Nothing But It All by Adriana Locke is a sweet second-chance love story about Jack and Lauren, a married couple trying to rekindle their spark. Alongside the romance, the book brings in some great parenting moments.
Jack and Lauren are characters you'll easily connect with in this easy-to-read, feel-good contemporary romance. The family dynamics and the chemistry between characters make the story even more enjoyable.
“I love you,” I say, tears falling freely. “But I feel so broken. I can’t break myself to build you anymore.”
While the overall vibe is light and fun, the story hits you in the feels towards the end, adding a nice emotional touch. Jack and Lauren owning up to their mistakes adds a realness that makes them relatable.
I really enjoyed how the characters grew, and the storyline kept me hooked. Here's hoping Adriana Locke brings us more stories from this world. If you're into heartwarming second-chance romances with a good dose of humor, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a read.
First of all, I would like to thank NetGalley and Montlake publishing for the opportunity to have an ARC of this book. Nothing But it All was my first Adriana Locke book, and let me say I was pleasantly surprised. It surrounds Lauren and Jack's marriage, and what family really means to one another. Their marriage has many trials and tribulations to overcome. Their marriage is being circled by divorce with their kids right in the middle. The author also throws in the perfect amount of sexual tension, and spice to keep the reader on the edge of their seat
I definitely would recommend this book, and look forward to reading more from Adriana Locke. She set a great pace to the book, and didn't over describe situations do you don't lose interest. The character development is perfect to where you really feel and get attached to the characters. Definitely a book you don't want to put down!
After twenty years together, Lauren and Jack's marriage is in trouble. They decide that they are heading for divorce but their two teenage children have other ideas. Along with their grandfather, the teenagers plan a family vacation in an effort to bring their parents back together. A sweet story of hope about how love can be reborn especially when nutured by the ones who love you most.
This BOOK 😍 Adriana is a queen with her small towns and big families- but this book right here just solidifies that anythings she writes can create magic.
Nothing But It All is an emotionally gripping story of a marriage in trouble that both broke my heart and pieced it back together.
Jack and Lauren Reed have been married for 20 years and have 2 kids- but everything is not well and they've definitely lost sight of paradise. Routine and life have created a wedge in their marriage, Lauren has reached the end of her rope- things look bleak for their happily ever after.
This book just hits in all the feels. I think at some point in most marriages there is that point where things can just fall into this routine and chaos and both parties can lose sight of the person they married especially when the kids are young and careers are being established. Adriana perfectly portrayed how lonely and isolating it can be to be the default parent at times. Lauren was feeling lost in the shuffle of life, forgotten in the shadows of Jack's work and the kids activities and she had to make the choice to keep being the only one to put the effort in or to focus on who she was outside of her wife and mother.
I admired Lauren's strength throughout the story, though she definitely was very guarded to the point where it didn't feel like Jack could do anything to permeate her walls. And Jack-well, he definitely had his faults- he completely oblivious and turned a bit of a blind eye to the crumbling walls of his marriage until he was basically slapped in the face but the way he pulled out all the stops, listened to the things Lauren said and didn't say at the same time had me falling in love with him along side with Lauren.
I loved the slow burn, I loved that things weren't an instant fix and they took the time to date and trust each other again. And of course in true Adriana fashion she blended these moments of humor and lightness into what can be a heavy storyline, so that while she had my heart splintering I was also laughing and enamored with every little moment.
What a heartwarming five-star read. This story would warm your heart on even the coldest darkest days, it’s a great story to watch people come together and create a new story. Lo and Jack will make you care, you will want to fight with them, you can understand what happens with them, I have been married almost as long and can see the pitfalls, so this was bittersweet for me. I love how this author manages to show us both sides of the story, without it sounding repetitive, you see both sides of the story and they each show something new. I cant say more as I don’t want to spoil!!
I love Adriana’s books and this was no exception.
I liked the story about a relationship that was failing and how they had moved apart. But twins Michael and Maddie and their Grandpa are not going to let them give up so quickly. Enter their plan to get their parents Lauren and Jack to spend some time together. Another book that I couldn’t put down and would highly recommend
4.5 Stars
Oh, boy. Nothing But It All was an emotional ride. This book is a second chance romance for a couple on the verge of divorce. Locke's writing was at its best. I felt everything this couple was going through: the resentment, the hurt, the confusion, the fear, the love, the hope. It was all there, and it all made perfect sense. I understood Lauren's frustrations and the choices she made. I also understood Jack's decisions and his confusion. These two were a mess and I loved what their family did to help steer them in the right direction. I loved the realizations they came to about each other and themselves. The deep love and attraction Lauren and Jack had was still there, they just had to figure out how to move past their mistakes and make changes for the future. My only possible complaint was that maybe things wrapped up too smoothly in the end, but it's a romance novel so that was pretty much expected. Nothing But It All was a fantastic marriage in crisis romance.
This was my first book by the author and had a wonderful time reading it. This was the perfect mix of emotional but also fun and cute!! The ending got me in the feels and some tears were definitely shed. I am a sucker for a marriage in trouble trope if done right. I thought this was done very well!
I loved the side characters.
This is a lovely second chance marriage in trouble story. I really liked both the MCs and was rooting for them the whole time. It’s not always my favourite trope but I’m a big fan of Adriana’s writing and felt she did a great job with this one. I hope we eventually get a book for Michael and Ava too!
