This manga has a fresh perspective on friendship, romance, and attraction. The female protagonist, Ogami-san, is so funny and yet believable, with her own past to her. And it's not just her, but other characters and the situations they get into, are incredibly amusing to read.
What really stood out to me was that, even with such a raunchy premise, the story remains innocent and true to the fact that they are high-schoolers. If you're reading this as an adult (like me), you won't regret it.
Ogami-san is a high school girl fascinated by boys and sex, but terrified of being labeled as perverted. Her solution is solitude, until she befriends Yaginuma-kun, a shy boy in her class who has also walled himself off from others, due to an unusual supernatural quirk. As the two open up to each other, they also begin befriending other members of their class.
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this manga. The description I read seemed to really play up the sexual aspects of the story, but really this is a cute story about the push and pull of friendship and loneliness. Is there romance brewing between Ogami-san and Yaginuma-kun? Perhaps, but for now they're too shy friends slowly accepting that they may not be as strange as they thought.
It's been a fun, cute read.I liked the accuracy of the feelings during adolescence and the funny way the author dealt with certain aspects and thoughts.
This manga was not my cup of tea but I know it will be someone else's.
I didn't like nor dislike it. There was nothing inherently at fault for my indifference towards this manga. It actually made me think of Lovesick Ellie by Fujimomo because of it's similarity in showing a MFL who is deemed "pervy" because of their sexual desires towards the opposite sex. I found it refreshing to see another manga showcasing that young women like young men have sexual desires and the internal guilt and shame that young women face from themselves because of the perception that others (family, friends, society) have when women discuss or even think of these desires. I think this manga does a wonderful job in displaying this complexity that young women face in being comfortable with their own sexual desires.
Ogami-san Can't Keep It In is actually great. It's somewhat ecchi, which I was afraid of, since this is seinen - but the series is actually good. This is a seven books long, which seems a good choice, since the story moves slowly and is mostly comedy with little things instead of a grand plot. Ogami-san is a girl with a dirty mind, a real perv - just inside her head though and she's afraid of everyone noticing this and thus she has no friends. She meets Yaginuma-kun, a boy, who's secret power is to get the other person to reveal their inner thoughts to him when they touch him. Thus he gets to enjoy Ogami-san's weird thoughts and they actually become friends (there's probably romance on the way too). Yaginuma-kun is a loner too because of his ability, but the two become better together.
I was skeptic about the plot, but this is actually nice and funny. Could be because this is seinen that it has more depth to it and heart too. The art looks super nice and the facial expressions are great! So, actual feelings and friendship with understanding. The perviness isn't even that bad, but a little sidetrack eventually. I enjoyed this, since I'm like her, haha.
I was truly surprised by this manga! I was worried that the storyline would be completely focused on sexual fantasies for the sole purpose of seeing a teen girl in sexual situations, but I was honestly really pleased to see something so heartfelt and hilarious. This story follows Ogami, a lonely girl who isolates herself because she thinks her puberty-fueled fantasies are abnormal, who ends up becoming friends with Yaginuma, a shy boy who has a strange quirk: anyone who touches him will blurt out their innermost thoughts, with zero filter.
I genuinely loved watching the characters grow and change over just one volume, and I especially loved how much of the plot was centered around the reality that Ogami's experience is actually completely normal for girls, and there's an unfair imbalance in what boys are allowed to get away with discussing. The way Ogami deflected with humor in the past and the way she overcorrects at her current school hit incredibly close to home, and I am truly glad to see a group of friends that is so accepting! The scene with Nezu warmed my heart and I adore how Nezu and Ogami bond over dirty magazines while Yaginuma and Matsukuma bond over crafting little stuffed animals. This story turns expectations on their heads in a lighthearted but sincere way, and while I can see how this may not be for everyone, I thought it was a lot of fun and I'm definitely looking forward to the next volume.
Very fun coming of age story with some super exciting dialogue and risqué themes.
Beautiful art.
Very funny.
Very recognizable.
It's not easy to think you are different and to make friends when you have the feeling that your thoughts are not acceptable or that the way you think about certain things is weird or unacceptable. So when you find people who don't mind them or think like you do an instant connection is formed and you don't feel like you are alone.
This one made me laugh and face palm myself a couple of time.
I really enjoyed it and it's a series that will be suggested to head-office and will be ordered for my private collection.
I found this to be very hilarious and fun.
