Ho-ho-ho, what a great holiday romance! Eve is a mess and Joe is such a sweetheart, they’re both easy to root for. I particularly liked Joe’s inner kindness and the fact that even though Eve is only just single, their growing closer to one another feels natural and not forced. It’s the first time I read Kristen Bailey, but I’ll make sure to check what else she has out.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to discover this author and this precious little story.
4 stars out of 5!
This was my first book by Kristen Bailey and I was really impressed. This story had a little bit of everything: humor, love, sadness, etc. It is the perfect Christmas read, think Hallmark movie. I really enjoyed both Eve and Joe's characters and I was so happy with how everything tied up and ended in this book. Five Gold rings is a cute, funny enjoyable read that I would highly recommend!
We start off with Eve coming home early to find her boyfriend hooking up with another girl. Eve ends up going to her job at a jewelry store because she finds an engagement ring that her "boyfriend" bought for her. She ends up there with her coworker Joe (who has a crush on her) and both have been asked to deliver some rings. The two go on an adventure to deliver all 5 fives while Eve is trying to make sense of what just happened in her life. The story is heartwarming and hilarious with the best ending.
Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
As always thank you to netgalley for the oppurtunity to read this book from Kristen bailey.
As a big fan of Kristen, i knew i would want to give this a read. As always, i was given lots of giggles throughout Kristen clearly has a certain personality, and that shines through in her books, shes definitely my sort of person.
So this book, what can i say. As alwats, a fantastic piece of writing it had me laughing, but also hoping all the way through. The story itself was very sweet, and i loved the way it ended. It was very Christmassy, and would be a perfect read for Christmas, but can be read at any time of year. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy a love story.
As always, Kristen writes really likeable characters, and this book is full of them, although there is the odd one who for good reason isnt. Go and read this as soon as ypu can. Its definitely a 5 star for me
This was like reading a script for a hallmark movie - in the best way possible!! I was having a blast following Joe and eves story and their conquest to save Christmas. The writing was so enjoyable that I was able to picture everything clearly in my mind. I loved loved that Joe was a soft man who didn’t hide his feelings. It was a cute fun read that gave me holiday feelings in the middle of September!
Five Gold Rings is a fun, cute, hilarious holiday read.
Kate and Joe take us on a fun adventure having to deliver 5 rings between 24-25 of December. With each stop, a fun adventure awaits them.
With reach adventure Joe and Kate grow closer to each other.
Joe and Kate are co workers, and Kate has just broken up with her boyfriend after finding him cheating. Her employers of the jewelry store set Joe and Kate on this mission to deliver the rings together.
Can Kate find happiness? With Joe having a crush on Kate, will he finally get the chance to show Kate he can make her happy?
This book make me laugh out loud! It is a cute, funny, holiday read!
I was laughing out loud within the first couple of pages. I knew it would be an entertaining story. Loved this book and the crazy characters. The setting was super fun and it was a refreshing holiday book to read. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars.
A huge thank you to NetGalley for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this book! From beginning to end. It was absolutely hysterical. I don't want to ruin the surprise and hilarity of the opening scene for anyone, so I'll jump forward a bit to where Eve and her part time co-worker, Joe, have to deliver 5 engagement/wedding rings to different people from Dec 24-25th. At every stop, some ridiculous scenario plays out where our MCs get dragged into the action, growing closer with every delivery. It's a fun holiday read, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a laugh.
Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. I will recommend it to everyone I know!
Thank you Net Galley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. I am a Kristen Bailey fan, the banter and her sense of humor make her books so enjoyable. I was laughing throughout Five Gold Rings and there were moments where I did feel the chemistry between the characters. There were some pretty cheesy Hallmark movie moments and some moments I felt their connection could have been stronger. But overall this was a good holiday read! My favorite part of the book was the epilogue, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ed (from Sex Ed another Kristen Bailey ARC I received a few months ago) make an appearance. I love a good cross over! The epilogue had me feeling all the love and closure (in regard to Sex Ed), and the love between Eve and Joe was strongest then so it ended on a good note in my opinion.
This book was laugh out loud funny! The amount of times I caught myself laughing, smiling and giggling while reading this can’t even be put into words-it was just a funny and great read! The story of Eve and her relationship ending sounds like it’ll be a tale of sadness, but Joe and Eve’s banter is just so good and their chemistry is perfect. I loved seeing Eve remain strong when she wanted to fall apart and I loved seeing Joe support her through this time!
I can’t wait to read more from Kristen Bailey and I urge everyone who enjoys a holiday read or a romantic comedy to pick up Five Gold Rings when it hits shelves in October!
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC.
Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey is a wonderful holiday romance with lots of humor, heart warming moments, and emotions thrown in along the way.
