I can not say in words how much I love these books. Just when you think you have an idea what’s going to happen it changes on you.
SPOILER: I LOVE MERLIN! I love that the author took his character and essentially kept him the same crazy Merlin we all loved in sword and the stone. This new added character is my second favorite to Mordred. No one can beat the dark broaching tormented Mordred in my eyes. He has taken over all other “book boyfriend’s “ in my mind. But Merlin is amazing I can’t wait for this story to continue. I will be buying both as soon as book two releases
3.5 stars for me. One pepper for spice. This was a fun continuation to the Iron Crystal series. Katheryn Ann Kingsley always knows how to craft characters that make you laugh, draw you in and break your heart a bit. She’s one of the best at the morally grey love interest, and The Prince in Iron is no exception.
The story was a quick, well paced read. A continuation on the trust issue rollercoaster between Gwen & Mordred, but I like that M is growing a bit more mature and seeing things from Gwen’s perspective… even if he doesn’t like it. I liked getting the background on Grinn, even though he’s currently pissing me off something fierce.
RIP Lancy, but you kinda sucked. Honorable mentions to Tiny, Tim and Eod.
Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
After finishing the first book I was excited to read the next book to see what was going to happen. I feel like this second book happened very quickly. While I enjoyed the overall plot and am still intrigued by where the series is going I felt that there was very little in terms of character development. I didn't feel the same connection to the characters I did in the first book.
I know I will read the rest of the series because I am too invested in the journey but I hope there is more in store for characters beyond the same emotional states.
Intense, thrilling story - suspenseful and full of hotness!
From the first page till the very last one this book kept me on the edge of my seat. Well maybe except the hot, melting my kindle, scenes. But they stirred completely different feelings...
I love this series so much. I am so glad we got to learn Grinns back story and I hope he can do some good in the next book. I am really excited to see what's to come.
