Prophet of Bones is a strange mix of pulpy fun and genuinely interesting science. It never quite manages to mesh together in a very satisfying way though. It felt a little underdeveloped. Still, the central conceit is interesting and the plot rattles along in a pretty satisfying way. A decent enough 'airport novel' type read for an otherwise boring journey..