I was laughing out loud whilst reading.
It is very crude, so definitely for older teens.
I look forwards to reading more from this series.
Really fun! I’m excited to read more, I was actually disappointed when this volume ended!

This manga is so fun to read. I wasn't expecting anything when I downloaded it, but I have no regrets! I love how Ogami-san's character develops when she finds friends starting from Yaginuma-kun. It is sweet and warm too.
Thank you so much netgalley for the digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
Okay this one right here was so unbelievably goofy and campy and raunchy and just felt so much like the experience of being a high schooler that’s awkward and figuring out themselves, the world, and their sexuality. Our mc has a curious mind that often finds itself in the gutter and accidentally bumps into her beautiful classmate who has a secret of his own. If people come into physical contact with him their thoughts are expelled from their mouths and it’s often embarrassing secrets. The two end of becoming friends who offer kindness and understanding to one another and is actually really wholesome and cute. I also thought the progression of both of the characters being more comfortable as the book went on and they both were able to branch out and make other friends as well was heartwarming because they both were so isolated before. I really look forward to volume 2 because that cliffhanger is killer!
I don’t know what I expected when I read the title, but I would never have thought I would read, “I want to see your wiener!” 🤣
This manga had me laughing more than I thought. All four of the main characters are so awkward, but not in a cringy way. There were also some parts that I think everyone would relate to, like feeling all alone and scared of not fitting in because you think you are weird. There was a good balance of emotions that never felt forced.
At first, I don’t know how I was going to feel about this manga, but it eventually got me excited for volume 2!
As someone who reads dark romance, I can have a bit of a dirty mind, so I chose this manga because the FMC, Ogami, also has a dirty mind. This manga was surprisingly relatable and highly entertaining. Ogami’s fantasies were hilarious and again, relatable. The characters were all entertaining to read about and I loved how blunt Yaginuma was. The part where Nezu and Ogami were ranting about body hair was also relatable 😂 The one thing I thought was a bit unnatural was how quickly the rest of the class befriended Ogami and her friend group of loners. They all start the manga being alone, but once they befriend each other, suddenly the entire class is talking to them and befriending them. That seemed to be a bit too quick of a change, but aside from that I’ll definitely continue with this series. It’s surprisingly wholesome and good for a laugh.
4.5/5 Stars
Overall this was a quick and enjoyable read. I do think it’s best suited for a younger audience, specifically probably other teens. The dirty jokes just felt a little weird to read coming from a young person as an adult. But if I were the same age as the characters I think it would be more normal.
I did like the budding friendships between the characters a lot and the development of the two main characters. It was sweet.
The art style was nice and the translation was pretty well done.
Ogami is a high schooler who has perverted fantasies/thoughts and one day has an encounter with Yaginuma, who we find out has this power where if you touch him you blurt out what you are thinking. Throughout volume one they slowly get closer and more characters come into play.
It is a wholesome and fun read. The description did make me feel there would be more fan service type scenarios than there was which made me debate if I wanted to try this series out, but it wasn't overly done. The two main characters are written pretty good, as they both have troubles/fears most high schoolers have (minus the whole being touched and they say what they are thinking)- this can also be said about some of the side characters as well. I love how we get characters like Matsukuma who are automatically judged based on their appearance, but are completely different and just want to be friends. I will admit it was better than what I thought it was going to be.
I am looking forward to seeing where this series takes us.
True Rating: 3.5 stars. This one is a lot of fun. We have a pervy teen girl, and a teen boy who when someone touches him, they blurt out whatever is on their mind. They become reluctant friends, and slowly start building a crew of misfit kids. It's a fun time for sure. I can see why people would like it, and why people would dislike it. I ended up right in the middle for this one.
(4.5 stars!!)
This manga is hilarious and exactly the sort of thing I enjoy, it’s wholesome and funny and what it is to be a teenager all wrapped into one. I love it & can’t wait to read the second volume!!
I enjoyed this read through. I was expecting a lot of fan service, but was pleasantly surprised that it had a decent story to tell. A teen with a penchant for dirty thoughts does not want people to know, then she makes a friend that has a quirk where making contact with him makes you utter your thoughts like you have Tourette's syndrome, was pretty funny.
Thank you NetGalley for accepting my request to review this book.
This manga is not what I expected. It is not my cup of tea. I am sure it is loved by a lot of people, but for me it was not something I would pick up again and continue the story.
