Eve is having the worst holiday ever. She decided to surprise her boyfriend, getting home early, only to find in him the shower with another woman. She is feeling lost and her boss at the jewelry store tasks her and a coworker with returning five rings to their rightful owners during Christmas. Little does she know, her coworker, Joe, has had a crush on her since they started working together. Every delivery leads to a ridiculous scenario where Eve forgets a bit of her heartbreak and starts to see Joe as the great guy he is.

This book is holiday movie perfection. There are so many portions of this book I could see playing out in a movie. This book made me laugh out loud multiple times and smile in other parts. This is a great rom-com, but had a mix of seriousness and adventure that made it hard to put down. This is a rebound relationship, and I think it happens very fast, as there is very little time between the break-up and having feelings for another man. I found that a little unbelievable, as she had been in a relationship with her ex for three years. It is, however, a very slow burn book, taking Eve and Joe almost the entire novel to admit their feelings for each other.

I did feel like sometimes the chemistry between the two wasn't working out, but I think that could be because Eve spends the majority of the novel drunk or hungover. I really liked sober Eve so much better than drunk Eve. Some of Eve's emotions were so real and raw though that I thought the author did do a good job of working that in.

If you want a good laugh, with lots of antics, this is the perfect holiday book for you! Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.

The author of this book was kind enough to approve my request for this book and I can't thank her enough because I enjoyed this book a lot! A lot of times (IRL), we question love. The timing of it, the beauty of it and sometimes question the universe why love sucks in the same was as love is the most beautiful feeling one can ever feel.

This book is a beautiful story of heartbreak, coping past it and seeing what or who really loves us most. Truly, actions speak louder than words. All we have to do is to really open our eyes - and hearts to be able to see and feel what love-love really is.

If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas Movies THIS IS FOR YOU! The perfect holiday read to have you smack in your feels & laughing hysterically! I hadn’t read any of Kristen’s other books before this, but the way she ties in SO MANY holiday puns & traditions with laughter is 10/10 in my book. The stolen Turkey had me cracking up laughing.

While a general rom com storyline it had its own mix of adventure, plot line twists you didn’t necessarily see coming & plenty you could. More than that I enjoyed the depth of the story with the sweet jewelry Store Owners who I felt were my own grand parents. I loved the delivery journey these colleges to friends to romantic partners go on. I like the genuine connection the story gives them, while also allowing them both to grow in their blossoming relationship but also as individuals.

I’m looking forward to digging in yo some of her other books! This was a pleasant way to kick off the holiday season early!

A cute, heartwarming story set at Christmastime with a bit of a “Love, Actually” vibe. I thought the pacing was slow at the beginning and I didn’t find myself excited to read it, so it took me longer than usual for a book of its length. The ending was sweet and I flew through the last 50 pages, even finding myself tearing up a bit. But not enough to overcome the slow start. I’m sure this book will appeal to a wide audience, it just didn’t resonate with me.

This has been one of the better romance stories I have read lately. Eve is a great leading female character. She definitely showed strength even when dealing with all of her emotions from her boyfriend being unfaithful to her. Nothing really about her was off putting to a reader in the way she handled situations regarding her feelings. Which I was super happy about. Joe is our other lead and he was the best support to Eve while being head over heels in love with her. He brought humor and compassion to her situation that helped move the story along. The whole story took place over a few days time with these two getting to see the different love stories each of the couples they were delivering rings to have with their partners. I loved this about the story. I thought it was super clever that the author had our lead characters become involved and witness all forms of love stories during their adventure together. I think without this the story would have been flat and not as entertaining. While these two get a HEA I would have loved to have had more time for the love Eve started to feel for Joe come across more authentic then it did. I wish it was more of she always thought he was cute not a oh I never saw how attractive he was type of way she had in the story. However, this story was really good and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a quick holiday romance!

Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey is a witty, fun, romantic story set in London. The main characters are interesting & a bit naive about how amazing they'd be in relationship together. The side character siblings of our main characters are hilarious in the written dialog & I would not be disappointed if Kristen Bailey did a spin off of one of the siblings in their own love story. Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC of this story about finding love at Christmas time after being cheated on by a scumbag.

For a Christmas Day, or like me a very wet afternoon or really any day you need an easy read to bring you cheer, this is pure reading escapism. Had me laughing the whole time, with tears of laughter and joy. (It wasn’t until I finished the book I realised I had also read another Kirsten Bailey book ‘Sex Ed’, which is equally entertaining.) Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

I LOVED IT!!! My first read from Kristen Bailey but she's going straight to the 'stalk and find all other books written by this author' list.
I love Christmas time, I love romance and I love really good, cheeky banter. This book has all that in spades...plus a partridge in a pear tree!
I appreciate the characters are the good guys, flawed and humbled. Especially like that they are human. The amount of bodily fluids Eve demonstrates during the 3 days is impressive and yet Joe isn't put off at all.
It isn't often that a book makes me laugh but this one did in so many moments. I would pay good money to see this on the big screen, it would be an amazing Christmas movie.
Huge thanks to Netgalley and the author and publisher for a temporary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this book. Such a good comedy / romantic Christmas feel.
A book that you can get wrapped up cosy in a blanket with and read all day long getting you into that romantic Christmas spirit.
Would definitely recommend to family and friends for the festive period.

This was a promising premise. The storyline flowed well; a light, engaging read. The initial scene was a bit much and overly revisited, but overall I thought this was a fun holiday romance.

This is such a fun festive read. It’s the perfect Christmas romcom. I only discovered Kristen Bailey last year but I’m now a big fan. This book had me laughing out loud but there was also a lot of heart packed in. The scene setting is beautifully done and you feel like you’re driving through London with them. The ring stories were such a great addition and meant there were so many incredible characters. Its dual POV and I quickly fell in love with both Eve and Joe as well as their families. I did find Joe a tad ridiculous when he overheard a certain conversation when he’d been in love with Eve whilst she’d had a boyfriend and she’d only been single for 24 hours. They were super cute together and the book flows perfectly. I read it all in one sitting because I was having such a good time. I just wish it wasn’t all wrapped up so quickly.

I had not heard of this author before, but decided to take a chance.

This was such a cute story, it reminded me of the movie Something from Tiffany's as the MMC and the MFC have to race across town to switch and return rings meant for other people.

This is a very lightweight, simple, easy to read book which can be easily finished in an hour.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest opinions.

Eve is not having a great festive period. She discovers her boyfriend is having an affair by catching him in an interesting situation, then realises he was about to propose to her. When Eve's colleague Joe (who is secretly in love with her) is called upon by their employees to provide comfort and help her reunite five rings with their rightful owners, will her Christmas improve?

The individual ring stories are both comedic and emotional, and I loved the character of Noel, Eve's twin brother. The descriptions of Joe and the situation he found himself in at a hen party were hilarious, an all round fabulous festive read.

I know it’s spooky season right now but I just had to read this now. Such a cute read. It won’t get you thinking too hard but it is a nice romance pallet cleanser type of read. Fun and quick love story.

This was such a fun wild ride. A heartbroken girl and a smitten Christmas elf dashing around in a mini. I loved the Casper’s and their match making. Distracting her heartbreak she agrees to the mission of the misplaced rings. Finding solace with humor and other’s love stories. Oftentimes Eve and Joe found themselves a part of the presenting of the rings and the festivities surrounding. This book was an utter delight. I am so happy to be leaving this review for this ARC from NetGalley

I love Christmas movies so much, and last year I discovered Christmas books and read an embarrassing number of them. This year, I've decided to completely embrace my Christmas-loving spirit and read everything I can get my hands on.

Eve finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her right before Christmas, and when she shows up at the jewellery shop she works at right after she finds out, the couple who own the shop try to encourage her to spend time with Joe, who is very into her. Joe and Eve end up delivering rings to proposing/marrying couples right before Christmas.

