When Cellist Thea stubbles into the life of elite wealthy vampire Julian Rousseaux, all hell breaks loose! At a matchmaking event for vampires, Thea finds out about the vampire world which puts a mark on her back, Julian sees an opportunity to not only protect her but also get vampire society off his back by making her his fake girlfriend.

To say I was addicted to reading this book is an understatement - I couldn't put it down! It is filled with some pretty corny moments but also some very intense vampire-type issues. The book was an easy read, perfect if you want something that doesn't require much effort. The vampire law was interesting and I liked that Geneva chose to use some but not all vampire mythology.

The dynamic between the two main characters is good but I'd liked to have seen more depth in their personalities and more interaction between the two characters to build the romance.

I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Even though I'm not usually drawn to fantasy books or romances, this definitely caught my interest. And I'm glad that it did.
I really enjoyed the fake dating and billionaire tropes and of course it also gave me Twilight vibes in a good way.
There may not have been a real plot to it but it did keep me engaged the whole way through.
If you're looking for a romance where you don't need to think too much, this is exactly that.
It was also an easy read that I flew through.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Have to say, i found this pretty boring. I have read it all before. Julian wakes up from a 30 year sleep and goes to a party, there he meets a cellist who he decides is his mate. He invites her to travel the world with him and he will pay her to do so.

Cue family dynamics, fights, she is a virgin in her late 20's (yes okay) and the ending? really? Is this supposed to be a standalone because if so that is a terrible way to end a book. It didnt make any sense at all.

In my opinion a total waste of time. Apologies to the author as i am sure she will be hurt by that but it was boring.

Loved this story - and one of my top reads of this year. If you love paranormal, spicy reads then highly recommend this!

The premise of this book sounded right up my street: pretty woman meets twilight. Unfortunately it was more 50 Shades - which is my only DNF book ever! The constant updates of the characters state or arousal throughout detracted from what otherwise was a rather good storyline.
Sorry not for me.

I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this book. It’s very far fetched and and the fantasy element isn’t my usual choice but I found it really easy to read despite being something a bit different.

A quick, easy and enjoyable read. Definitely one of those that leaves you needing the next book - that cliffhanger!!

I enjoyed all of the familiar vibes in this - it was almost like a comfort read, you could anticipate what you were going to get with it - billionaire, fake dating - nostalgic twilight vibes - totally here for it!

Overall a decent romance read - I’m definitely looking forward to reading what comes next a I think there’s some great potential for this storyline.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

Review 💻 Filthy Rich Vampire by Geneva Lee.

[Netgalley ARC in exchange for an honest review]

"Forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest"

Julian is an "arrogant, grumpy vampire" the eldest son of vampire royalty. Every few decades decadent Galas are hosted to mingle and therefore maintain the vampire bloodlines. He is expected to find a wife before the end of the season, but he has no interest until...

Thea is an ordinary human but an extraordinary cellist. She is hired to play at one of the Galas. Julian smells her blood before he sees her, and he knows there is an instant, unbreakable connection between them. She is dangerously desired by many vampires. She needs to be protected, and Julian needs a fake girlfriend.

Humans and vampires don't mix. They battle tradition to keep their love alive.

I adored this book! It has some vampire cliches (which I love) but also some new vampire traits/powers I haven't come across before. This is the first in a series of 4 books, and I am seriously looking forward to what's in store for Julian and Thea.

I devoured this book. Sensual, spooky, and spicy 🧛‍♂️🩸

Read if you like vampires, fake dating tropes, and romance with some mystical action.

Oooooooooo new hot vampire interest?? yes please!

I absolutely loved this. Just the right amount of storyline/smut and wasn't overwhelming with it

I enjoyed the characters and the whole plot of the story tbh was really engaging.

I especially liked the short chapters and the sassiness of the vampires!

