Oh my god this book is insane! It is full of twists honestly Im in shock! Extremely addictive and hard to put down, you will literally keep reading non stop till that very last page.
This author sure knows how to write a best seller!
The Day After the Party was a good, twisty thriller!
Katelyn has a party for her 36th birthday and ends up waking up in the hospital not remembering anything from the party! Leah's ex husband sends a weird text message that Katelyn sees when she wakes up.
When she asks her husband what happened at the party he says "Nothing" but Katelyn knows he's not being honest.
The story also jumps between past and present day with Lean and Katelyns friendship.
Overall a good thriller! Easy and quick read! I didn't connect with any of the characters. The book didnt make me feel connected at all -- so 3 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
So much drama! You have secrets, lie, adultery, postpartum depression; it's all there! This book definitely had my heart racing and it was so tense! I absolutely devoured this one.
This book was a good read, however at some points it did not keep my attention and some was predictable I would read another book by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley,Bookouture, and Nicole Trope for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Katelyn wakes up the day after her birthday party in the hospital with amnesia. From the beginning this book was great!!! I felt like wow, I literally can’t put this book down. I finished it so quickly! Some parts really shocked me. I really liked the alternate timelines and the character development of Katelyn and Leah. I just sat there in disbelief of how good the twists were!!!

Silver snowflakes, winter wonderland, secrets unfurling, a trip to the hospital and an unforgettable party! Leah and Katelyn have been the best of friends since they were 6 years old but the day after the party something happens that changes everything.
This was an interesting read! 5/5

Nicole Trope certainly kept me entertained and awake on my transatlantic flight. I could not stop reading and raced through it. Having never heard of TGA, transient global amnesia, I found the concept engaging as well as confusing. The perfect explanation for Katelyn, unable to remember anything about the elaborate party she planned for herself. Each time I decided what had happened that night I was led down a different path with more twists and turns. Katelyn and Leah had the perfect friendship…or did they? I kept putting myself in Katelyn’s shoes asking myself what I would do - who I might trust.
The use of alternate timelines was very effective, giving a clue and then several red herrings which led me astray. Many thanks to Nicole Trope, Bookouture, and NetGalley for affording me the privilege of reading an arc of this recently published book.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC
Katelyn wakes up the day after her birthday party in the hospital with short term amnesia and doesn't remember anything about the night. Her husband and best friend are avoiding her questions. Someone she hasn’t spoken to in a while is apologizing for something she can’t remember. she goes home and her house is trashed from the party, but no one will tell her why.
The story is told from multiple POVs and goes from past to present that leaves you thinking you know what happened, but you don’t.
4.5 ⭐️
Katelyn works hard to plan the perfect thirty-sixth birthday party. But the day after her party, she wakes up in the hospital to find she can’t remember a single thing about her hard-planned bash. But she does know that her best friend, Leah and her husband are keeping something from her. Go back and forth in time as Katelyn unravels the mystery surrounding her memory loss.
I really enjoyed this book! It had quite a few twists and turns I did not anticipate. I definitely stayed up past my bedtime to see how it ended!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Nicole Trope's "The Day After The Party" follows Leah and Katelyn, who have been inseparable since their shared six-year-old exploits, navigating a confusing mystery. When Katelyn wakes up from her 36th birthday celebration with a stunning lack of memories, she is diagnosed with Global Transient Amnesia. The lifelong best friends, who used to share everything, are now estranged as Katelyn uncovers dark facts.
Toby, Katelyn's husband, argues that nothing out of the ordinary happened at her birthday party. Katelyn's instincts, however, warn her otherwise, perceiving a layer of dishonesty. Even her closest friend, Leah, appears to be hiding critical information, heightening Katelyn's suspicions. The primary question remains: What happened that fateful night that caused her memory to fade?
While there is the potential for mystery, my reading experience was marked by a repetitiveness that reduced the overall thrill quotient. The story moves at a reasonable speed, making it an adequate rather than thrilling read. Despite falling short of my expectations, it's likely that others will love the story's complexities of friendship, secrets, and surprising twists.

