I love these ice breakers! Hot romance, action and suspense my kind of books, and this is another can’t put Dow until it’s finished. When US Marshal Titan catches up with Cassidy. She’s not what he expected, but has he lead a killer straight to her?

FORGED FROM ICE is the sixth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult ICE BREAKERS: COLD CASE romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Ice Breakers, an online team of crime solvers whose goal is to solve cold cases. This is US Marshal Titan Everett, and waitress Cassidy Jacobs’ story line. FORGED FROM ICE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Cassidy and Titan FORGED FROM ICE follows the search for a serial killer. Cassidy Jacobs is on the run, hiding from her former ex boyfriend, a man the authorities have labelled a serial killer. Cassidy is a witness to one such crime, and US Marshal Titan Everett is hoping to protect our story line heroine suspecting the killer will targeting her next. A cross country journey together brings a killer out of hiding, a killer who is determined to destroy them all. What ensues is the building relationship between Cassidy and Titan, and the potential fall-out as a serial killer takes aim at our story line couple.

The world building focuses on the protection of Cassidy Jacobs. Titan Everett never intended to fall for the woman he has been hired to protect but Cassidy sees beyond the surface, and falls for the man who is struggling with himself. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include FBI Special Agent Oliver Foxx, as well as several locals, and victims of a dangerous killer.

FORGED FROM ICE is a story of power and control, obsession and madness, protection and acceptance, love and understanding. The fast paced premise is character driven and tragic; the romance is spirited and passionate; the characters are determined and wounded.

A good blend of mystery, romance, and drama. Lots of twists lead to the culprit. It was exciting and packed a punch.

Holy moly! I’ve been long exhorting Ms. Eden’s talents as a romantic suspense writer but she went above and beyond with this latest novel in the Ice Breaker Cold Case Series. Again, she has created these diverse, multi-dimensional, well-developed characters that pull you into their lives and their stories and keep you glued to the book well into the night. Of course, this one just might keep you up all night because there’s a serial killer on the lose! Yikes – this was definitely an “edge of your seat” kind of read. U.S. Marshal Titan Samson Everett (yes, he’s big – like really, really big) is one of those silent types but Cassidy gets him. She’s sunshine and goodness even though she’s been through quite a bit of trauma herself. I love these characters as I do all of Ms. Eden’s characters, but there was something really pure and sweet about these two that made my heart hurt with all that they were enduring. I mean, they meet each other during a tornado! Okay, enough – I don’t write reviews about the storyline because I never want to ruin it for the potential reader, so I suggest you obtain this book and read it soon because you don’t want to miss it! These books are all standalones, but I suggest reading them in order to get the most out of them since some of the characters appear in subsequent books. Another over-the-top danger, intrigue, twists and turns, drama –everything I always find in a Cynthia Eden book. Another 5+ star read. I'm very grateful to have been given an opportunity to read and review an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

Forged From Ice by Cynthia Eden is book 6 in the Ice Breaker Cold Case Romance Series. This is the story of Cassidy Jacobs. Cassidy was once a kindergarten teacher loved by everyone. But then she meets Blake Normandy who turns into a dangerous person. Cassidy has to go on the run to keep safe and ends up in the town called Nowhere. There she is working at a bar. the town Deputy is Maverick Thomas who has been asking her out but she lies and says she has a boyfriend. Titan Samson Everett is a U. S Marshall who works with Ice Breakers who looks into cold cases. Titan is looking for Cassidy the only known witness to a crime and he finds her in Nowhere. Exciting reads!

I couldn't put this one down! Titan and Cassidy have chemistry off the charts. There is a ton of suspense and action. The romance is sexy. Just when I thought it couldn't get more intense, the tension went up. This is an excellent addition to what is one of my favorite series by this author.

