Take Me Home gave me so much- laughter, sadness, dogs, lots of rural big house escapism. Sophie's backstory was so interesting to read and how Hattie's tragic history was revealed was also very cleverly written. The friendship of "The Gals" was so uplifting - I do hope there will somewhere be a list of all of Laurie's curses on Deirdre's feckless ex! This was yet again another Beth Moran book that delivers a wonderful story wrapped up with fantastic characters and hope.

This is an emotional rollercoaster of a read, a great book about love, loss and friendship. Sophie makes a great main character, and the art therapy sessions provide some hilarious moments. It is set in a beautiful house, and there are lovely descriptions of flowers, drinks and gardens.

What a lovely story. I really enjoyed this book, when Sophie took on a new job with Hattie they soon became friends and when they start work clearing out the attic there is a beautiful but heartbreaking story that unfolds and as Sophie is struggling with her own issues it becomes very emotional. I loved the setting as it's near my home town and I have visited the places many times .Don't want to give anything away but its certainly well worth a read full of warmth, charm and love and the ending is perfect

Up there as one of my best reads for 2023. An amazing story of how we cope with grief. So well written. The rose part makes you cry. I am recommending it to everyone . The main character is Sophie has had a tough time and she works from a camper van. She goes to help Hattie who is famous, you get secrets of an old house and that is a story in itself, you get art therapy , a love story, best friends. This book has it all. An amazing read. Absolutely loved it . Read it.

This is another fabulous read by Beth Moran full to the brim with wonderful characters that you can really relate to!

A huge theme of this book is bereavement and the after effects. This is both Sophie's job, helping others cope with all the formalities of what comes next after losing someone close, and her nemesis due to never fully recovering from the loss of her family at an important time in her life.

We see Sophie trying many new things when she takes on helping Hattie document the past lives and loves of those who lived at Riverbend. There was a lot of fun especially once she becomes one of the Gals.

As with other books by this author, I'm sure some of the places and people mentioned in passing were characters in her other books and that is lovely that there are those Easter Eggs to bring a smile and a reminder of another story well enjoyed.

Sophie has an unusual job of helping people deal with the paperwork and other admin when somebody dies. She moves from case to case without putting down roots as she thinks that she can't get hurt if she doesn't make any attachments. This is a story within a story which becomes more and more compelling as it unfolds.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a woman at a crossroads in her life. Filled with her own grief, Sophie Potter has made a career of helping others clear the lives and memories of lost loved ones, but she can still not process her own loss.
A slightly different job arises, meaning a lovely place to stay and a chance to centre herself again, but she doesn't expect to find all that she does when she arrives at Riverbend.
What a wonderful story, filled with sadness, love, friendship, and dogs!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

I read this novel as an ARC from Netgalley and Boldwood books. This novel focuses on themes of loss, love and self discovery. This novel is captivating and sweet. It focuses on Sophie Potter and Hattie who strike a friendship and explore the past women and the relationships they have had and the losses they faced and the parallels to their own pasts. This novel is so sweet, and moving.

A heart-warming story of friendship, healing, and love. Sophie lost everything once and is now keeping her life simple and single. When she takes on a temporary job helping Hattie sort through some of her things, she ends up finding a community of women friends, a handsome new male friend, and what could be a home. The relationships in this book are touching and sweet, even though there is a lot of pain in the character's pasts. Reading it was like curling up with a warm blanket. Although the cover looks like this is a holiday book, it's not. It's more of a year in the life. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Take Me Home by Beth Moran is a captivating novel that explores themes of love, loss, and the power of facing one’s past. The story revolves around Sophie Potter, whose job involves helping people navigate through their darkest moments because she herself knows the depths of despair.

Enter Hattie Langford, a fascinating woman in her fifties, who has also guarded her heart and buried her past.

As Sophie assists Hattie in unraveling the secrets of the women who have lived at Riverbend for generations and the men they have loved and lost, they begin to recognize striking parallels in their own pasts.

Take Me Home is a beautifully written and emotionally charged novel that keeps readers enthralled from beginning to end. Beth Moran skillfully weaves together the stories of Sophie and Hattie, creating a narrative that is both heartwarming and thought-provoking. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and their journeys of self-discovery are deeply moving.

I highly recommend Take Me Home to fans of contemporary fiction and heartfelt stories of self-discovery. Beth Moran has crafted a beautiful narrative that will leave readers reflecting on their own choices and the power of love to overcome obstacles. This book is a true gem and a testament to Moran’s talent as a storyteller.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read and review this book.

I just love Beth Moran’s books.

Sophie Potter’s job is helping families cope at a time when they are grieving and sort the finances and all the other bits.

Sophie lives on the road, with her dog Muffin.

Sophie’s next job takes her to Riverbend in Sherwood Forest, however this job is slightly different. No one is deceased, and Sophie is helping sort stuff ahead of time.

Sophie doesn’t realise just how many skeletons are in this ‘attic’ and will this help Sophie deal with her own past.

This story is full of heart-break and love, and written in such a unique way that only Beth Moran can do

Another great book by Beth Moran, one of her best in my opinion.

This was a book that made me cry in parts and laugh out loud in others that managed to cover so many different dimensions. It focused on grief, love, friendship, health and much more.

Sophie was such a likeable character and I was rooting for her throughout as she began to find herself again. I loved the partnership between her and Hattie too.

Simply wonderful!

This was an unusual but uplifting read about life and death featuring Sophie who has made a career out of supporting families in the aftermath of a death and artist Hattie who has employed Sophie to help her tidy up her life admin which is an unusual opportunity for Sophie who is usually surrounded by grief. This is mostly told in the present day but there’s some interesting chapters looking back on the history of Hattie’s home and Hattie’s own life which offer a heart wrenching twist to the story. Overall this has fabulous characters and beautiful setting and a lot of warmth.

I laughed out loud, I cried and I got angry at Hattie. A good book makes you feel and I definitely felt during this book. There are so many layers within the book that are weaved together seamlessly
I loved Hattie, the gals and Sophie.
We all get stuck in a rut and can't find our way out and this helped me to realise different ways to get out and explore myself.
Loved the book
