This is a delightful, warm and cosy read. Rachel always writes such heart warming books and never fails to disappoint.

Good storyline don't get me wrong but something was missing I wasn't hooked but it was realistic to a degree

I am fond of the friends-to-lovers trope, but sometimes, I feel like it would make more sense to let the platonic relationship lie since it felt more authentic. This was one such case. We have a pair of good guys, one in the friend zone with a woman he originally wanted to date and another who wants to attract an attractive and social woman while simultaneously having a constant female best friend in his life.
It is the second couple that is the focus of the book, although the first does get some serious focus as well. The emotional roller coasters that each individual character goes through are well documented, and even though it may seem like one couple has more page time than the other, I felt like we got to witness as much of both relationships.
There is not much more that I can go into without actually talking about the complete plotline, so I will leave it at the point of saying that this is a book of happily-ever-afters, more of them than I expected to witness when I first started the story.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

a very cute friends to lovers story.
A nerd wants to become a bad boy, because girls always want the bad boy but never the nerd.

His friend is a single mum and he loves her daughter like his own, but how can they find together because the dad don't give up.

cute but a little annoying how the two of them sneak around each other

Have fun reading!

I wish I had better things to say, but instead I wrote notes as I was reading:

Didn’t have to make me cry right off the bat like that
The perspective switches without warning
Conversation feels like I’m reading a script for a movie
Writing feels juvenile
Lots of British slang
Let’s randomly add in a third perspective
OOP - yet another perspective
And yet ANOTHER perspective
Everyone is so dramatic
Here we go with…is it the 6th perspective now???
Gill got drunk awfully fast…
That teacher is a witch - never would that be allowed in school…also, super dramatic.
I’m so confused by the switching of perspectives and I don’t understand the relevance of the date/times?
As awful as Eric might be, he has a right to know he’s not wanted
I’m really over the back and forth - does no one know how to have an honest conversation?
I’m halfway through the book - and I’m still not sure exactly what the point of the book is
Sarah is ridiculous and needs to grow a backbone.
Actually they all need to grow backbones.
Calling it now - Dinah and Gill are being set up by their families
I’m not buying that Sasha has worked with Rory before, but doesn’t put together that he’s Rory gallant from the club…
Nigel is serious overkill
Now Sasha suddenly knows Rory owns the club? Since when?
One final perspective change, for Pete’s sake
The whole thing with Dinah and Gill - called it. But getting married???? That’s a little fast…
After all that, we don’t get to see Belle finding out about Sarah and Rory?
Also, let’s be clear - nothing says that Rory and Sarah are neighbors.

Yea, not for me. The writing was scattered, there were too many different storylines, and I just wasn’t impressed.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. I struggled to really get into this book, although did finish it. I enjoyed Sarah's character, but did not feel the portrayal of her daughter was realistic, which detracted from those scenes.

So good!! I love how there are two stories told throughout this book. I got so into the story and fell so in love with the characters I couldn’t hold my emotions in as I cheered multiple times throughout.

4.5 stars

This one was easy and quick with multiple POVs and storylines, I couldn’t put it down! The main characters had depth to them and the side characters were enjoyable (loved Gill) – I laughed, I cried, I got angry - felt all the things! It was like three love stories in one, with relatable characters and some British humor. I always enjoy childhood friends to lovers, as I always wished for that sort of connection with a friend when I was younger after watching 13 Going on 30 and Sweet Home Alabama, etc. Highly recommend this light rom-com for those who want a feel good read!

Side Note: I was a little confused by the name at first, though it was previously published under another name - but I think the characters grew up next door to each other, not that they live next door as adults, and overall it fits!

Thank you Netgalley & Boldwood Books for this ARC!

I actually don't even remember reading this book which is not a good sign for a book. It was one I read while in the middle of an epic reading session and is unfortunately not able to stand out from the crowd.
There is nothing wrong with it it just wasn't memorable.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Unfortunately, I found this book to be very forgettable. I had a great time while I was reading it, but I finished it a few days ago and am having trouble picking out what I liked or disliked about it -- it was just not very memorable. I found the dual point of view to be a fun way of telling the story, and I was rooting for the main characters, but other than that, I just really couldn't get into it.

Mr Right Next Door is a quick and easy ready for romance lovers! It's a good palette cleanser and has multiple points of view which helps keep the reading pace moving. I thought the ending was rushed. But overall it was a great read

A story where the nice guys ultimately don’t finish last. The novel starts with Rory vowing to fulfill his mother’s dying wish that he grow up to be a good man, something he holds true to even when he’s unlucky in love. His best friend Sarah is raising her daughter while dealing with a deadbeat ex and Rory is always there for her…but somehow both don’t realize they’re meant for each other. Rory is chasing after the “it girl” while breaking from his lethario dad’s shadow, and Sarah is always on the quest for a good man, despite the one who’s been in her life for years. Both secretly harboring feelings for the other, yet never saying it out loud. The power of communication, y’all, but then the story would be over by page 5, right? The story also includes another “nice guy finishes last…at first” perspective from another friend of Rory’s, as well as the predictable perspective of Sarah’s ex and father of her child, that instantly makes him unlikable, which is the point.
While a sweet and quick read, I found it included too many POVs and didn’t really keep the reader drawn in.
Thank you to Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. This is out now.

Found it hard to connect with the characters. They were a bit two-dimensional for me.

It's also third person POV which isn't a problem for me but the lack of chapter headers was a bit jarring, plus switching POVs in the middle of a chapter was a bit confusing. There being more than two POVs didn't help the situation.

Ending tied up perfectly but I felt more relief that I finally finished the book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

all I could think of after finishing was "MEH". now, don't get me wrong, i'm not saying this book wasn't good. all i'm saying is it wasn't good enough, at least not for me. like I couldn't buy half the things that happened throughout the story. it does pass for a cliché rom-com but that's it. nothing more, nothing less. the pacing was fast so you can get this over with soon and I do kinda like the "Everything tied-up perfectly" type of ending so it was okayish i guess. rest everything, the plot ,the characters, the writing were pretty so-so, borderline boring tbh.

A very light read with some good parts that I know enough people will enjoy. Unfortunately it wasn't completely my cup of tea.