This is the sort of book that makes me understand why people leave reviews with statements like ‘raucous, good fun!’ It was a novel to read if you enjoyed book like Fifty Shades (is this another re-write of the same re-write?). Think Darcy and Elizabeth with fangs and plenty of sex and you’re nearly there. I’d say avoid if you adore ‘serious literature’ but I’d read the next one. The author has created an engaging world if you don’t mind very traditional roles of men and women (exactly what you’d expect of vampires,)

Huge thanks to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC, in exchange for an honest review. I’m sorry to say, this wasn’t for me. I just couldn’t click with this book.

Unfortunately this one feel pretty flat for me. I really enjoyed the concept of it but their were certain things that put me off the constant back and forth between the love interest was becoming tedious and I didn’t really like the focus on how innocent and childlike our FMC especially with how old our MMC was supposed to be. In the end I DNFed this one.

Fake Dating? Check. Vampires? Check. Billionaire Romance? Check. Fated Mates? Check. Bridgeton Vibes? Check.

If you like the tropes above you'll love Filthy Rich Vampire. I do think you should read the description before you go into this book, because Julian is vampire and Thea is a human so there is obviously going to be a dramatic age difference. I wouldn't say that there's a lot of spice either (due to a plot point but also kind of confused about that because of a different plot point but anyway...) so don't expect this book to be overly explicit. This is also I believe book one in a series so it does end a cliff-hanger.

Now to the review. I thought it was quick, fun, easy read. There were some bits that admittedly made me roll my eyes and without giving too much away, I'm referring to the thrall stuff. I would say that it felt similar to My Roommate is a Vampire, with the whole crash course in modern living but that's to be excepted Julian was asleep for the last fifty ish years (I cannot math). There was a lot of I hate you-I love you going on so my patience was tested there's only so much of 'I'm going to lie so she hates me because I can't have her' I can read and half a books' worth was not it.

Thank you to Dialogue Books, Renegade Books, and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Book Review 📚
Filthy Rich Vampire by Geneva Lee - 4/5 ⭐

Did I base reading this entirely on the title? Yes. Do I regret that choice? No. I'm a dark romance kind of girl and, surprisingly, I've yet to come across a book with vampires! I know, shocking.

Although there wasn't a serious plot on the go, it was still enjoyable. Sometimes you just don't want to think to much, and just get lost in the book. That's exactly what happened with Filthy Rich Vampire. It kept me intrigued but at the same time I didn't need to remember absolutely EVERYTHING and could just get lost through the characters and their developments.

As everything fake dating book, you see where this is going pretty quickly, but nonetheless it was still an enjoyable trope! And spice wise? Well, actually there was no ACTUAL spice at all and yet there were some scenes that were just steamy! You are getting all the flutters, if you catch my meaning. It was *chefs kiss* perfection.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dialogue Books for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

I absolutely loved this book. It was really hard to put down. For me, it had that excitement & charisma that means I want to sit down for a few hours & read it almost cover to cover. It’s also one of those books where I can’t accurately describe what it is that gripped me, it just had the je ne sais quoi which a lot of books just don’t have.

I enjoyed the plot (annoying cliffhanger though) & I thought the prose was engaging & well written. The characters were also interesting to me. I just loved this book & hope there is a sequel!

The steamy romance that I needed in my life right now! Despite having a few books on the go currently, I reached for this one every time. Vampires have always been a weakness for me and Julian Rousseaux did not disappoint… rich, good looking, powerful and treats his woman like a Queen 🙌 this book is extravagant, has forbidden love, fake dating and fated mates. A really easy, steamy read - I can’t wait to pick up the next books in the series.

I do love a good vampire book and thought this set up looked like an interesting story to read. The book was easy reading and a fun twist on vampire story’s with a fake dating trope between a vampire and human with some real feeling thrown into the mix. You definitely felt the Bridgeton vibes whilst reading as well. Nice story.

Offt there's both a lot going on here, and also not enough. We've got a billionaire, forbidden love, paranormal romance WITH fake dating. But then there's just not enough world building and plot. Enjoyable and an easy read though!