Thank you to the author and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
There is a song by P!nk & Nate Russ’s that’s about a relationship in trouble. “Just Give me a Reason” has a line about their love not being broken just bent. I love that song because it’s raw & honest and you can feel the emotion when you listen to it.
Nothing but it All reminds me of that song. It’s raw & honest. It’s amazing what can be accomplished with real & open communication. Some old hurts can be healed when you make an effort in your partners life.

“Promise me that you won’t make the same mistakes that I did. Tell me that you’ll remember to live your life while you’re living it.”—I love what Harvey & the kids wanted to accomplish.
Things between Jack and me aren’t perfect. Hell, we argued today. But the truth is that they may never be. They probably won’t be. But I’d much rather have imperfection with him than perfection with someone else.—-infinitely speaks to my soul 😍
Though this is such a different book from Adriana Locke's beloved Landry, Mason, and Gibson book series, it shows her talent, love for families, and belief in the family unit every bit as much as those. I LOVED reading about a couple who spent their life together, finding their way back to one another in an all new way. I shed buckets of tears as I found myself identifying with those feelings of emptiness, loneliness, and overwhelm that come with being a mother. But the joy the random laughter, and the love filled my soul. She made me nostalgic for camping trips, family reunions, and the loved ones I've lost. This is a full five star absolute MUST READ from this best selling author, and you can bet I'll be reading it again. See y'all on another page!
This was such an emotional story! Jack and Lauren are married with 2 teenagers and somewhere along the line they stopped focusing on their own relationship- Lauren has set a meeting with a divorce lawyer. But her kids and father in law do some scheming and Lauren finds herself spending 2 weeks with her family at their cabin and Jack wants to repair their relationship.
I loved this story. I love a redemption story, repairing love. It's good to see things can work out if you put the effort in!
Lauren and Jack are married but their marriage is in real trouble. They don't need each other anymore and are basically living as roommates, and not good roommates at that. They resent each other for so many reasons and can't seem to find any common ground.
Their annual family trip to the cabin is canceled due to all their problems. Their kids are so disappointed as is Jack's dad, Harvey, since he has the cabin next door and looks forward to the vacation as well.
A few secret plans all come together in the hopes that Lauren and Jack will find their way back to each other. With the people in their lives fighting for them maybe they need to fight for each other as well.
This was a good book. It can be hard to read about troubled marriages because that can literally be any of us, on any given day. I appreciate the stories that I can dive into and maybe take a little something away from as well.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...
“If you live more than once, I hope I get to live them all with you.”
Wow.
This book is relatable in so many ways. I'm so grateful I got approved for an @RČ on NetG@ll€¥. Made me realize a lot about things...
When you're with someone for so long, sometimes everything becomes so mundane. Communication is really the key to a healthy relationship—any relationship... compromise is another.
This is such a heartwarming and inspiring read. I can't put the book down. Riveting from beginning to end!
Love that it wasn't too heavy... just the right amount of angst and drama. There's humor in it too!
I totally recommend 10000%!!
It’s coincidental that I read this book a day after my 11th anniversary but every word rings true! My goodness so many times did I feel like Lo! Marriage, kids, life, it’s all so hard to juggle sometimes! I don’t think I have ever identified with a character like I did with Lauren!
What I love though is that even though you could easily “hate” Jack, the way Locke wrote this book you don’t! You can see both of their points of view! The story was so realistic and raw. My heart was so broken for these two and I was cheering for them because I see my life in these pages and I wanted them to find their way back!
So many romance books are focused on the blossoming love. But what happens after you say I do! Is forever always followed through? Getting this glimpse of what comes next and how in relationships and life you grow and so that growth means adjusting and learning who each other is each day.
“The thing that got us through them was simple—we wanted to get through them. It’s amazing how far that one little thing goes.” Love is a conscious choice that needs to be made every day. Love is fighting for one another and being there even when it’s tough. Locke did a phenomenal job at truly showcasing what comes after “I do”!
this was sweet, a solid marriage in crisis book but to me it did have its flaws. I wish the plot with jack's dad didnt' take up so much time, it didn't make the resolution between them feel as realistic as it couldve been. I did think it was sweet so if you're looking for that you'd like this. I received an arc from netgalley.
This is a highly relatable, realistic, story full of heart.
I've read so many Adriana Locke books because there's just something about her writing that sucks you right in and makes you love her characters. This one is no different.
I think my favorite thing about this is the way Locke wrote the conversations between Lauren and Jack about their problems throughout the book. This is a marriage in crisis story, and she did such a good job showing different sides of everything. There was a lot of introspection as well, and I really liked that too.
While there was a lot of seriousness centered, there was an equal amount of fun and laughs in this too. I laughed, cried–both heartbreaking and heartwarming tears–and enjoyed every second of this book.
Thank you, Montlake, for the ARC.
This book was a fantastic read. Adriana Locke really knows how to write a book with plenty of angst.
I absolutely loved it.
Absolutely loved this book! So refreshing to get a second chance romance where the characters are married. This story was so relatable. Jack and Lauren’s marriage is struggling after 20 years and with busy lives and teens to raise. A grumpy grandfather and the kids conspire to save the marriage. As usual Adriana Locke created a family of characters you will love and root for!
My first from Adriana Locke and I absolutely loved it!
