from my goodreads review, "had so much potential"
this title, unfortunately, didn't cause any additional feelings while I was reading it.

I was hoping this one would be more interesting than it actually was. I was hoping it would be more like the STEM romances I've read by Ali Hazelwood.
It was just really slow and I couldn't connect with the characters at all. It might be someone else's cup of tea, but it's not mine.

A set of stories about various people who end up meeting their spouse and marrying. I felt confused since that’s all this book held, 10’separate stories and not sure what the point is since I was looking for something more and did not see any purpose. This book was not for me.

Really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to follow a character that wasn't necessarily head over heels in love with the person she ended up with. Also shows that if you want to be with someone enough and they want the same things then you can make a long-lasting relationship even if it's not what you necessarily envision for yourself. The parenting dynamic was really relatable. The hesitation and not being sure what you want or who you are after kids was very relatable as well. Was a really good read. Glad I was able to read this book early sorry the review is so late fell behind with sickness, school, and work. I am trying to do better though. I am grateful that I got to read this authors story. The cover did feel like it was going to be more of a quick cute romance book and I don't feel like that adds up with the story. I do like the cover and the story though and really enjoyed how the author incorporated the title in the story.

I actually really liked this book. It went through Sarah’s life and how she handled her marriage. It took me awhile to read because it went kind of slow. I really liked Joe’s character but I definitely feel like the book needed more about him. It only really just touched the surface.

I had high hopes for this based on the cover and description; I was hoping it would be like the other STEMances I've read...but unfortunately could not bring myself to finish. The pacing and writing style was honestly so poor that it made it incredibly hard to read. The first few chapters are written in a first-person perspective, but it's so choppy and blunt. There was nothing in the writing to get me engaged and engrossed in the story.

The Marriage Formula
Written By Marjorie Duryea
Publisher Books Go Social
Release Date August 23, 2023

This was an interesting read for me. I struggled to get through it on many occasions and finally did so. This is my review….

Sarahi’s a mathematician who marries her friend and realizes that intimacy is not exactly what it shoulfpd be. The dysfunction of w how they have sex is what takes the reader on a wild ride to figure out what is wrong in her life. The POV is Sarah and she narrates the stout as she talks to those from her past such as ex lovers and boyfriends. Then we are entertained by looking for information from friends, family and of course a sex counselor.

The books exploration of sexuality as well as all of the others information about sexuality tend to bring forth a very hilarious look at what it is like to be in a long term marriage and then wake up one day and realize that you are not happy in that area of life. However, after all of her inquests and 20 yrs of marriage it seems they might have figured it out on their own..

I have to say that the authors way of telling a story is re. M ally good but the writing in this book made me take a Pause. Therefore I can only give this book 3 stars. It is a very compelling read but I just could not get past some of the amateurish writing that made me fell almost as though this was a YA novel just with x rated conversations as though it was our first time talking about sex.

Thank you to NetGalley as well as the author and publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my unbiased and honest review.

With apologies, but I couldn’t get past the first page. The quality of writing was just not present and I’m always going to favour writing over story.
