This is a cute novel about an orphan who gets picked off the street to become a double for a princess who died in an accident. It's a mostly playful story with a serious overtone. I don't personally see myself enjoying this series further as it is silly in a way that I don't usually go for, but it's still a fun read.
I absolutely adored this volume. I find the art stunning, the open of the story absolutely engaging. I blew through my reread of this one and really am just so excited for more.
I have been reading this series digitally forever so I'm extremely excited for the physical volumes to be released.
Beautiful cover and quite a good story! Orphan Nina and her big eyes! I really enjoyed this Manga and will be probably continue the series.
This was a cute, light, easy read. The art style was adorable and pretty unique. The story definitely needs a bit more added, but it’s also just the first manga so hopefully that gets more fleshed out as the story progresses.
This was extremely mid.
The plot is basically this girl is poor and sad and starving but she happens to look like the princess of this random ass country who just died accidentally so that princesses half brother takes this girl and creates a fake. None of the characters were really well fleshed out and the plot was nothing special. It might get better in later volumes but this one was not it.
I really liked this manga. I think it was on the normal plot line and I did really enjoy the main female and male character getting to know each other and how they have similar back stories so they were very relatable to each other and I think this is a great start of hopefully a long series that I can read. I’ll definitely be reading more in the future so I am going to have a look if this author has any previous Publications. This story is a manga based on the main male lead losing the princess, so he has to get a substitute bride in for another country so he goes looking for someone who looks like the female lead and because she lives on the street they took her and cleaned a rap, and now she’s pretending to be the princess so she has to learn to have etiquette, and she’s also learning how to do sword play which is amazing and the chemistry between the two leads is beautiful
Nina the Starry Bride vol 1 stole my heart and doesn't surprise me that it won awards. This fantasy romance manga brings together a stoic ML and a young woman forced to play the princess of a country after the current one dies.
See how she quickly impacts those around her for the betterment and as she faces the reality of her new light and the political hoops she now is faced to jump through.
Beautiful manga, an amazing start to a story and I can't wait for what is in store for them next.
Also I feel really silly but I figured someone else might see her head piece and think about it too, the FML DOESN'T HAVE CAT EARS. It is fantasy but not that level 🤣.

Manga I Romance
I loved the book.
I need the second volume now!
The story is fantastic and is based on a fantasy setting.
The characters are wonderful, with their contrast in personalities and experiences.
Nina goes through a lot throughout the book, but she always has a strong and positive approach to life.
He is competent in everything he does, but that doesn't allow him to show much of his emotions, which makes him super adorable.
Secondary characters help to develop the emotions and demonstrate the main characters, also managing to demonstrate their story.
The drawings are beautiful, we feel the characters and through the art we are enveloped in the characters' fantasy and everyday life.
The author's work with their clothing is notable and impressive.
Great artwork, this was a cute manga! I would definitely keep reading the series to see what happens.
I really loved the art style here and honestly, it's what caught my attention in the first place! I'm glad that the story and concept managed to keep my attention, and I feel I would definitely continue into vol. 2 depending on the pacing. Nina and Prince Azure were really charming individually. I was wondering how the dynamics would be between them, and this volume really pulled me in toward the later chapters. It'll be interesting to see how things develop in the overall world politics, and when new characters are introduced too.
The cover of this manga is absolutely gorgeous!! & the artwork inside doesn't disappoint either - truly magical. The storyline is cute & heartwarming but I had issue with the pacing throughout. Maybe it's because this is the first volume, but I found it really slow at time (e.g., when she's exploring the palace & learning what it means to be royalty). I usually read mangas with higher stakes, so I think this one just wasn't for me.
This is not your typical princess story. The princess dies. A replacement is found. Nina is saved from her life. All she has to do is marry someone and go far away from all she knows. Full of layers of family dynamics. Beautiful artwork. Looking forward to volume 2.
Nina the Starry Bride
The artwork is beautiful and seems to move along well without it feeling awkward but also enough where the time passes nicely. I am curious if there is a significance for Nina’s eye color and if there is a connection with the princess. I would like to see more character development, especially for the second prince.
I do enjoy that the main character doesn’t just go yes sir no sir to the second prince and I feel like he will eventually grow attached to her. Then we have the younger third prince who seems to dislike the second prince but really admires him and gets help from Nina as she looks for weaknesses. Of course though we have the mother that thinks that she birthed the rightful heir to the throne…
Nina, who has rare color eyes, is not well off and survives with two others by "borrowing" from the rich. However, when one of the brothers passes; the other betrays Nina by selling her to slavers. Nina finds herself becoming a double for the former princess and expected to marry a prince in the neighboring country in three months.

„well done. you have my highest praise.“
absolutely stunning artwork and i really enjoyed the plot but i was a bit confused so I'm giving this one 3 stars in the hope that the next ones are much understandable.
Loved the art- the story is quite cute and very easy to read. Enjoyed it and makes me want to pick up volume 2 definitely would like to know what happens next.
Really enjoyed the character of Nina she is fun- and hope the following volumes will explore the other characters more!
The story was gripping and heart-breaking.
I felt that it dragged on a bit though when they had Nina learning how to be royal and exploring the palace. The pace slowing down so much started to bore me, so it dropped from a 4☆ to a 3☆.
Cute but not for me.
Thank you, Netgalley!
The art is gorgeous. The plot decent. The little prince she named friends with was the best part for me. A fifteen year old girl falling for a twenty something guy? Not my thing, even if it's subtle and the feelings one way.
Great story, but I'm not enjoying connecting with the plot and two main characters. Don't think I'd continue the series after this volume.
It was ok. Not my favorite manga, but not bad either. I felt like I wanted more the whole story. More details about the people, the queen, the history, etc. It is an ok start and I hope the following additions will flesh it out more. I also wish the book could be printed in color. Some of the colors seem important to the story and I feel it would be more powerful if we could see them.
OMG!! This is so good already even when it’s the first book!! It set the story and introduce us to the characters and a little bit of their sob background story! Fake identity, forced proximity, royal intrigue, forced marriage!!

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC copy for an honest review.
I was so happy to hear that "Nina the Starry Bride' was finally licensed and it didn't disappoint.
Volume 1 was a great intro to the world and the characters. The art is beautiful. It is a nice shouio manga and would highly recommend it.
