Loved this idea of a book, and it worked so well. Exactly what I needed to read.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
I love this book and know I will read it again and again. It is the perfect antidote when you have had a long day and have trouble sleeping or even if you wake up in the middle of the night with a thousand thoughts running around your brain. You just read one of these stories and it will relax you and remove all of those thoughts that are keeping you awake. A great idea. We need more!
This book promises A LOT! Imagine relieving anxiety and depression, achieving deep sleep and healing at bedtime. Wow.
The author employs techniques of mindfulness along with bedtime stories that she has carefully curated. After all, such stories work well for children and we were all children once.
I like this book. Read it when sleep is not coming. There is definitely a sense of quiet and peace throughout these pages. Will it cure readers’ sleep problems? I don’t know but it is definitely worth a try.
Many thanks to NetGalley for this independently published title.
SO COZY! I enjoyed all the stories and try the meditations. I really love how you write. I could really imagine the words and that make the whole experience even better. Heads up! If you really want to pass through the whole experience, please read the introduction and take that into account. I would love to read more from you.

At the end of a very stressful day, who does not wish for a restful sleep, that often, takes a long time to come? Who wishes to go back to a time when listening to a story would put you to sleep?
That is the beauty of this book. When reading these stories, they reflect a point in time where a well-written and read story would help you fall into a deep and restful sleep. The stories in this book are cozy and contain fantastical and whimsical elements, similar to the stories of our childhood. At the same time, it reflects the struggles and challenges people feel nowadays and tries to teach coping mechanisms through creative storytelling. This book provides more than just stories. It also gives meditation sessions after each tale, inspired by the same.
I followed the suggestion given, read one story per day, and attempted meditation as well. I found that the stories and meditation were calming and put me in the right mindset to fall asleep (which, to be honest, did not take long after I finished reading). However, I feel like I could have used some more description of the locations mentioned in these stories. When reading stories like this, it is the depiction of the environment and how it makes me feel, that allows my brain to slow down and start to fall asleep. I recognize that this may be a personal preference, and others found the description provided in the story on point.
One last point that I would like to mention, is that this would make an excellent audiobook. I can envision a relaxing voice reading a story, lulling me to sleep with a story and a meditation session.
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take their mind somewhere else at the end of the away from the struggles of daily life. It is a wonderful way to fall asleep and fall in love with the simpler things in life. I am sure you will not regret it.
This was undoubtedly an ingenious concept, and I find myself wondering why it hasn't been explored earlier, or perhaps it's just that I wasn't aware of the existence of such books. Regardless, it's a fortunate discovery for me because I thoroughly relished this book.
Before bedtime, I delved into a few of the stories, and they offered a delightful escape into different worlds and narratives. The experience was not only enjoyable but also quite refreshing, as it introduced me to a new literary dimension that I hadn't explored before. It's always a pleasure to stumble upon hidden gems like this book that can enhance my reading experiences and broaden my horizons.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an unbiased review.

It's a must-read for those seeking solace and healing.

Skye Claire's stories are like a cozy blanket for your mind, taking you on a journey of relaxation and mindfulness. This is an absolutely great idea! I don;t know why no one thought of it before. Each story hits just the right tone to relax and clear the zillion thoughts racing around your brain that keep you awake. The lessons learned from reading them will definitely add an extra tool in that insomnia battle.
As any child who has ever gone off to sleep whilst listening to a story in bed will tell you, a good bedtime story can set the mood for a more serene frame of mind, which in turn leads to a better night's sleep.
Of course, most of us had no trouble falling sleep as kids. If only the same could be said of the stressed-out adults we are now!
The methods in the book will need to be tested out over a period before I can reliably vouch for their effectiveness. But I do think the book as it stands offers an opportunity to chill out a little before attempting to sleep. So I am provisionally giving it 4 stars for effort.
It contains a combination of soothing stories, thoughts of calm and relaxation, and gentle meditations to put you in the right frame of mind for rest. Of course, if you are reading on a device, it would probably be helpful to have something that blocks the impact of the blue light.
But with this book, some effort has clearly been put into creating a suitable atmosphere for sleep, based on factors related to both science and sentiment. So it might just work! Why not give it a try?
