I have loved the Bright Falls series so much and I'm sad it's over - Iris'story was a fantastic addition. I've enjoyed all of these books almost equally and find that is so rare!
Iris has sworn off relationships - because of course she has. Everyone else is coupled up and for the reader of the full series it's really sweet to get glimpses into our favourite wlw couples being together long term but you also do understand this must be frustrating for Iris.
Stevie is a talented actor, she has just been through a tough break up and over the course of the book I grew to really, really dislike her ex. She has Generalised Anxiety Disorder - so do I and this was such a brilliant and true to life depiction of it - Stevie is brave, strong and always very close to overwhelming anxiety. It takes a lot to constantly fight that and this book shows that very well.
They fake date - naturally. Its great, the tension and the changing feelings were brilliant. These two really bring out the best in each other.
I could have done without the 3rd act break up but the author plays with this well, having Iris talk about how much sue enjoys writing them into her own romance novels. It's sweet and it works well.
LOVED the epilogue, it rounds off the whole seres so nicely.

I literally sobbed on the treadmill this morning during their third act because I was so invested in Iris and Stevie. My heart. This book is full of sunshine, romance, heartache, long looks, witty bants and so much love it'll make your heart explode.

Wow what a way to end this series. Having enjoyed the other two in this series I was really looking forward to this one and was blown away by how much I adored this, my favourite of the series for sure! Iris and Stevie were two characters who I rooted for, was frustrated by and wanted the best for 💕 If you love Fake dating, found family and queer excellence this is one for you 🩵

I do love this series and it was nice to see appearances from the other characters. This was a quick and compelling read but unfortunately this was not my favourite, I didn’t love this story like I did the other two. To me Iris came across as a bit insufferable and I found her parents to be unbearable. I liked Stevie and the anxiety rep was done well which I empathised with because of similar experiences. But she was clearly still hung up on her ex, I also didn’t like her friend group and the way they acted throughout a lot of the book. The third act break up felt a little predictable and quite similar to the previous two. A lot of the elements from previous books that I loved just didn’t work for me here and it just fell a but flat for me. That being said it isn’t a bad book it was still entertaining at times but Delilahs book remains my favorite.

would like to thank netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this book....
iris kelly is writing a book but her love life is all over the place and her family arent helping setting her up on blind dates, trying to help her find the one....
stevie is a mess, she has anxiety disorders and cant control what happens when she gets stressed
so a planned night out to have a one night stand was always doomed from the beginning
stevie and iris meet and hook up but the night didnt go as planned for them both
stevie is cast in Shakespearian play to help save a theatre but what nobody counted on was iris turning up for auditions ..... all stevies friends thought they had hooked up and stevie went with the lie, thinking how easily she could fool her friends into thinking it was on and then a break up...that all went out the window when stevie saw iris on the stage
what a comedy of errors and it was so funny in places and poignant in others, this author is well worth a go and i will be interested in keeping up with the characters in this book or anything that comes out

Iris kelly doesn't date is easily my favourite book in the trilogy and my favourite book I have read all year.
The small town vibe was really highlighted and felt extra cosy in this book, with all of the small little dates that Stevie and Iris went on, and the community they developed through the theater production they both worked on throughout the story. The diversity within that community was really refreshing to see, and there was a huge spectrum of identities that aren't very commonly explained or mentioned, especially with asexuality. The representation for them was well handled and explained, and supports exactly why this book was so refreshing.
Another example of really positive representation, was Stevie's generalised anxiety disorder. It was painfully honest to read, and I really admired the message that Stevie wanted to be seen for more than her anxiety, in the same way Iris wanted to be seen and loved for more than her body. There were a few really honest and raw moments where they touched on their struggles with relationships, and their mental health, that really overwhelmed me, and showed incredible character development for both of them.
The lighthearted tone from the previous books was still there and gave the book so much charm, making it impossible to put down, coupled with the appearances of previous characters, it was a really good way to wrap up the series, and give everyone their well deserved story and conclusion.
