I’m sorry this book was just too much for me, I finished it. But did not like the context of it. Not that it was a bad book, just that it wasn’t for me.
This is a really creepy story that draws readers in from the first chapter. I really like the writing style. I really enjoyed this and would recommend it. Special Thank you to Michelle Ian and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and Independently published for this opportunity to read rage and review this arc which is available Sept 26,2023!
I did not vibe with the book. The premise was really great but I felt that it was too bland.
What would you do if you find out your friend was a serial killer? Great premise right? But then it felt formulaic and repetitive.
However I will say that even though it was not my cup of tea I know several people who will devour this book so I leave my rating a three. It might just have been my state of mind.
Wow.
High octane read. The twist and confections and inner struggles are really what makes me love a character.
I am a new fan.
A bit boring and ended up feeling like many things I have read before. After reading the premise I was excited about this one but it ended up not really doing much for me at all.
A chilling rollercoaster ride of suspense and horror. The story revolves around Gabriel Connolly, who discovers that his childhood friend may be a serial killer. Faced with the unimaginable, Gabriel takes desperate measures to stop the evil, but it's only the beginning of his harrowing journey.
The author’s storytelling is both dark and gripping, keeping you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The plot is filled with fiendish plans, unspeakable atrocities, and a supernatural twist that adds an extra layer of intrigue. Gabriel's internal struggle and the menacing presence of the heartless killer make for a truly spine-tingling read.
Prepare for a spine-tingling experience with The Dominant One by Michelle Ian!" This book is a wild ride from beginning to end, and I couldn't put it down. From the moment you learn about Gabriel Connolly's childhood friend possibly being a serial killer, you're hooked into a tale of suspense and horror that keeps you guessing at every turn.
What I loved about this book is its ability to blend conflicted heroes, chilling plots, and supernatural elements seamlessly. The characters are richly drawn, and the sinister atmosphere is palpable. Michelle Ian has crafted a story that will leave you with a racing heart and a sense of unease long after you finish reading.
A genre-bending suspense horror that delivers thrills and chills!!
