Nothing But It All by A. Locke, published by Montlake is a full length, stand-alone, small town romance.
Lauren and Jack are married for twenty years with two teenagers. Cracks are showing, they're struggling, the stay at home mom and the auto shop worker. Lauren already gave up and wants to move on alone, but the kids have other plans. Roped to go on vacation with all of them, they're on a 14 day summer vacation. 14 days of hope, longing, heartbreak.
A heartwrenching, heartfelt, heartwarming, gives all the feels story from an author who knows how to keep her readers captivated and intrigued from start till the last page.
This was only my second marriage in trouble book and I didn’t care for my first one so I didn’t have high expectations for this book but read anyway cause love Adriana as an author. I LOVED IT!!
I’m not a big fan of time jumps and I thought with a marriage in trouble book there would be some but Adriana was able to convey the story and situation with only one time jump which was between the prologue and chapter 1.
If you’re big on spice there’s not much, but still 100% worth the read!
Though there were parts where Jack and Lauren would place blame and not take responsibility for the troubles in their marriage I love how we saw the growth in each of them when they made self discoveries and both started making the effort.
Harvey, Michael and Maddie are the perfect scheming supporting characters. Usually I’m so focused on the main characters that I don’t pay any mind to the “background” characters but I loved their family dynamic. Also, can’t forget to give the love to the sassy yet adorable Snaps.
THIS BOOK!!! When I saw it I knew I would automatically read it because HELLO it’s Adriana Locke!! Then I read the synopsis and was like MUST READ NOW!! This is unlike anything she’s written before. It’s 1000000% relatable. It’s not your fall in love story, how they met and fell for each other. It’s your we’ve been together forever and life has happened and have we grown/changed to much for this to work. Is it time to just throw in the towel and let it all go. It’s about knowing that marriage isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. It’s hard work to keep a marriage. You will go through the good and bad times but the real question is do you want to go through them together??!!! I loved the character growth in this story. I loved that through out the book though there were some pointed fingers the characters were able to go wait, BUT I stopped doing this or I didn’t do this or wow, I didn’t really realize. Loved every minute of this story. Go read it!!!
I love everything about this story. The storyline felt realistic and as if the reader is right there experiencing it all with the characters. The anguish of the characters and their situation. It really makes you stop and think about your own life and experiences. It’s true love and reestablishing what was once there, but somehow was lost along the way. I’m all in on this one and highly recommend it to everyone. You all need to click this.
What an incredible read. From the very first chapter I was drawn into the Lauren and Jack's story. A married couple that has lost their way. Lauren has had enough and she if ready to file for divorce and move on with her life. She feels like she has lost herself in her marriage. That she is no longer a person but just a mother who takes care of everything with no help from her husband. Jack honestly does not realize that Lauren wants a divorce. He loves his wife and he has no idea what he did wrong or how to fix it. It is a good thing that their children, Michael and Maggie, and Jack's dad know just what to do. They trick Lauren and Jack into the family vacation that they cancelled. During this vacation they both learn so much about each other and their relationship. It is such a heartwarming read. It will pull at your heartstrings. I am really hoping that Michael and Maggie get their own books. I would love to read more about this family. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4* Not what I expected. Despite the 'meddling' there's nothing faux or contrived about this tale. Just love and famiy.
As my into to this author, this is an impressive tale of a long-married couple that's allowed life and work to get in the way of connecting with each other, and they're in danger of losing what it is that brought them together, except, their kids and one of the granddads, have other plans.
This could have been cliche and faux but there was real warmth to this tale, as well as adults being adults and not tetchy, spoiled, selfish people, and there was genuine love, liking and respect for each other, though with the leads, they'd lost sight of some of that.
Yes, there was a bit of meddling but it was lighthearted, it was believable and it was something I could see happening in a family that loved each other and didn't want to give up on each other. It could have been faux and cheesy, with kids involved, but add in the granddad, and it ended up a great, sweet, emotional tale with a litle turnabout that felt believable, too.

