Wow! this book was like a slap on my face. So many hard hitting realization. Highlighted a lot. I wish I had read this book way sooner in life. Especially in my early twenties. Definitely a recommended read for single people out there. It was so good that I read the book in a day. The book is also a short read but requires introspection and work in the future. Thanks to NetGalley for and The School of Life for letting me read the early edition.

Unfortunately I didn't like this at all. While I do believe that there is valuable insight to be found in this book, I didn't enjoy how it was presented. The questionaire did not feel like that at all. It was always two possible answers and one was allways obviously "wrong" and the other always oviously "right".
I was hoping for more open-ended reflextion and for finding out how people are different and approch love diffently and how they need and want different things from a relationship.
Instead the auther lectured me about the right way to love and approach relationships.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to review this title :)
Wow, I really did not enjoy this book at all. I felt that the questionnaire was very much perpetuating black and white thinking and preventing people from seeing the nuances in human behavior and healthy relationships. For example, there is a question about addressing/processing unhealthy relationships with parents and the only options offered are: "Nope, sounds like psychobabble to me," and "I go to therapy three times per week."
"How Ready Are You For Love?" is a fantastic guided questionnaire that offers readers a unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into themselves and their romantic relationships. As I worked my way through the book, I found myself thoroughly engaged and entertained by the thought-provoking questions it posed. By the time I'd answered the questions, added up my answers and reached the conclusion, I felt like I had a much clearer understanding of myself and a heightened awareness of what I seek in a relationship.
Absolutely loved paging through this book! So much to think about and enjoyed learning more about myself through the process I know others will as well.
