Recommended for fans of medical and contemporary romance.
This book was a short but sweet read, it was festive and easy to follow. It’s filled with a slow burn romance which keeps you on your toes. The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts and the relationship between the male main character and his child was really heart warming. I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmassy read and will definitely be re-reading in December time🎄.
My favourite sentence in this book was “The innate trust that came from genuine caring, and the knowledge that the other person would try to understand and do what was best, even at their own expense?” 🤍
I really enjoyed this book, it was a lovely Christmas romance and I would highly recommend this book.
I would like to thank NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book.
This book tells the story of Ailani and Javi. Javi is a single dad who is quite introverted so takes a while to relaise his feeling and to act on them, Ailani is experiencing her first christmas in Boston, looking for a winter snow filled adventure. Add in that Javi is her new boss makes this an enjoyable festive read. Whilst it may be a little slow in places it is an enjoyable read.
This was a cute quick read mills and boon. I love a medical romance and a Christmas one is even better. Lovely , sweet and a fluffy read. Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review
the perfect cosy romance read 🤍 follows Ailani from Hawaii as she works temporarily in a Boston hospital as a paediatric nurse. She falls in love with Javi (whose daughter Mabel is the cutest character ever) who is her boss. This book was a slow-burn romance that builds up to a beautiful ending with great LGBTQ+ representation and wonderful writing. Definitely recommend for a cute easy cosy read this coming winter.
A slow first half of discovery, new job and friendship, followed by a half focused on a relationship, love and family. Both halves of the book worked well Ailani is fun, kind and appreciated and concentrating on her life works, Javi is quieter with a gorgeous little girl who adds so much. An exploration of sexuality is sensitively done and this was a gentle and lovely read.
A lovely Christmas romance - enjoyed it very much.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me an early look at this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received a ARC from NetGalley and Mils and Boon in exchange for a honest review.
Sadly, I found this book rather boring and pedestrian. If there hadn’t been the additional plot element about Java’s sexuality, there would have been nothing of interest in the relationship arc at all. There was no realistic tension or conflict. I felt the issues were manipulated rather than real.
This was so sweet and saccharine as to risk sugar overload.
Two people meet and are attracted. But, they can’t go further because they know thee is no future and it’s too risky.. wtf!
If people stopped themselves from getting involved with another person - without having firm guarantees it would lead somewhere - the human race would have died out. I felt this book was a cynical tickbox of ‘issues tackled’ rather than a satisfying, emotionally authentic romance. Very disappointed - especially as I have really enjoyed books by this author.
I absolutely adored this sweet medical romance Christmas novel. It had everything that I wanted in a festive novel and more.
The story line was easy to follow and the two main characters chemistry was sweet and slow burn. I kept rooting for them to get together. A brilliant novel that's perfect for curling up with on a cold day with a hot chocolate. I definitely recommend it.
💖 Thank you to netgalley, Mills and Boon and the author, Ann McIntosh for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