Nothing But It All by Adriana Locke is a second chance marriage-in-trouble romance. This is Lauren and Jack‘s story.
From the outside Lauren and Jack have a good life with two kids and a house. But at this point they’ve almost fallen out of love and are no more than roommates.
Lauren single-handedly runs the household and cares for the kids. She is like a super mom and more like a single parent. But she can’t do this anymore and it’s sucking all her happiness. This was so sad to see, and I could understand her point of view perfectly.
Jack‘s mechanic shop is something he built from the ground up. That was admirable, but at the same time he spent more time apart from his family and especially wife. He did a horrible job of being a father and a husband and I honestly don’t understand how we couldn’t see that earlier.
Their marriage is on the brink of being over, but their teenage kids lure them into the family‘s cabin in hopes of them reconnecting. Their kids were the best and I liked the role they played in the story. Lauren carried all the weight of their relationship and it’s on Jack to do something about it. During the first half of the book Jake just listened but didn’t show any actions and that bothered me. He had it all and just needed to put in the effort, which he finally does. I liked how they reconnected, but wish this book included couples therapy and the characters could have really benefited from it.
Overall, this is a good marriage-in-trouble romance. 4 stars.

Love the emotion in this book. The characters are lovable and the descriptive writing draws you in. If you want to read about relatable real world problems, this book is for you
A beautifully written love story about a married couple finding their way back to each other, with a little help from their family members (teenaged son and daughter and their grandfather). Featuring side love stories involving those family members, giving a fun multi-generational view of love in ages and stages of life.
LOVED!!
Loved, loved, loved. I could not put this down and a marriage in trouble trope? It’s been so long!
I was enchanted with Nothing but It All. Lo and Jack were going through so much and you are out right into the middle of it. You can’t help but feel heartbroken and hopeful.
The star of this book though!? Harvey! Oh what an adorable silly old man! What a character, I loved him and the kids.
The side characters are equally important as Lo and Jack and I loved all of them.
I feel like I want to just re read this over again to feel all the feelings I just did!
Bravo!

Adriana Locke has been an auto buy author for me for years. Marriage in trouble books are not my favorite at all but this one was pretty good. I don’t think I’ve read characters so real like Lauren and Jack in a long time. They’ve been married for 20 years and have made a beautiful life together but as their kids get older it’s been harder for them. This book gave the most perfect Parent Trap vibes. Michael & Maddie scheme together through out this whole book especially when Harvey is involved. The way that Michael is protective of Maddie reminds me and me and my brother and I love the vibes. There were points where I was frustrated but it just showed how real everything about this was. This HEA was wrapped up nicely and actually seemed realistic much like the rest of this book! 4/5 ⭐️
“My life may not be perfect. My marriage certainly isn’t. But my life with these people, with Jack and Harvey, is infinitely better than my life would be without them. I don’t need them—I’ve proven that. But I want them”.
This was like the perfect child of the Parent Trap meets The Divorce.
It was a book about putting yourself first after experiencing pain and yet still having the courage to go after love.
Jack has a rude awakening when he realizes that his wife, Lauren, is planning to ask for a divorce. It is not like Lauren does not have good reasons to go for it, instead, we have two MCs who have not been honest or intimate with each other for years.
It was clear Jack had started taking Lauren for granted, and it was really sweet to see them work on their marriage and save it. The mature conversations and the angsty bits made the book so much better in my eyes.
Also have to give props to Mads and Michael for never losing faith in the love that their parents had for each other, from orchestrating their retreat to Story Brook to abandoning them both on a boat.
The side characters were all superb and perfectly carved out for this marriage in trouble book. Even Snap the Dog was so loveable.
It was not just a love story it's a small-town story about the life we all live which made the HEA much sweeter. It dealt with themes such as the death of loved ones, realizing your faults, and working towards personal growth.

