I was drawn to this book by the premise and I love the gorgeous cover too! I really enjoyed this book although it didn’t go how I expected it to at all but that made me enjoy it all the more.

I liked Gemma she was so indecisive in what she actually wanted and this made me laugh a number of times. One of my other favourite characters was Pete he was hilarious, the way he spoke was so random. 🤣

Gemma is set on meeting ‘The One’ and she has a complicated path she follows to get there with lots of mishaps and laughs along the way.

This is definitely a book I’d recommend to those who love a romance with a different spin to it. I’ll certainly look out for more books by this author.

Thank you to Cranthorpe Milner for having me on the tour and for my gifted copy of the book.

I loved the concept of this book, and there were aspects of the plot I really enjoyed, which is what kept me reading.

Reviewing (and rating) it is difficult, because I found it quite uneven. There were sections where I was completely drawn in and would have given it a five, but also certain scenes that I thought were extraneous (and even, sometimes a bit annoying) that would have received a two on their own. Part of the issue might be that those scenes didn't strike my funny bone. Humour is notoriously hard to write, and it's possible other readers will find those parts hilarious.

Overall, I'd recommend A World With You to people who enjoy alternate timeline/parallel reality stories, but with the caveat that they may find themselves skimming parts of it to get to the "good stuff."

The author wrote a compelling and unique story that will grab your attention from the beginning. This book surprised me at every turn and the author has an ear for dialogue.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This story starts off with main character Jemma on a date with a Paulo, man she has been seeing for awhile. While lacking in self confidence she is also narcissistic and shows a complete lack of self awareness. Her boyfriend breaks up with her and she has a pity party for herself, never once thinking of how she could be the problem. Then one day she sees her boyfriend across the road and gets hit by a bus. What follows is a weirdly described death experience-with a cranky heaven Hr manager named Marge.(??) The dialogue between the characters is very “Hitchhiker’s guide”. I believe that parts were supposed to be funny but for me they just came off as weird. When she returns to life she meets Josh, a ghost, who has no memory of his previous life other than he was a Dr.. They become star crossed lovers.
Others might really enjoy the concepts explored, but this wasn’t my cup of tea . At the 30% mark I didn’t care for any of the characters, so this book was a DNF for me. Giving a 2 star because the writing was quite clear and easy to follow.

Thank you Netgalley and Cranthorpe Millner Publishers for this ARC!

A world without you had a unique storyline! I have never read a book similar to it.

It had a happy ending that left me feeling good - I was rooting for Gemma and Josh through the whole book! They had a ton of obstacles to overcome😅😅

Overall this was a 3 star read for me!
