It’s taken me a while to get through this book, it had the makings of everything I should enjoy, but I just never clicked with it unfortunately! The characters felt a bit one dimensional & I wasn’t invested in their relationship. Honestly I know a lot of people I will be recommending this to, based on past experiences where I have felt similarly & they’ve enjoyed it, just regretfully not for me.

I enjoyed reading this book, however I did find it a little slow going at the start, however once it got going I was gripped. I enjoyed the relationship between to Thea and Julian, and found some similarites to the Twilight Saga. It definitely ends of a cliffhanger, and I look forward to the next installment of their journey.

I just reviewed Filthy Rich Vampire by Geneva Lee. #FilthyRichVampire #NetGalley

This was an interesting take on forbidden billionaire romance and I liked it.

Throw in a vampire and fake dating and what’s not to like?

Filthy Rich Vampire is an exciting story that brings us a good amount of spice along with a cinderella type story of Julian needing to find someone to marry during his social season and Thea, the struggling musician who needs money for her mothers medical bills.

Thea is thrust into the dangerous world and things get pretty interesting with the vampire politics.

This was more on the insta lust side for me, so i’d keep that in mind but I’m always here for some spice.

If you like the tropes, I’d recommend it! This was a good series opener with a lot of potential.

sadly not my cup of tea, i usually love vampire romances but really struggled to get into and didn’t like the storyline

I love vampire books so I thought I'd give this one a go! I liked the idea of the fake Dating and that the most wealthiest vampire still has to succumb to social pressures, is funny.

I was really looking forward to this, but it just wasn't for me. The plot and characters felt disconnected frequently, and the miscommunication trope was overused. The pacing was also a bit all over the place, which made the book feel longer than necessary.

That being said, I can certainly see why many would enjoy this. It has elements which would appeal to quite a few readers.

Not my usual genre in reading however I have to say it was an enjoyable read , the characters are interesting and alluring and written well .

This is fantasy romance and it's the first in a series.

Our male main character is a vampire and is woken from a decades long nap because his mother is forcing him to get married. There's a requirement that vampires and witches have to marry to maintain family lines and power.

But our female main character is just a regular normal human which is at the starting event as a musician and they have an instant connection.

Can she survive in his world, and can they have something when it's so outside of the rules

I thought this was going to be such a good time (and the description seems to have been updated from Bridgerton to Gossip Girl, which is definitely more apt), but instead it's more like soap opera. There's a lot of fairly pointless squabbling and I got pretty bored about the kid way point. It's not even as spicy as I expected as there's this weirdly off-putting focus on the importance of her being a virgin.

And I don't normally have an issue with fantasy age gap romances (him being 950 to her 23), she is a very childish and naive 23 which does make it more uncomfortable.

Overall, not what I was expecting.

I was wanting to give a Vampire based romance book a shot and this definitely fit the bill- plus i know they say don't judge a book by a cover but LOOK AT IT! so pretty.

Many Thanks to Netgalley and Dialogue books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a sucker for a fake dating kind of story so wealthy Vampire fake dating a human to avoid the social season? relatable. and also leads to some fantastic darker writings and urges within a romance that made this slightly different to what i read before and i really appreciated it. The worldbuilding and pacing were immense and honestly breath-taking and by far my favourite part of the book.

The characters were well developed throughout, and their development throughout was well written,
The only main issue i had was it felt a bit too instant love for me? i get that in some stories that can happen but this one felt a little too forced initially but clawed it back when the characters started getting to know each other better and actually learn more about each other.

I loved this, and am about to start googling to make sure there’s a sequel. Plenty of twists and turns to keep interest, and some incredibly hot bedroom scenes. This feels like the first in a series given there’s so much to go at and so many directions the author can go in. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

This book had everything I love about romcoms with the added spice of the male love interest being a vampire. Growing up and experiencing the vampire dominated era of publishing (I was a huge vampire diaries fan), any romance with vampires has a little piece of my heart. I really liked how it started off as a ruse, and then slowly getting to see the characters fall in love with each other, whether they wanted to or not.

Julian Rousseaux is centuries old
With so many riches, they're untold.
He's also a vampire, the eldest son
And according to his Mum his single days are done!

He's definitely not ecstatic at the news,
About marriage he has his own views.
But when he meets cellist Thea things go awry -
He can't compel her and is unable to lie!

What power does this human have over him now?
And now she knows about vampires can he protect her somehow?
Maybe a fake relationship is the way to go?
He'll pretend they're a couple and away matchmaking should go!

A story where his vampire family don't approve of them being a pair
But attraction grows, could they build on it, do they dare?
A steamy forbidden romance full or surprise twists and turns
And an ending that left me for the next book to yearn!

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Unfortunately this was a DNF, just couldn’t get into this at all. Wasn’’t sure what kind of book this was trying to be

This for me sadly was a DNF at 35% I couldn't get interested enough to keep reading on, there was something lacking for me and I really wanted to enjoy the book.

I’m a sucker for a story that features a vampire (I blame Twilight) and after reading the synopsis I knew this was not going to disappoint!
I enjoyed the storyline and chemistry between Julian and Thea (who doesn’t love a slow burn, fake dating trope). But I did think it was unnecessarily long. I will read the other books in the series though!

Julian Rousseaux, the eldest of the world's wealthiest vampires, faces a predicament – he's single, and the impending vampire social season demands that he find a wife. Unenthusiastic about the marriage market, Julian is thrust into the realm of matchmaking.

However, when cellist Thea unexpectedly enters his life at a gala, he deems her the least likely person to fall in love with. She's too innocent, too kind, and, most importantly, entirely human. Yet, with Thea now aware of his vampire world, she becomes a target, necessitating protection.

In a bid to ward off vampire matchmaking, Julian proposes an enticing deal to Thea – pretend to be his lover for a year, and he'll change her life. Together, they'll navigate the decadence and darkness of the vampire world, attending social events in exchange for Julian's protection and a means to alleviate Thea's mother's medical debt.

Thea, unable to refuse the offer, steps into a world more opulent and ominous than she ever imagined. As their shared moments unveil new dangers – a forbidden desire, the reawakening of a long-dead heart, and concealed secrets – the challenges escalate, with Julian's wealthy vampire family aiming to remove Thea from their lives.

Amidst stolen touches and hidden desires, the duo must confront a love that defies norms and unravel secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Was very excited about this book. It started off well for me, but I felt it was predictable at times. The romance was great and overall I felt like it had a good balance between plot and romance. I will definitely be adding book two to my TBR.

I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read a vampire book since twilight but this really kept my interest and I read it within 24 hours as I couldn't put it down. First time I have read anything by this author but will definitely look out for more. Thank you
