I thought the concept of this was so fascinating, but the missing poster itself was almost irrelevant by a few chapters in. There’s a single callback to it at the end, but ultimately the book is about such a wide range of chaos that the concept in the blurb hardly even touches it.

It was a bit hard to get into because everyone’s choices were so wishy-washy and frustrating. From repeatedly deciding not to report anything that happens, to trusting every new person they met, to deciding to “wait and see” if her son is found when he goes MISSING on a class trip in the midst of everything that is going on. I can’t fathom a mother sitting patiently by at a conference waiting to see if her kid shows up when he’s been missing long enough for his teachers to call her about it.

Everyone was so quick to accuse each other but then so quick to immediately forgive and believe them as well. I will say it made for a lot of good red herrings, but it also made it hard to rely on literally any of the characters. And so much random information came out that they’d all kept secret for weird lengths of time that could have literally solved everything if they’d just communicated.

If you like an unreliable narrator and if you enjoy a lot of twists and turns and red herrings, this will be an excellent read for you! The whole plot is so twisted and spooky that I am still unsettled after finishing.

This book was a really good book
Some one is putting on Facebook her picture of her son Tyler
That they are saying that picture is real
Now Ellie is to prove that the picture is not real
I had an ARC

Missing, great characters and fab descriptions of Ellie who is a single mum to Tyler, her friends and not so nice nursery group I truly felt like I was there.
Some bits were frustrating some one is targeting you and your child and you don’t call the police, found myself getting frustrated, please just call the police, pretty sure half the things wouldn’t of happened if Ellie had. All in all a great book, but with no real reason behind the campaign of terror.

What a sensational book this is, with a plot that unrolls like clockwork, and simmering tension that never lets up. Betrayal, double-crossing and the most delicious sting in the tail... I couldn't put it down.

I loved this book, it was really twisty and what had happened to Ellie in her past was scary in that it could happen to anybody.
Ellie is mother to Tyler who is nearly 4, she is a single mother who's ex-partner is marrying somebody else.
Whilst Ellie is dropping her son off at pre-school one of the more friendlier mothers shows Ellie a photo on Facebook doing the rounds, it has a picture of her son with the title 'Missing' above it. Whilst it is clearly a fake Ellie is shook, when the threats escalate Ellie knows she need to find out who is doing this and why, she needs to protect her son.
With the help of her neighbour and another friend Ellie delves into her past in order to bring the present torment to an end.
This was so good, I wasn't unable to put it down and raced though it
Brilliant.

Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. Wow what a book it was full of suspense and gripped by first sentence of the prologue! I like all characters especially Ellie as I felt sorry for her she was tormented l! This book had lots of intriguing chapters that made me read well into the night and I thought I guessing the ending but I was wrong! I highly recommend this book.

Frightening and horribly realistic.
Well written characters, red herrings and a storyline that sucked me in.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Missing by Ruby Speechley exceeded all of my already very high expectations. Having been a fan of this author since her very first release, I knew that I was in for a treat.

Ellie is a single mother to three year old Tyler. While she is already disliked by several of the other pre-school mothers, things turn up a notch when she is shown a photo of a missing child purporting to be her son, Tyler. But Tyler has not left her sight. Someone is either playing a very tasteless joke, or is trying to send her a warning. As the threats continue to escalate, Ellie knows that she must find answers before her precious son is placed in real danger.

I could not put this down. Ms Speechley sustains the tension throughout the narrative in such a way that it is almost tangible, and I was thoroughly invested in racing my way to an outcome. 4.5 stars

Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

Ellie is being tormented. Her child is hers. Or not. How does she prove it? Realistic characters. Quick read. Frightening at times. Could this happen? Is this realistic? Definitely. This talented author has written a cannot put down novel. I guessed the ending, but it was not easy. A great story with red herrings. Cannot wait to read more from this great author. Thanks to Netgalley.

What an absolute crazy ride. I just didn’t want to put it down I needed to know what the was going on. I adored Ellie and my heart broke for her so many times. She’s harassed at school by her ex she’s not really go anyone but her little boy. This is an easy read which I love I picked it up and it just flowed. It was gripping intense crazy a little scary. It’s my first book by Ruby Speechley and has made me want to see what else she writes. brilliant mystery thriller which will make you question everything’s and leave you feeling crazy would definitely be recommended

I really enjoy Ruby's books. They have great hooks to pull the reader in. However, by the end of the book, I just felt like there was no way Ellie could be that dumb. Ellie deals with harassment from the school, as well as her ex about who fathered her son. Takes her awhile to put her past together as she has huge gaps in her memory. I powered through the book and really enjoyed it, but it was very predictable about who Harry was and what he was doing.
