Hypnotized by Love is a second-chance romance that’s worth a first look.
Savannah Sinclair uses her skills as a hypnotist to change her clients’ lives. However, she doesn’t realize her skills are about to be put to the test when her former frenemy, Mason Beckett, arrives back in town. Mason and Savannah severed ties years ago. When Mason decides to write an article about hypnosis, he schedules a session with Savannah. When the session goes awry, Savanah feels responsible for Mason’s out-of-character behavior. Their proximity stirs up old feelings and leads to some hilarious and heartfelt bonding.
This was the first novel I’ve read by Sariah Wilson. Her snappy comedic dialogue won me over. I enjoyed the quick banter between Savannah and Mason. Their conversations had a natural flow. Several of Savannah’s quick quips had me laughing out loud. Wilson navigated the characters’ former closeness with their newfound awkwardness well.
Savannah’s career took the plot in a refreshing direction. Rather than lean into typical romance-novel career tropes, Wilson gave Savannah an unusual job that served the plot. I would have loved to see some more scenes exploring Savannah’s sessions with her patients.
In a secondary plot, Wilson believably explores friendship dynamics. Savannah’s relationship with her sister Sierra and their close friend Bridget was an anchor in the story. Their scenes together did more than just provide a sounding board for the main character to process her feelings. Sierra and Bridget brought their issues to the table, which fleshed out their characters. Savannah’s concern about her friends’ problems also gave her more dimension.
Wilson explores how people naturally change over time, even if people’s perceptions don’t. Savannah wrestles with her ability to communicate her expectations against what her bias is telling her. Her push-and-pull added an interesting layer to the enemies-to-lovers and second-chance romance tropes.
Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for this complimentary ebook. All opinions are my own.

This was a really sweet story. Savannah is a hypnotist whose ex best friend/crush (Mason) is back in town. Years ago, he broke her heart and ruined her reputation. So when he tricks her into treating him so he can write an article, she's really not into it.
I enjoyed this one. Like Savannah, I'm one to hold past mistakes pretty closely. She, Mason, and her twin Sierra were super close growing up. And when he bretrayed her, she honestly did her best to never be around him again. Which was really hard, and Savannah missed out on a lot.
This book shows how the past affects us as adults. We just got to figure it out. Are we going to let it define us for the rest of our lives, or will we move beyond it?

This was a cute rom-com read that features the tropes of enemies to lovers and second chance love. The main character was a hypnotist, which I thought was a cute an different concept to plot a story around. I really enjoyed the flirting and the development of the story. I also liked the development of the characters.
Savannah grinded on my nerves with her inability to communicate, but maybe that was the author's intent. I was rooting for savannah and mason, and I wanted to see them together. This was a cute and fast read for me. It is not what I normally read, but i was pleasantly surprised.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely loved this book!! I was skeptical going into about Savannah being a hypnotist but I found my self flying through reading this book! It was so fast paced and the banter between Mason and Savannah was so funny and cute!! This was a clean read with steamy kiss that made me swoon especially with all the sweet things Mason would keep telling Savannah during the kisses! I loved everything about this book and I have found another author I need to read all the books of!

This was an easy, chick lit read. You might say it's predictable from the beginning, but there were twists and turns you didn't see coming. I did feel like towards the end of the book, the author made the main character very whiny and I think she could have left some of it out and finished the book sooner.

Savannah has been holding in fury toward her childhood friend Mason for six years over ruining her senior year in high school and tainting her name. Now he’s back from NY to interview Savannah about hypnotism for an article and her family is begging her to get along with him while he’s here.
I loved Mason and was pained every time Savannah lashed out at him. There were times where it just got old, like how is he still putting up with her nonsense?! But then I remember how my husband has been putting up with my nonsense for almost 20 years and it makes me love Mason all the more.
I wish there was a bit more on the hypnotherapy and Mason’s writing career. Both of them talk about how important it is to them but then all that’s happening is her continually hashing out her struggles with trusting him and thinking about how she wants to kiss him. It makes the characters seem very flat.
Overall, it was a sweet, fast story and I give it 3 stars.

This was a super cute rom-com/chick-lit story! I loved that it was friends to enemies to lovers (my favorite trope) and had second chance romance it in! Savannah as the main character was interesting, but did cause some frustration as her communication did cause some problems. I really enjoyed her chemistry with mason and the banter between them.

