What a great read! This story was full of suspense & twists which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through!
This story is told from the viewpoint of an abused wife and mother who is trying to save herself and her son. This book was intense and made me feel so many emotions. This book is narrarated by Delilah and is told in first person, which only heightens the emotions as a reader because we were in Delilah’s head. This book is a beautifully heartbreaking story of how things are not always as they seem on the surface. My heart bled for Delilah, and I found myself rooting for her. I found myself so invested in the plot and the characters. I devoured this in one sitting.
There were great twists and turns throughout the book, and Gallion did well weaving a very emotional yet suspenseful plot together. The characters were well developed, and I felt I knew Delilah by the end of the story. I loved and felt for Delilah, while my hatred for Chase deepened as the story developed. This one is excellent!
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this amazing ARC in exchange for my honest review.
4.5 solid syars.
Damn good read. Totally believable. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book
An interesting narrative that explores the complexities of family dynamics and the lengths a mother would go to protect her child. Angie Gallion is a good storyteller and she has brought to life in her book our heroine, Delilah’s world filled with secrets and fear.
Overall, “Hush, Delilah” is an enjoyable thriller that offers a chilling glimpse into the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface of a seemingly perfect life.
My thanks to Netgalley.com for providing me a copy of the book for my unbiased review.
Utterly compelling and suspenseful. Looking forward to reading other material by this author.. A complete mind game of a novel. Would highly recommend.
I read this book in a matter of days! While the storyline was slightly predictable at times (only because art mimics life, unfortunately, in this story) it was generally engaging throughout and I kept on reading to see what would happen next. What did happen next was not always what it seemed and there were enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. If reading for entertainment purposes, and for a few good general life lessons, this book is a keeper!
This is a book about domestic abuse and how the victim has to find strength to fight back. It is twisty and gripping- a good book overall.
This book had me on pins and needles. It has that waiting on the other shoe to drop feel with truly surprising twists. The conclusion brings it home and some how leaves you wanting more.
Thanks to Red Adept Publishing, Angie Gallion and NetGalley for a copy of this e-book in exchange for my honest review.
Hush, Delilah was one of those quick, easy reads that pulls you in from the get-go. Delilah Stone is the epitome of strength in terrifying situations. In this novel, we get to witness her journey from a beaten down (literally and emotionally) Mom and housewife who didn't know how capable and valuable she was to a strong woman who does what she needs to do to ensure she and her son get the life they deserve.
I would have liked to see more character development, however, I feel like I got enough to be invested in the ending/outcome for each character. If ever a sequel to this novel comes to be, a storyline based in Jackson's adulthood would be awesome - I'm curious if he was able to escape his father's violent tendencies. I was also left wondering how the relationship between him and Delilah evolved once they were reunited.
When your only complaint is wanting more once the story ends, you know you've found a gem. This is the first novel I've read by Gallion, but it won't be the last.
This was a very fast read with a lot of emotion. College infatuation turns to unexpected pregnancy and a loveless, violent marriage. Delilah draws you into her world where she starts as a battered wife but transforms into a force to reckoned with by taking control of her life and righting wrongs. She believes her husband might be involved in the death of an old classmate because of his tendency for violence and comments he’s made to her over the years. As she explores this possibility, more danger strikes. I really enjoyed everything about this novel. Gallion explores complex topics while expertly growing Delilah as a character. Her voice becomes more and more pronounced as we learn more about that night and the lies uncovered. There are a lot of surprises that happen in this novel. I found myself rooting for Delilah right up to the last page! I look forward to reading more from Angie Gallion!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
On the surface, Delilah Reddick’s life looks perfect. Her husband is a pillar of the community, and with her as his quietly supportive wife, they appear to be the picture of success and happiness. But there are deep cracks in the foundation, dark secrets Delilah has never shared with anyone. Delilah knows what her husband is capable of when the evil inside him finds its way to the surface, but running would only delay the inevitable.
Terrifying and suspenseful. Will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Hush, Delilah

Domestic violence and how it plays out. I read the book in a day, I enjoyed this one all except the last page. It just ended and it was how the hell after all this time she gets a call. But it was a great until then,
I read this book in 4 days. I was brought in on page 1 and had a hard time putting it down. I really enjoyed the story and didn't want it to end. I am left asking what happened with the trial, what happened to Jackson, how does Delilah move on?
This story started off with a bang! From the first word it will have you hooked.
This story is a sad tale of mental and physical abuse and how there is usually and reason why women do t leave their abusers.
Delila seems weak but has a fire under her that won’t allow her to stop. Many obstacles are in her way but she will finally do what needs to be done and be free.
