A nice little story, with good characters, but predictable.. sometimes I wish the main characters were stronger and not so hard on themselves.

Molly has to leave her house because her ex husband's forced her to sell their house. She buys a run down shop and turns it into the BramplebPatch Craft Shop. She doesn't know if it'll be a success. Her 2 children aren't happy about leaving their schools and friends. Lovely book

This was such an enjoyable read. I loved the setting od a craft shop in a small English village. I also loved the writing style. There was no questioning it was a British author, unlike so many contemporary books out of the UK today. She had me googling all kinds of foods while reading. A criticism I have is that some of the conversations just dragged on longer than was necessary. Especially the ones between the main character and her children towards the beginning of the books. And for how long the main story is, the ending was incredibly rushed and abrupt. Overall I'm glad I had a chance to read and review this thanks to NetGalley but it needed just a few more tweaks.

This book was charming and sweet, but my biggest issue was Molly's (the FMC) complete lack of logic and reasoning. The poor dear needs therapy desperately and she doesn't seem to have gotten any of it making her jump to conclusions and unable to handle certain sitautions. She's a good mom and her shop seems like a great fit for the small village they've moved to, but she frustrated me to no end. The kids are fun and her ex-husband can go jump off a cliff. Richie (the MMC) is charming and a good foil to Molly, but a little bland at times. It also felt like it wrapped up too quickly and Molly never really got her happy ending as far as the issue with her ex are concerned. Overall, a sweet book, but not for me.

This book is an easy read but very predictable.
The Author did well with her research into how some children are affected and how they behave after a divorce.
I personally dont think that people in small villages would be as welcoming as they were in the book and am not sure that the business would be that successful today but that is the beauty of fiction - you can make it into a reality.
If you are travelling on a long train journey and want something to read to help pass the time then this is the book for you

This is a lovely story but I really hated the main characters x husband and it kind of spoils the book for me. But it is a good story about Molly and her children moving to a village to set up a craft shop and make a new life. Her x husband made her sell the family home.. You had a nice love story with twists . There was also two children who had needs and a horrid controlling x husband. The book got to me at times. A neat happy ending

A book about starting over and second chances. I enjoyed this story about a single mom opening a craft store in a new village, trying to make a good life for herself and her kids. And of course love finds her. A sweet story.

4/5 stars. thank you netgalley, the publisher and author for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. i absolutely adored this book. it's not my usual cup of tea, and while i'm no mother or mother to be, i found a chunk of the story to be relatable regardless. perks of being a child of a divorced parent, right? i adored molly and her ambition and desire to do well by her children, while still being flawed and trying to navigate what life has in store for her. i wish she'd run trevor down with her car and backed over him, that's the only part of this story i don't like. she didn't not give him nearly as many verbal lashings as he deserved for how he treated the kids. regardless of that, there was nothing about the book i didn't like. it was paced well, lots of showing AND telling, not super dialogue heavy or description heavy. i found some of the jump cuts (idk what else to call them) kind of awkward, and some scenes could've certainly fleshed out more than others, but it was overall well executed. i found the love story awkward, cringe, and entirely realistic - and i was so happy with the ending! it was nice that this story wasn't just focused on the fmc's love life, but everything else happening around her, too. people have lives outside their relationships and this did a great job showing all. i really look forward to what else this author and publisher put out!