Cassidy Jacobs has no idea that a US Marshal is after her. She knows that the man she hoped to marry is, but not to marry her, but to kill her. When a tornado blasts through Nowhere, South Dakota, Cassidy takes cover in the storm cellar with US Marshal Titan Samson Everett. He has tracked her across the country as she is a witness to murder. She is needed to draw her ex, who is a serial killer, out so they can stop him. Titan has wanted her from the time he saw her picture. As they race to meet his FBI friend and contact, Oliver Foxx, they are targeted by the killer who always seems to be one step ahead. Titan has lived with his scars and in the dark for so long, while she is everything that is goodness and light. When she steps in to keep him safe and has his back, he knows that even if he should, he can’t let her go. Will they be able to take down the killer before more lives are lost? Forged From Ice has one sweet but so very fierce female lead character that makes this a great read. Part of Cynthia Eden’s Ice Breaker Series she is not an agent, former military, or law enforcement. Instead Cassidy Jacobs is a former kindergarten teacher who had to learn to be cunning so that she could survive a serial killer that is still after her. I wasn’t surprised that she saw U.S. Marshal Titan Everett differently than the rest of the world. She was already the kind of person who treat all with respect and love no matter how they looked. She made this story for me.

Titan lived up to his name, the strong, silent Alpha male that he was. Cassidy saw the real man under the whole scarred tough man vibe. Together they did they went after the elusive psychopath that must be stopped. Action packed with some serious steamy scenes between the two main characters, Forged From Ice is a rip roaring romantic suspense read.

Beauty and the Beast, Eden style....

Titan Samson Everett (in case you didn't get that he was larger than life from one name, Titan Samson needed two names to get across his largess) has his target in sight. Cassidy is the beauty to Titan's scars and size, the sunshine to his grunts and silence and he is SMITTEN first from her photo, then immediately from her in person. Cassidy has the worst luck, ever. The loss of her parents, her serial killer ex boyfriend, the cops who didn't believe her....then meeting Titan in a storm with tornadoes and handcuffs.

So, yeah, Beauty and the Beast with a serial killer coming for Cassidy. She agrees to be bait. The danger is very real as her ex is psychopathic.

I knew Titan would be next after the last book and I was very much looking forward to his story.
I was not disappointed. Titan blew me a away and Cassidy is his perfect match.
Recommend.

I love this series. Thank you, Cynthia, for another great story that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Cassidy Jacobs, former kindergarten teacher is being hunted by her ex-boyfriend who is a serial killer. U.S. Marshal Titan Everett is a member of the Ice Breakers, and he will find Cassidy and catch her ex. There is angst, danger, horror, suspense, pure evil, wonderful friends and fellow Ice Breakers, trying to stay one step ahead and not falling for the girl, some humor and tears and lots of steam to get us to a very HEA. I can't wait for the next book with Oliver and Lark BURIED UNDER ICE.

Cassidy Jacobs has been on the run from her crazy ex. Never staying anywhere for to long.

From what he’d been able to tell, her bubbly personality was just as much a part of Cassidy as her dimples. For her, being friendly was probably as natural as breathing.

There attraction is so hot it will burn up the pages. I love how this author always combines the perfect blend of humor with serious suspense to keep those pages flying.

We get a glimpse of what’s coming next and woo hoo !!

Forged from Ice is the latest book in the Ice Breaker Cold Case series and it is as compelling and bone-chilling as the previous ones. I admit that I just had to peak at the ending before I could settle in and enjoy the rollercoaster-ride! Natural disasters to survive, an evil murderer on their tail, yet the attraction between Cassidy and Titan burns too hot to be denied, so there's quite a bit of heat along with non-stop action. I loved how Titan came out of his shell, how Cassidy proved her strength and resilience time and again and how everything come to an emotional and still heart-pounding HEA.

WOW this is a non stop ride where the tension ratchets up continuously if it was a movie you would be closing your eyes going oh no Instead it is a book that you shut the page on thinking that can't have happened but then you need to open it again to check yes it did happen. Cassidy Jacobs survived the attack from her ex boyfriend and has been running ever since so when a large man entered her work place she ran yet again but this is US Marshall Titan Everett and he needs her help her ex is also a twisted serial killer and she is the one they need to bring him down Can he convince her to help and what happens when he falls for her Will he be able to keep the woman that sees him and not his scars safe.

Amazing!

A beautiful love story wrapped in suspense, intrigue and drama. Two broken souls who heal each other while taking down the bad guy. I couldn't put it down!

Gruesome is a great word to describe the serial killer in this book. I made sure to read it earlier in the day to try to prevent nightmares. Cassidy is living her own nightmare. Titan knows a thing or two about them also. Both are very protective of each other. The love comes through bright and clear.