An interesting love story between former best friends and now enemies. Mason and Savana get their chance in love in this funny romance. Although Mason has a lot to work for, especially to persuade and convince Savanah that they are meant to be and to help her how to overcome the ugly past.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC! I am so so happy I picked this book up. I was intrigued by the title and description of the book and was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book! The writing was witty and quirky which made me really fall in love with the characters and their storyline. Savannah and Mason’s enemies to lovers relationship is a slow, slow burn but well worth it in the end. I found myself rooting for them time and time again just waiting for them to admit they loved eachother already! I also really enjoyed the book touching on tough by important topics like eating disorders, healthy relationships and therapy. I will most definitely be reading more Sariah Wilson books in the future!

Thank you to my partners, Suzy Approved Book Tours, NetGalley, and Montlake Books, and the author. I appreciate the gifted eARC, and I am leaving this review voluntarily!
1. 𝐇𝐲𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 - I’m not sure I ever put it together until I read this book. That feeling of early love is like being hypnotized. Everything about that person just mesmerizes you…a perfect title for this book!
2. 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 - Why must we always jump to the wrong conclusions? Human brains seem to be wired to assume the worst, and it is proven a few times in this story. Have a little faith in goodness!
3. 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭? - From a close friendship to feelings of hatred to a possible reconciliation, Mason and Savannah have been through so much in their lives together. At times quite tumultuous, yet the reader can feel the true passion that holds them together.
4. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 - A story that can make me laugh out loud is always a winner for me. If you are on that boat with me, grab a copy of this now because you will love it! I especially loved the way Savannah and Mason could make each other laugh even in more serious moments.
5. 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 - The Sinclairs and the Becketts are friends who are truly family. The mothers have held to their longing for their children to end up together. The reader gets to witness the path that may, and hopefully will, lead them there.

I really liked this book! I thought all the tropes of childhood best friends to lovers and the second chance relationship was so cute.
I’m glad he stuck around to make her trust him again!

Intriguing and Captivating! 'Hypnotized by Love' by Sariah Wilson weaves a spellbinding tale of second chances and unexpected transformations. Savannah Sinclair and Mason Beckett's complex dynamic keeps you hooked from page one. The blend of hypnotism, romance, and self-discovery is masterfully crafted. The characters are relatable and engaging, and the plot twists keep you guessing until the very end. A must-read for fans of contemporary romance with a touch of the extraordinary! 5 stars!

Cute plot. The characters are a little immature for their ages.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!

This book won me over. It was a slow start and some of the lines were cringy but I loved the latter half and the twist that ends up happening. This book was so good and I was sad at the end saying goodbye to the characters. Thank you to NetGalley and Sariah Wilson for giving me a free E-ARC in exchange for an honest unbiased review

Couldn't put this one down! This was such a cute read! I really enjoyed Savannah and Mason. Mason's love for Savannah was so real and genuine; I just wanted them to get together already. Great and quick read!

Hypnotized By Love is a cute romance story with lots of drama, some witty banter, friends, family involvement, & trust issues. 75% of the book is the internal mental turmoil & overthinking within the lead female character's brain. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book on #NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own, but hopefully, you'll put one or many of Sariah Wilson's books on your TBR list cause she's a super talented writer.
Hypnotized By Love is not my favorite of Sariah Wilson's books, but if you love a friends to lovers story with laugh out load one-liners, then you'll probably enjoy this book.

Miscommunication is usually hit or miss for me depending on the topic, but I thought this one was done well. Yes, the years of bad feelings would have never happened if they had the conversation earlier, but I liked how it happened when they were both more mature. It had rivals to lover’s vibes even though only one side viewed them as emeries. I loved the lengths Mason went to in order prove to Savannah they could be friends. There were many humorous moments throughout especially because of what happened during Mason’s session. Savannah’s conversations with her twin and how she was trying to fight the feelings she had helped it be on the lighter side but also giving the characters good depth.
Thank you @sariahwilson411 and @suzyapprovedbooktours for the gifted copy.

Cute love story, that I would’ve liked more if it was a bit shorter and the main character made 3-4 less dumb decisions. It read as younger than others by this author and I wasn’t as invested and didn’t feel like I was rooting for them much- but it was cute!

I enjoyed the style and writing of this book. I thought the characters were decent but not really anything out of the ordinary. The story was good but rather than being enemies to lovers it is more to do with a huge miscommunication on one side. I wish the hypnotism played more of a part within the book especially since its in the title of the book.
It is a good read but don't think I would re-read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Montlake for this ARC of ‘Hypnotised by Love’ by Sariah Wilson.
This is not my first book by this author. I have previously read ‘Roommaid’ and ‘The Seat Filler’. Whilst I absolutely loved both of those this one was my favourite! I’m not massive on the miscommunication trope usually but it just fit so perfectly in this book. It was a nice sweet enemies to lovers romance. What’s more to love.
