both main characters are a little bit naive for my taste, but somehow they compliment each other. I love your way of writing. I could imagine everything you described and that make me enjoy it a lot. Hope to read more from you... SOON!
Totally loved this book!😍
It was easy to read, I had so much fun reading it. Totally recommended <3
It was enjoyable, but I think some parts of the plot could have been more detailed. I liked how it represents the importance of family, community and heritage. Also, pride can really get in the way sometimes and set things apart.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.
Summer's Heart is the first book in a new Sweetwater Cove Series by Ciara Knight. It is listed as both small-town romances and enemy-to-lover tropes, which I love. However, Zane Whittaker and Summer Morgan aren't true enemies. Their relationship is complicated by many misunderstandings between Summer and her family which have spilled over into the community. I appreciated the disabilities represented within this story, both physical and mental health-related, and thought they were handed with sensitivity. The story was both silly and serious at times, which overall worked out. This was an okay read for me, but I thought the pacing of the story could have been improved.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A lovely sweet start to this series, I read it in one sitting 😃 it was great to see Zane and Smmer develop as individuals and grow to trust each other despite the potential heartaches that could have happened. Looking forward to reading Lance and Autumn’s story.
This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read.
If Ciara Knight writes it I will be reading it!! I'm happy that I have a new series by her to read! I loved all of her other series. If you haven't read them put them on you TBR NOW!! Ciara always writes books where you fall in love with the small towns and the characters that live there. I always fall in love from the moment I start the book until the end. I can't wait to read more in this series. I highly recommend this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Author Collective 20 for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
Ms. Knight always writes such beautiful and heartfelt stories, I never hesitate to pick up her books. This one was no different. Summer and Zane are both trying to fulfill their dreams. Summer is working to make her family farm into a huge success and Zane is trying to restore his family's legacy. Both of them end up working together when they are faced with a hostile takeover that would jeopardize both of their plans. As they join forces and spend more time together, a lovely romance blossoms between them. They make an excellent team as they face the challenges together. But there is also another challenge that Zane must face in his love for Summer, which involves her health. He is afraid of losing her, and she needs to convince him that she's not planning on leaving him anytime soon.
This was a charming, small-town story that was a light and cute read. A very sweet romance with wonderful characters that I instantly fell in love with. The storyline flowed smoothly and the characters were well-fleshed out. I enjoyed the story and am glad to have had the opportunity to read it.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
This small town enemies to love is more like a bushel full of misunderstandings, a touch of greed, and a pocket full of failures.
Summer left town in hopes of making a name for herself and keeping her family's farm afloat. Some health issues bring her back to her small hometown, where things have drastically changed, especially since she's almost estranged from her family. Zane did what he had to do for his mom and now times are tough. While he is a solid, stand-up character, Summer has some maturing to do and it was a interesting to watch the developments. I loved how homey and entrepreneurial Zane is and watching the two of them, with Summer's business sense, work out problems and issues creatively was satisfying.
This romance is sweet and cute, but I wanted just a little bit more. The smatterings of interactions and the zings of chemistry were appetizing, but I wanted to experience the romantic tension a bit more. And I did love the dash of mystery that surrounded the circumstances of the land.
This is a fun story for those enjoy heartwarming, small town farm life with homegrown characters.
Content: mild romance; brief mentions of health issues; moment of peril
I will say the beginning of this book had me thinking ‘are these two literally ever gonna get along?’ but they got over it pretty quick which was a nice change of pace. I loved the slow burn of romance and it felt like the kind of book that would be perfect for a roadtrip. The plot and characters were well balanced and I do hope that there will be more books within to meet the others. Everyone in the story was just pretty likeable from the start and I really like the way you detailed and visualized the small town for the readers to feel like they were part of it.
Thank you netgalley for the opportunity! and thank you for letting me read it early! :)
I loved the small town vibes in this book as well as the farmland setting. Summer & Zane make a great team & face their challenges admirably. I feel like there are other characters (such as Summers brother) who I would like to know more about & I loved the epilogue - which hopefully has paved the way for a sequel that I would happily read.
Summer had big plans for her family business when she left home, but a devastating virus damaged her heart, and she's driven back to help keep the company afloat when another company threatens to gobble up her dreams. Zach is trying to honor his late mother by creating an organic preserves company to restore his family's legacy. Can the two work together to hold on to what's important to them?
Summer and Zach start off with some misunderstandings, but pretty quickly, they're on the same side, fighting for the same things. Their slow burn romance is adorable, the story is short and sweet, and the whole thing gave me warm fuzzies. ❤️
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!
Summer's Heart by Ciara Knight is a heartwarming small-town romance that blends family drama, corporate intrigue, and the slow-burning romance between Summer Morgan and Zane Whittaker. Summer, determined to turn her family farm into a thriving business, faces a health setback, while Zane, struggling with loss, aims to revive his family's legacy. When a hostile takeover threatens their dreams and their town, they join forces, leading to a charming romance.
The story navigates family complexities, hidden illnesses, and small-town dynamics, offering a satisfying conclusion while leaving room for future installments. While some characters may frustrate readers at times, the book's endearing qualities make it a delightful and heartwarming read for those seeking a mix of romance and community charm.
Summers Heart is the first book in the “Sweetwater Cove” series. It follows a small town girl, turned big city hot shot as she comes back home to fix things with her family and their farm. It’s in her home town she re-meets her brothers high school friend Zane and there is instant chemistry.
Summer the main female character is at times a little frustrating and does see herself as the victim a lot her trying to fix everything all the time seems to backfire on her a lot! I feel like most of the book she doesn’t learn any lessons from her past then quickly everything comes into focus, and it just lost some character development through this.
I feel like a lot happened in the unwritten parts of the book and it jumped to the conclusion quickly, especially with summers dad.
Zane was a strong male character but he changes his mind really quickly on being involved with a person who was bound to leave him. This is a close door book so there is no spice but a lot of tension and slow burn romance.
Overall I liked the book it was a nice easy read, I do with there was more development with the characters but it was still a good read.

This is a small town enemies to lovers romance!
I absolutely love small town romances. I love the close relationships with all the characters.
Summer and Zane were a perfect match for each other and I loved the epilogue at the end! Excited to see what's next in the series!
