I knew absolutely nothing about Jürgen Klopp, so literally every bit of information I just read was all new to me.
All explained in very simple and easy to understand terms, which I am sure any young football fan will love
It's no secret I got sucked into football by the 2010 World Cup. Great World Cup. Very attractive players. Was very into France and Spain.
Not much of a seasonal watcher, but 2012 EURO sucked me in, too. This time, we dropped France, kept Spain, and added Germany. I don't know why I said we. It was I. Or is it the royal we? Who knows? I suppose I should know.
Anyway, Germany has some hot players. And coaches. Jürgen is definitely one of them. I'm clearly not a great fan, as evidenced as everything previously, but his name looked familiar when I requested this book. Well, it's a Read Now on NetGalley, so anyone can read this series, but you know what I mean.
Is this a review? Are any of my reviews reviews? I'm very caffeinated right now. Anyway, I know this series is meant for kids, but I'm basically a thirty something kid, and the stories and illustrations nearly always amuse me. Not Charles'. But basically everyone else's. Don't come for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.
I absolutely love this book! My kids were soccer players, now my granddaughter has started playing. This is going to be such a fun book to read with her. I learned a lot about Jurgen from this book. But even more important, this book has wonderful lessons about leadership and being a team a player, whether you're referring to sports or life in general.
A much better and relevant addition to the Little People Big Dreams series. I'm not a football fan but still knew who he was and was into find out more about him.. A great book for any aspiring footballers or managers.
This is an outstanding biography series geared for young children. After watching Ted Lasso on AppleTV, I was interested in learning more about a football coach. Of course, in the United States, we call it soccer. It’s good to read about another country’s sports and this inspiring German coach.
A inspirational story of sticking with what you want even when it doesn’t go your way. Klopp has been an inspiration to football fans around the world and always cares about doing the right thing. From charitable endeavours to team building, reading Klopp’s story is inspiring. This book isn’t just for Liverpool fans, it’s for anyone with a dream who’ll stop at nothing until they achieve it- even if they sacrifice some of that dream along the way.
Essential reading for little Liverpool fans!
There's lots of love for LFC players, but I love this unique look at head coach Jurgen Klopp. He's my favourite LFC coach to date and always acts with integrity. I love that this book uses the same language you'd hear on UK TV such as football and saked. The real-life photos of Klopp at the end of the book are a fun bonus, although I wish there was one of him as a child.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto for this advanced reader copy.
I love this series of books! This one is especially inspiring for kids because it shows them that not everyone can be good at everything, but we are all meant for something! And some are meant to coach. Perfect inspiration for young kids
I am german, so when I stumbled upon a children’s book about one of my favorite soccer managers since childhood, I got not only curious but excited. Jürgen Klopp has always been a very inspiring figure in the german, now international soccer world, and that is wonderfully reflected in this book! It is a little glimpse into his life, how he grew up to become the man he is today, and I feel like reading this to your children could open up wonderful discussions about what finding your passion and success can look like. The drawings are a beautiful addition to the story.
I feel like this won’t be the last „Little People, Big Dreams“ book I‘ll read in my lifetime!

As a huge fan of the Liverpool Football Club and of the "Little People, Big Dreams" books, I was very excited to read this book with my family. This is a great biographical story about Jürgen Klopp that is easy for children to understand. Klopp's inspiring story is interesting and informative for children and adults alike. The illustrations are fun and unique, and I enjoyed the extra facts about the great football manager at the end of the book, which included a biographical timeline, photos, and a detailed profile. There were also some additional resources on the last page if you want to learn more. We will definitely be buying a finished copy when this book is published!