Eve comes home early a few days before Christmas to surprise her boyfriend but ends up the one being surprised when she finds him with another woman. Fast forward to later in the day when she is comforted by her lovely older bosses at the jewelry store, who send her on a mission with lovable co-worker Joe (who happens to have a crush on Eve) to deliver 5 rings to customers on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Their adventure is comedic, heart warming, and sort of an emotional rollercoaster.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is currently September but it completely put me in the holiday spirit and I drank hot cocoa halfway through the book. (This is huge as I live in Arizona, USA and its still over 100 degrees Fahrenheit daily.)
Eve and Joe's adventure was not predictable in the least. I expected none of it in the best way. I laughed a lot, teared up, smiled even more, and could completely picture this as a movie. The ending was predictable but that's why we read romance novels, right? To get a happy ending. Do I think they got together a little too quickly after a breakup? Yes. But do I care? Not in the slightest. The holidays are all about happiness and I'll forgive the slightly unrealistic time frame in favor of that.
If you enjoy holiday romances with lots of humor, I definitely recommend this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for a review. All thoughts are my own.
This might have been a 4 star read if I had read it around Christmas. It was cute and had some laugh out loud moments! But it’s a romance that I think maybe could’ve used a bit more romance between the main characters.
Overall cute and enjoyable though, a good December read & publishes October 30
Thanks for earc netgalley!
This was a excellent book to read by Kristin Bailey. You will want to continue reading to find out what happens next! She keeps you intrigued that you can't stop reading. Will Eve and Joe get together, as they have to spend time with each other delivering rings on Christmas Eve?
Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey is a quick and delightful read that is virtually guaranteed to put you in the festive spirit.
Eve's holidays are off to a rocky start when she discovers her boyfriend in their shower with another woman. After throwing the gifts that they were meant to exchange out the window, Eve rushes to the jewellery store where she works, looking for some sympathy from her kindly employers. When the owners of the store realize that a mix-up in the deliveries will leave some customers without the very special rings they have ordered, it falls to Eve and Joe, her sexy co-worker, to make the deliveries on a madcap evening of misadventures and misunderstandings.
This is a lovely, highly amusing story about two lost souls finding exactly where they are meant to be, and sharing a Christmas they will not soon forget. 4.5 stars
Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an ARC.
This was a lovely story and the Christmas setting made it even better. A Christmas tragedy turns into a wonderful experience. Some great charactersand a fast paced storyline, which ends up jusy how you hope a Christmas story would. Great read!
This is the perfect holiday romance. It's like reading a hallmark christmas movie which means a cast of wonderful characters, a couple mix-ups, a sweet romance and everything I could want in a holiday romance.
Our main character is a part time jewelry sales associate named Eve. Even comes up to suprise her boyfriend for Christmasy, but instead finds him cheating on her. Ugh! Way to ruin Christmas dude! In order to distract herself, Eve agrees to make five ring deliveries and is accompanied by another salesperson named Joe who is secretly in love with her.
Is the ending predictable? Absolutely? Is it cheesy as heck? Absolutely! But I loved every single second and after everything Eve has been through with her cheating boyfriend, doesn't she deserve to find happiness? I would say so! It's Christmas after all!
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this complimentary ARC.
Eve is a part time jewelry salesperson. She surprises her boyfriend by returning home early from work before Christmas. No one is more surprised than she is at what she discovers, however, and her heart is broken. She doesn't want to ruin her family's holiday with her sadness, so she volunteers to make five last minute ring deliveries before Christmas for her elderly employers.
What follows is a delightful romp by Kristen Bailey that was all I could hope for in a holiday romance.
Eve is joined in her task by fellow salesperson, Joe, who just happened to be moonlighting as a hot elf when he got the call. This book is laugh out loud humorous and poignant at the same time. It's the perfect blend of comedy and romance. Simply the most enjoyable start to your holiday romance season. 4.5⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this complimentary ARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Thankyou to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for approving me this arc I was obsessed. I read this book in one day and couldn’t put it down. I instantly fell in love with both of the main characters and the amount of fun they had on their trip with the rings. Easily one of the best romcoms I’ve ever read and it was just even better being set at Christmas time.
The banter they had between each other was absolutely 10/10 and I need a man like Joe in real life. He was so infatuated with Eve and it was just so cute how he remembered such little details about her. My King for real.
Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy!
Another great Kristen Bailey fun read, this time in a holiday setting! Of course there are hilarious moments tied with a holiday twist of delivering 5 rings on the most magical days of the year! When Eve comes home early from a trip, she unexpectedly catches her boyfriend in a compromising situation in her home, Eve of course begins to spiral. During her drunken meltdown she ends up at the jewelry shop she works at and is taken under the wing of the generous elderly couple owners. Eve must fix a mess with the help of her co-worker, who has you can guess has been secretly in love with her. We watch as the two deliver the rings, learn about each other and the love of others.
I adored this book!! It was adorable, heartwarming and festive. I love Eve and Joe. I laughed out loud at parts! The elf costume. The river cruise! It is the perfect Chistmasy read. This was my first book by Katie Bailey and it won't be my last.