*****I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
When all your life you feel like you are being compared to your best friend it can change your adult relationships. This is the background for this story. It was a decent read.
Wow. This was amazing! I loved every minute of this. I was in such suspense and I just couldn’t get enough. I read this whole thing in one day. I needed to know everything. I definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!
Content warnings: only 4 curse words in the whole book (thank you!) and no spicy details…slightly more than implied sex but not at all graphic.
Thank you to netgalley for this ARC!!
This is a page-turner that gripped me from the start. Full of dark and twisted secrets, this #psychologicalthriller left me rattled. I highly recommend this intense read by the absolutely amazing #NicoleTrope, a #favoriteauthor of mine!
Thank you, Nicole Trope, Bookouture, & netgalley for my copy! All opinions are my own.
I received a free copy to review from Netgalley, below is the blurb
"The perfect birthday or the perfect nightmare?
Katelyn smiles around at her husband and friends, gathered to celebrate her thirty-sixth birthday in their beautiful home decorated with fairy lights. But the next day Katelyn wakes up shaken and terrified in a hospital bed…
She doesn’t remember the sweet taste of birthday cake icing, or how angry her best friend was at midnight, or the terrible things her husband said. She doesn’t remember the party at all.
When she asks her husband what happened the night of the party he says ‘nothing’. But her blood runs cold at the way his voice lilts slightly. The way it always does when he is lying.
Did someone at the party harm her?
What is her husband hiding?
Or did Katelyn herself do something terrible?
Only one thing is certain. Nobody can be trusted. And if Katelyn’s memories of the party do come back, it will tear them all apart…"
I would definitely file this book in my holiday reads section. It was easy to dip in and out of, didn't hurt my brain or require too much thinking, and quite enjoyable. To be honest I didn't know how I felt about any of the characters in the book, and can't say I warmed to any of them. Usually, you find you feel empathy with at least one character but I just didn't get that with any of them as they all had there faults.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of The Day After the Party by Nicole Trope, published by Bookouture
I loved this novel and I love this author, there are so many more of her books I want to read.
I enjoyed the characters in this book and the twists and turns, the author had me guessing throughout the novel as to who had been with who and how things would turn out.
The novel is narrated by two of the main characters, Katelyn and Leah. Most of the story takes place in the present but there are some flashbacks to the past when the girls were young to give us some history on their relationship as best friends. The present day story is timed around Katelyn's 36th birthday party, and the events that take place over the next few days
I really enjoyed reading this novel, it's one that I didn't want to put down. The interactions between the characters kept me intrigued throughout. Well written, well done!
Drama and suspense, secrets and lies. A great storyline with a satisfying ending.
Thank You NetGalley, Bookouture, and Nicole Trope for sending me this ARC.
Available now!!!!
Man the last hour or so had my heart pounding!!! Very addictive and I couldn’t put it down!
Katelyn and Leah have been best friends since they were six and now they are getting ready for Katelyns 36th birthday. Only Kate finds herself in the hospital not being able to recall the party at ALL!! And Leah isn’t at the hospital by her side. What has happened to make her lose her memory and maybe her lifelong friend as well. Let me tell you it won’t be what you think!! No spoilers but I loved this story and it truly was fast paced for me!! Already looking into the authors other books to see which ones I can get my hands on!
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for my electronic advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I wasn't able to get to the end unfortunately - I found the book really fizzled out for me which is not usual for me!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC of this novel. I have enjoyed all of Nicole Trope’s books I have read so far and this one is no different. This is a story of jealousy and revenge told with suspense and drama. I totally think the end result was on purpose 😝 Katelyn is no dummy.
A dark, twisty, emotionally charged psychological thriller that had me sucked in, even if at times I felt I was predicting what happened next.
This is only the 2nd book I have read by this author and whilst I really enjoyed it I must admit it wasn't quite as good as the first I read - The Step Child.
This was a light, easy to read book that didn't use too much concentration to keep to the plot which was a win for me, sometimes you need a book that doesn't have you rereading parts to remember what's going on!
I loved the way the story jumped straight in from the very beginning, no ,major dragged out build up which grabbed my attention immediately.
I can't say I particularly liked the characters, I found them quite immature and two dimensional, especially the male characters.
Thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.
