Poppy has recently split up with someone she has lived with for a long time. Her job is toast and she still has to pay her half of the mortgage. So she ups and moves back to her aunt and the Home for Rescue dogs. She is mourning for her childhood with argumentative parents, her lackluster relationship, and lack of future dreams. But it's Christmastide, she has a sick puppy, and the new veterinarian turns out to be nicer than he first seemed. It's a great feelgood story and written so well that the characters really come alive. Can't be a true unbiased review because I love rescue dogs and the people who love them.
I requested and received a free e-book copy from Boldwood Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

This wasn't a bad book, and it was clean and enjoyable, butnit felt a bit fake and simplistic. The characters didn't seem real and it read a bit like a bad TV movie. I enjoyed the dogs and love story, it just never really took off for me.

Poppy hasn't had luck in her past romantic relationship, so she heads to Cornwall to soend some time with her aunt Flora. Can she help save the dogs' home?

I have reviewed a lot of these kinds of books, but always search for new authors. Sarah Hope has captured the atmosphere of the dogs' home so well and I was wondering what would happen with Poppy and her love life.

I'm looking forward to the other books in the series. This is the first book in the series I have reviewed and Sarah Hope is a new-to-me author.

Thanks to Sarah Hope and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

3 stars.

Fantastic to catch up with the gang at the dogs home and great to meet new friends
Polly is back with Auntie Flora after a bad break up but is Flora hiding something? Enter a new vet with new rules.
Great read and throughly enjoyed. Hoping for more stories from the Wagging Tails Dogs Home.

Poppy heads back to her Aunt Flora's after a break. Her aunt runs Wagging Tails rescue charity. Poppy gets roped into helping with the dogs as she used to do when she wants younger and loves it

A nice feel good read. Poppy goes back to her Aunts after a nasty split . Her Aunty owns a dog charity and it heals Poppy. There are secrets, money issues , cute dogs , a handsome vet and love. A good relaxing read. Animal cruelty makes you so cross.

I adore this series and I adore all the really cute doggos that can be found within. This can be read as part of the series of as a stand alone it was so nice to be back with everyone and of course all the doggos and it was really nice to meet some new characters as well along the way.

I enjoyed being back at the Wagging Tails Dogs’ Home and catching up with the two and four legged characters from the previous book as well as meeting Poppy and Mack. Poppy is owner Flora’s niece and after a relationship break up goes to stay with her aunt. She meets new vet Mack who comes across as selfish and a little cold. I was convinced that there was more to Mack that was hidden, and I really felt for Poppy and the fact that even after everything she’d been through all she wants to do is help others. A lovely story that had romance, friendship, community and of course dogs! I really liked all the characters and thought that the tricky situations were covered well.

I short quick read about Poppy who returns to her aunt's dog sanctuary after breaking with her long term, live in boyfriend. Here she begins to heal and start over, when she meets Mack. I enjoyed the quick read

This book has it all for me! Christmas, love, dogs, and more.
This story is told from Poppy’s point of view. She goes to visit her aunt Flora who manages a dog rescue. Poppy used to come visit when she was younger, always being close to her aunt.
Poppy meets the local vet in town, at first not really liking him but the more she gets to know him, the more she likes him. But having just ended a serious relationship she is hesitant. Mack is also hesitant.
When things get tough at the rescue and her aunt, Poppy pulls away. Will she be able to move on with Mack or stay in the past?
This is a sweet story. If you love dogs, you will love this one.
