A funny book but, at times very true. I laughed alot whilst reading this book a d enjoyed it all the way through. So well written and I loved all the characters. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.
This relatable and funny read is set a few years after the first in the series and follows Sophy, Aisha and Mel as they are getting ready for their children to start primary school.
The friendship between the women is still strong, and when an opportunity arises for them to spend some more time together, they jump at the chance, but with some having to push through hidden anxieties.
Aisha has a difficult decision to make between a dream future venture and family health troubles.
Will the women pull together again? What motherhood situations will appear to test them?
I love this series as the woman are relatable and show the real side of motherhood rather than a fake one which is often portrayed. I especially liked how they dealt with the playground clicks that seem to occur, a situation I have quite often felt uncomfortable with myself.
I find myself laughing and crying along with them as they work through the good and bad times of motherhood, relationships, and life.
Friendship is the biggest theme throughout, and it is lovely to see a group of women who support each other through everything and are always there when they are needed.
Overall, a relatable and funny read where three mothers support each other through the testing new stages of motherhood.
"The 6pm Frazzled Mums Club" is the second book in the series of The Mums Club by Nina Manning. This book is as good as The 3am Shattered Mums Club! It had me reading long into night as it evoked such a broad range of emotions when reading it, from happy to sad to annoyed to laughing out loud! I also love how when I read the first book I was a relatively new mum and now when I read the second book I have a toddler so I can really relate to this book! If you are a mom, at any stage in motherhood, then you will love this book and the first one too! It's not just about motherhood but also about friendship and finding yourself along the way too!
I love this series but can be read as a standalone book.
Great to catch up with the ladies, children and their families. Time moves on and the next major milestone is that the children start school. It's not just a major change to the children but to the mum's lives as well.
Throw in anxiety, job opportunities and relationship changes, you definitely can relate.
Enjoy I did
Influencer Sophy is trying to keep on top of home and work life, but is finding it all a bit tough. Everyone thinks she is living her best life but the pressure to maintain her perfection at the school gates when all she wants to do is cry is taking its toll.
Aisha doesn't know what to do with her spare time now her twins are at school. Maybe its time to focus on herself and the dreams she put on hold. But when her mum suddenly begins to feel unwell, Aisha has to rethink everything.
And when Mel is offered the chance to live her dream she grabs it with both hands. But there's a catch - notably her ex-boyfriend who makes it clear he wants another chance to prove he's the one she should be with.
This is the second book in the Frazzled Mum's Club and its just as funny as the first book. The three mums are now at different stages of motherhood and are all struggling with different issues in their lives. and Mel's ex-boyfriend wants her to give home a second chance. Aisha's mum suddenly begins to feel unwell and this makes Aisha put a new perspective on her life. Sophy is struggling at home and work and it's taking its toll.
I love these three women and their problems. I hope there will be more to come in this series.
I loved this story of three moms, who had become friends over sleepless nights with babies, and now have school aged children. They are together through it all, the school moms, careers, ups and downs with significant others and more. I had no idea that this was a sequel until the end, and will definitely be checking out the first in the series!
What a lovely book about mom friends and the day-to-day struggles of being a mom. I really wish I could be friends with Sophy, Aisha, and Mel.
I received an ARC from Netgalley and Boldwood Books

Friends since their early days as “frazzled” new mothers, Sophy, Aisha and Mel now face dealing with their newfound independence after their young children start school. Sophy was a single mother to Max, now she’s married to Niall and mom to toddler Poppy. Talented chef Aisha, mother of twin boys with her partner Charley, has put her dreams of opening a restaurant on hold because of her mother’s illness and Mel…Mel is a singer, a performer. She’s put her career on the back burner to take care of two children so sh’e surprised to be offered a ten day gig as a performer on a cruise ship. She accepts and she can bring two friends. Her friends will soon learn that her former boyfriend is in charge of the cruise entertainment. He’s on board and he has missed Mel.
The 6pm Frazzled Mum's Club takes a thoughtful look at a pivotal time in women’s lives. Each deals with new freedom in a personal, satisfying way. I hope Nina Manning will let us see what happens in another few years. 5 stars.
