I have exactly nothing to say about this book. No thoughts, head empty. It was neither bad nor good, just extremely weird. 2.5 stars

This was such a fun and fast paced read. The story is full of action, banter, and humour. I really enjoyed the character dynamics and found myself reading most of this with a giant smile on my face. I will definitely be continuing this series as it is released and likely checking out more from this author!
Thank you Net Galley for the eARC in exchange for this honest review!
A fun sexy romp for Christmas. Unfortunately not one of my favourites from Katie Reus. Though I loved the set up and both characters, I wasn't really buying Theo's reasons for being a hitman. Other than that it hit all the usual action, adventure and romance notes.
Lovely little Christmas romance read. The plot and characters are perfect for a relaxing evening at home reading without having to delve too deep into specifics. Loved the banter and the wit and can't wait to see more!
Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this opportunity!
Another grumpy x sunshine novel for the win! Holiday romance gone wrong but in the best of ways. I looved their chemistry.
This was a blast.
If you’re looking for a good Smutmas read you should definitely pick this book up. It was a really quick read.
Elli our FMC who is a bada** explosives expert has been voyeuristicly been keeping tabs on her neighbor for months finally gets the nerve to approach him in person. She goes to his house to give a Christmas present and he opens the door in all his shirtless green sweatpants wearing glory. When she hears a noise behind him she walks in to see his latest hit bound and bloody.
From there the story starts rolling. Found family and handcuffs aplenty.
I was so excited for this one especially because I love novellas that are not drawn out for the sake of having extra pages. However I think this book needed those extra pages. The insta lust was so unbelievable for me, especially on his end. I would’ve liked it more if they had said they had just started dating or something rather than had a weird stalking each other through the window relationship. I don’t know. It just didn’t work for me.
This was funny, exciting, and steamy. A perfect Christmas romance novella for those who love morally grey heroes. This story is hilarious and the characters are unique and witty. Highly recommended!
I smiled all the way through this book! What better way to enjoy the Holiday season then read a book that makes you smile, and even laugh, in places. When the guy next door turns out to be the local assassin and he’s hotter then hades, well what’s a girl to do, but look and drool! But when you wake up handcuffed to him, well let the games begin!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I didn't love How the Hitman Stole Christmas. It was cheesy, in a bad way. The relationship between the FMC and MMC felt forced and over the top. The hitman piece of the story just didn't feel fully developed. It felt like it was trying to be something better but never got off the ground.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Love this lighthearted suspense romance! How the Hitman Stole Christmas is a steamy and hilarious - loved the banter between Elliana and Theo as well as their inner dialogue. Another great read by Katie Reus!

💭 Wow what an outstanding read that I read in about 4 hrs! 🤯🤩 It held my attention from the beginning and I absolutely LOVED everything about it as well!! It was my first book by this author but won’t be the last as I love how she writes romance stories. Loved how she had a success woman and a hitman fall in love & perfectly wrote the storyline that hooks you from the first page! I’d definitely say it’s kinky but in such a great way! I hope she comes out with a second book in the series ASAP!! 💭
This was delighful and fun. A quick read with a great plot!
The hitman, aka Theo, was just doing his job when his less than cheerful neighbor knocked on his door and caught him in the act. Now he has to kidnap her to keep her safe.
Elliana, the neighbor, is a specialist in explosives and knows how to defend herself, but that doesn't mean she will make it very hard on her hitman.
With 150 pages, the author manages to give personality to all the characters, make the story very light and easy to read, and make a great holiday novella.
This was a cute holiday story! Elliana is a strong woman who is having a huge problem with her neighbor. Her neighbor, Theo, is what every woman dreams of. He is handsome beyond measure, a bit strange, and loves how Elliana is nosy. Elliana was just trying to be neighborly and give a Christmas gift to her neighbor Theo, but things turned weird really fast. Elliana has a choice to make that will drastically alter her life. Theo is all for it and more than ready to take on winning Elliana. Will they both be able to deal with a few issues and still share how they really feel? I was given a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Read it! Loved it! Totally my kind of hero and heroine. I definitely want to read more about the other Hitmen. Theo was perfect! A total chef's kiss and Elliana is his perfect counterpart. There were soooooo many laugh out loud moments, from the voyeuristic, stalkerish tendency from both of them to each other, to his parents, to her dislike of Christmas, to his constant need to be with her, Theo knew she was the one! I laughed so much! This is one of Ms. Reus's best books yet, and I've read practically all of them. I love this one. 5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

1st of all thank you to Netgalley and Katie Reus for this ARC in exchange of an honeste review.
I'm going to start saying that this novella was a cute treat to get out a book slump.
The story it's so short and everything it's happening so fast that you can barelly catch a break.
Elliana and Theo are such a funny couple, she's been spying on him for almost year and he lets her even doing strip shows for her 🤭.
Something happend and her life gets messy when someone it's trying to koll her and that how she discovers that he's a hitman and that he would do anything to protect her even kidnap her.
Overall it was a cute and funny story, they serve the vibes of grumpy girl and sunshine boy, they have references to Christmas and thats make the story a lot cutter.
This was an entertaining novella. It is in 3rd person though which is something I do struggle with. All in though it was a cute Christmas story.

This was so much fun!
I thought it was going to be a lot darker, but no! It was perfectly balanced.
I liked both mcs, although the hero was a bit too much at times, but overall, it was a super fun read.

4 stars maybe 4 1/2
This book was just great! I was laughing, I was swooning, I was rooting for them the whole time. Story started off with a bang and the voyeurism and it was hot. Kept getting hotter from there.
I'm not so much a fan of Instalove, but Theo is amazing. Helped that for some reason I had Henry Cavill in my mind the whole time.
The writing was on point and the spice was mmm. Elliana being an explosives expert and ex-Marine was just so badass and sexy that she truly was the perfect person for Theo.
The fact that she didn't call the cops on him and he took that as his window to ask her out had me laughing to where my husband looked at me like I had lost my mind.
The book is chalk full of amazing one-liners and quotes that I have so many notes highlighted.
Thank you Netgalley for the Advanced E-Copy. I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