The story is told through each ring they deliver to the five couples, and we get to know Eve and Joe as they get to know each other. The story is told through a dual POV, each chapter starting with Eve's perspective, then moving on to Joes, usually with a small overlap in the story they're telling. This help us to see each event through their own perspective, which is quite unique for this kind of rom-com.

This book had so many of the great things I loved - Joe was so keen on Eve, right from the beginning, and he was so caring in the way he acted towards her. He was extremely thoughtful and cognisant of how she must be feeling after finding her cheating boyfriend right before her favourite holiday. Eve was also into Joe, but didn't want to move too quickly or to mistake her own feelings.

I thought the story was great, really more-ish (I read it in less than 24 hours!), and so, so sweet.

A couple of things I found confusing - the epilogue didn't seem to quite fit with the rest of the story; in particular, references to Eve's study and Joe's profession didn't seem to fit correctly. I was also confused about how Joe literally didn't freeze to death in the beginning!

I'm so happy to have found Kristen Bailey as an author; she mentions in her letter from the author that her other books are more cynical and indecent, and I can't wait to pick them up! You can really tell that Kristen loves Christmas while reading this book.

Firstly, I have to admit that I'm not a huge Christmas book fan, but I loved the plot of this one! It reminded me of a Christmas film and the humour was fantastic. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much reading a book.
Still, there are some things that I didn't enjoy that much. I wished that the characters had more depth and that we would've gotten more insight into them as people (and not just that Joe loves Eve and that Eve was cheated on and got drunk for three days straight). I liked the dual pov, but sometimes it felt confusing when the perspectives changed within the same chapter. Maybe it would've been better to have one perspective per chapter, or maybe that's just me...Another thing I didn't like was that I felt like it ended abruptly. We saw that Eve realised Joe's feelings for her and that she started liking him back, but not how their relationship developed. Instead, they were suddenly engaged in the epilogue, so that seemed incomplete to me.

Nevertheless, I think that Five Gold Rings is a cute and funny Christmas story.

First off, this ARC was provided by the publisher & author via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

And honestly I absolutely loved this Christmas rom com! It made me laugh out loud so many times! And every time I did my kid, “mom is your story funny again?”

Me:”Yes! It’s hilarious!” I can’t stop laughing at the wittiness, the great banter and thoughts of Joe and Eve.

I also fell in with Joe and Eve, the MCs because they are such good people who deserve the love and happiness that life has to offer.

Oh and Joe is now my new bookish BF because he loves Christmas too and decorates his car with festive lights and lip syncs carols even though he’s a terrible singer. He’s just the best ❤️

This is my first Kristen Bailey book and I cant wait to read another one! Five Gold Rings definitely made me LOL but it also made me unexpectedly cry too 🥹 because that’s how good this book was. It took me on an emotional journey and that deserves 5 GOLD STARS!

REVIEW TO COME

We meet Eve who has just caught her boyfriend cheating on her, in her own home. She is devastated, even more so when she finds the ring he was planning to propose to her with. Eve works in a jewelry shop and that ring is not even close to something she would love. It only shows just how much her now ex-boyfriend knew about her. But her coworker Joe has secretly been in love with Eve for as long as they have been working together. The charming old couple who own the jewelry shop are determined to help them get together and they invite Joe to help Eve deliver five rings to five Christmas weddings, hoping to lift her mood. They set off on the trip, not knowing how many heartwarming moments await them. Over the course of three days, they help families and strangers in their most important moments, not expecting that they themselves will also fall in love.
This was a very cute read! I found it really funny and it made me laugh out loud at times. It did drag a little bit in the middle but overall it was an enjoying read. It reads like a Christmas rom-com and I really loved it for what it was. The only thing I felt was a little off is how quickly Eve moves on and practically falls in love with Joe in just three days. She did just get cheated on but still, the feelings she had can't just magically disappear.

My rating is 3.5 stars but rounded down to 3. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an egalley in exchange for an honest review!