I am a massive fan of adriana’s, love all of her books and this one isn’t so different. I loved every word of it and I was enthralled by it all. Highly recommend reading.
Oh my god!! I inhaled this book in one single sitting. I literally could not put it down. It was witty, it was sexy, it was heart-warming, it was swoony, it was everything I love in a book!
First time reading this author and I can tell you that it wont be the last. Nothing but it All is about togetherness and how families reach out to each. Its also about never giving up. The characters in this book come to life and will stay with you long after you close the book. I found this book to be quick read and a touching story about love, loyalty, and togetherness. Read it when you dont have anything to do...because I promise you wont put it down until you read the last page.
This book is wonderfully real and touching. I think anyone that’s been married awhile will see glimpses of their own lives in this book. It’s a reminder to appreciate your partner, listen to each other and don’t take them for granted.
Oh my goodness...THIS BOOK!!! Adriana Locke is absolutely amazing. She is hands down one of my favorite authors.
Lauren and Jack's story is so relatable, whether you're a stay at home mom like Lauren or maybe married a couple decades and just feel like you're more roommates with your husband then lovers. It shows how lack of and mis-communication damages your relationship. What true love and fighting for that love is all about. It's a heart wrenching and heart warming story. It will have you on a roller coaster of emotions but I promise you will LOVE IT!
Thank you to Adriana Locke, Montlake and Netgalley for this ARC!
I love a good reconciliation story, especially when it has to do with two people who have been married to each other for several years. There's just something so heart-wrenchingly beautiful about seeing two people fall back in love with each other. And boy, did this book deliver!
I loved both Lauren and Jack equally. They'd gone from two people who were disgustingly in love to not more than just roommates over the span of their twenty years together, and at the start of the story, they'd just acknowledged that the status quo just wasn't cutting it.
At the beginning of the story, it seemed like the fault was primarily in Jack's hands. He'd become more-or-less a workaholic who'd taken Lauren for granted. He took care of making the dough to support their family, but Lauren basically did everything else for the family, and she had no life outside of taking care of her family.
Enter Michael and Maddie, they're meddlesome, yet adorable teenagers. After sensing the cracks in their parents' marriage, they conspire with their grandfather and concoct a plan to "Parent Trap" Lauren and Jack into spending two weeks in Story Brook, a.k.a. their favorite Summer getaway.
It is in Story Brook that Lauren and Jack finally take the time to unpack the little facets of their marriage and its downfall and try to figure out where things went wrong. What I loved was how neither of them wanted their marriage to end. While Lauren felt like the only way through was out, she never truly wanted out of their marriage.
As they painstakingly dissect the little things that went wrong, Lauren learns that she, too, is also to blame for what's happened to them. Amidst tearful confessions and difficult conversations, Lauren and Jack begin to find their way back to each other.
Michael and Maggie are relentless in their quest to make their parents fall back in love with each other, even abandoning them on a boat, but none of it is malicious. In fact, Michael does confess at some point that all he wants it for them to give it one more chance.
What I absolutely loved about this story was the maturity of the characters. It was incredibly realistic and handled so well. While Lauren and Jack sometimes made assumptions about the other, they fought with and for each other until they got to the root of each problem. They resolved their conflicts through mature conversations and a newfound understanding of the other person's needs.
This is hands down one of my favorite marriage reconciliation romances ever!

I don’t always like to read the marriage in trouble trope because it can be heartbreaking and sad but Adriana Locke is a one-click author for me and I trusted (rightfully so) that she would bring me a heartfelt, emotional, relatable romance and still provide the HEA that I crave. The characters in this story are very relatable indeed (almost too relatable) and the storyline hits very close to home with me. Jack is a blue-collar worker who in trying to provide a life for his family unintentionally removed himself from it. Lauren (Lo) is a stay at home mom who, while trying to build and support the lives of the rest of her family, lost herself and her own identity. This romance explores love in all stages of life but focuses mainly on the emotions, challenges and complexities that Jack and Lo face with maintaining a loving long term relationship and marriage of 20 years. During their “watershed moments” of growth and change, Jack and Lauren both have moments of self-discovery and self-awareness and must decide if they want their marriage enough to fight for it. In the end, they realize that marriage isn’t perfect; that what they each bring to the other’s life is better than anything else out there and that they’d much rather have imperfection with each other than perfection with someone else. This book is not overly spicy but it is beautiful and real and I would recommend giving it a read.

A heartwarming while still anguishing story about a married couple on the brink of divorce and the long journey back to each other.
Jack (MMC): blue-collar auto shop owner who works hard to provide for his family but at the sacrifice of his marriage
Lauren (Lo) (FMC): stay at home mom who puts everyone first even at the sacrifice of putting herself and her marriage last

After 20 years of marriage, Jack and Lauren are struggling. Feeling more like roommates adrift, their kids (teenagers) and grandfather (Jack's dad) arrange a family vacation at a lakeside cabin in the woods. This story is full of family dynamics, self discovery, marriage challenges, and heart. While I did enjoy this story, I did wish we saw the couple together more. One big contention in their marriage was lack of intimacy and I feel it was a big miss to not give a little more of it on page. Overall, a great read with heartbreaking and beautiful moments. No one writes a small town, blue-collar story like Adriana Locke.
