As always, the author delivers an amazing tale, full of magic, banter and romance.
The book can be read as a standalone but it will be even more enjoyable if you read the previous books in the series.

Firstly, I don't think you NEEEED to have read the Kingdom of the Wicked series, the focus there is on Wrath. It adds a little something something if you have though... enter Envy! This book is fuelled by jealousy and deceit served on a platter of tension, let me tell you!
If you think Envy is on his game, when Camilla walks in he's not! She is one force not to be reckoned with and she matches him and wipes the arrogance from his mouth! Loved her! Loved them together! Would you go head to head with Envy? Cause your girl trumps this!
I feel like Maniscalo is coming into her Romantasy era and she's strutting in with those stilettos on branding a whip... I was whipped!

Hmmmmmm, I don't know what I think about this book. I love Kerri, I really enjoyed her SJTR series, but not her KOTW series. I really tried to enjoy that but it's so slow-paced, and the unnecessary spice just really turned me off (not my preference, I guess). I was doubtful when I read this since it's from the same world in KOTW, and centered on one of the princes, Envy.
The tension and suspense was already there, but I think I got hooked in the middle part of the book. I think it's much better than KOTW, to be honest. I think I liked the plot more than I liked the plot of KOTW. I wouldn't say I don't like this book but it's not like I didn't enjoy it either.
Thank you Hodder & Stoughton for the ARC and Netgalley!
PS. I know it's late, and more than 2 years have passed already but I just forgot to write a review and I got sidetracked with my thesis. Still thank you, though!

So I’ll admit I did not realise this was a 67 page sample :D There was no way that I was going to stop at just this snippet of the first few chapters so I grabbed the book immediately but I have to say Kerri Maniscalco continues to write delicious chemistry and slow burn better than most authors out there.
I adore the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy but I actually found myself enjoying this book even more. Camilla is likeable, she’s kind but unrelenting and won’t be pushed around by our Prince or made smaller. Envy is a multi-layered character that you witness unravel throughout the story beyond the shields he has built around him – normally I would find the concept a little cliché at this point but it’s a testament to how good a writer Maniscalco is that I was obsessed with this. While this is a one off, this is still set in the same world and I hope and pray we get to experience more in the book/s to come. Romance and tension aside, this book has great action and pacing and the writing style just pulls you under, it’s so easy and enjoyable to read.

After reading the Kingdom of the Cursed series by this author, I was so excited to read this book set in the same world and focusing on some of the most intriguing characters from the series!
The Prince of Envy is a morally grey male lead and the female protagonist is incredible as well. There's such a beautiful chemistry between the two, witty banter and this makes for some super spicy scenes.
I can't wait to pick up the next books in this new series to see how the author develops the character of Envy further!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I read the series and I did find this stand alone a good addition to the series. It was well rounded and interesting. The writing is great as usual. I wish we could have a sneaky second series but I’ll be happy with these stand alones too.

I didn't realise this was a sample. But I was fully pulled into the story and definitely want more! I have loved all of Keri's other books and I have no doubt I'll love this!

This was an amazing teaser in to the full book, and since finishing, I can confidently say that I had the best time with Camilla and Envy. There was so much angst and so much romance, so much yearning and pining. And I loved the twisted tales and riddles and games that came with it. I loved seeing the rest of the princes too and now I will eagerly wait the rest of the series!

This is a sequel of the kingdom of the wicked trilogy, and let me tell you that throne of the fallen is even better; so if you liked the trilogy you will literally fall in love with this one.
I can’t wait for Maniscalco to explore all the other princes of hell, after this book my expectations are very high.
Would totally recommend!

Thank you, Netgalley & the publishers for this ARC!
I was so excited to go back to the world of the wicked and to learn more about the world & the other brothers. Sadly, however, I didn't enjoy this as much as the series. I know you can't expect as much from a standalone as you can from a series, but with almost 600 pages I had still hoped for tension & a slow burn, or at least pages for the relationship to grow. This wasn't the case though. The main romance focused more around the smut and because of that I didn't really connect with the main characters.
The strength of this book was the banter between the brothers!
I'm pleased the next book will be shorter, and I'm hopeful that the pacing of the romance is better!
Thank you again for the chance to read this ARC!

Kerri Maniscalco is one of my favourite authors and this definitely did not disappoint. Thrilled to be back in this world and bought the full book as soon as it was released as I couldn’t wait to carry on reading.

They send me the first 67 pages and was amazing, I really enjoy this chapters.
I think Kerri Maniscalco have the best writing ever.
I buy immediately the book on amazon so, now I need to read the book asap.

Kerri Maniscalco is fast becoming one of my favourite authors, she never misses! This was an incredible ride of a story that kept me reading way later than I should. I bought a copy as soon as I could so I could have it pride of place on my bookshelf!

This left me really intrigued to go and buy the book - and I did! I love the aspect of the game, but that not too much is given away which makes you want to read on to find out what’s going to happen. I didn’t think I’d be interested in reading about the other sins in this series, but I’ve been proven wrong by this.

Amazing! I absolutely loved reading this small snippet. I can’t wait to get my hands on the whole book. This author does not disappoint with her books.

I’m already addicted. And I’m very excited to finish reading this one. I didn’t realise this was only a snippet, kinda glad I waited to read it now!

I was so excited when I received this snippet of this book! this is one of my favourite fantasy series ever and this teaser did not disappoint, I am so excited to get my hands on a copy of this book to continue the journey!

I enjoyed this sampler so much! It was quite short though, so I can't wait to pick up the finished book. But the beginning of this story is very promising and exciting, too!

This is a small extract and it made me want to read it even more than before. I’m excited to know the characters

I'm so happy to be back in this world. Throne of the Fallen is such a step up from the Kingdom of the Wicked series. I absolutely loved how fiesty Camilla was, and watching Envy fall for her was a delight. The expansion of the world building was dark and tense in all the right places, and while there were a few things that I wasn't a fan of, overall I thought it was a solid addition to this world.
