I liked that this was not the typical love story, this was a deeper one, more sentimental, you can identify with the characters, I think it's not for everyone but I really liked it.
A really good book that has a lot of emotions with the two lead characters. Both have had things happen to them in the past which has led them to the moment where Ella sees Grant on his motorcycle crashing and then she calls 9-1-1, and she begins to help him until the ambulance arrives. Later she arrives at the hospital to check on him and he is happy but surprised to see her, but from there their connection grows to where he moves in so she can help him recover. More is revealed to each of them as they go along yet Grant because of his past still feels like leaving which adds to this story. So much emotion because when he does leave something happens to her. A really good book where I always felt like Grant needed to grow up and deal with his past and stay. See what happens when you read this book. Wonderful characters and a wonderful story very much worth the read.
This book. It had me in all the feels. It is extremely emotional and I shed quite a few tears but god was out worth it. Gabriella and Grants story is so beautiful. They are both broken souls in different ways both going through majorly traumatic experiences in their lifetimes. Although vastly different and they have both come out of them with completely different views on their lives, they have this intrinsic understanding of each other. They are completely comfortable and perfect for each other right from that first eye contact. Grants story is so tragic and hard to read but so is Ellas…. Just two completely different scenarios. Although our two mains encompass all the attention in this book the secondary characters are really likeable as well. Family is so precious to this story and I just love it.
My first book by Nikki Lamer’s but I’m hooked.
I'm sure this will be a great book for someone else, but the writing kept me from even finishing this book. I couldn't get into the story, and I skimmed most of it to try to make some general opinion of the book, but I'd rather not judge to harshly since -again- I'm sure someone else would enjoy something like this. It's just not for me.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for the eARC:)
Grant and Ellla's story isn't your typical love story. Grant got into a horrible motorcycle accident that Ella, his angel, witnessed and helped get him through. Grant was abused physically and emotionally as a teenager by an older married woman and that alone makes this story so different from your usual where the woman is the "victim" (I like to call them survivors instead).
I felt like there was a lot of internal dialogue verses having more scenes and interactions with the other characters and a little too much use of exclamation points but it was a good story line.
Thank you Nikki A. Lamers, Atmosphere Press, and Netgalley for this ARC.
This ended up being a lot heavier that I was expecting, in a good way. Both main characters had depth as well as their relationship. I never really felt like I knew what was going to happen next and I enjoyed that.
Thank you to Nikki A. Lamers, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me a copy of this book.

I thoroughly enjoy reading this book. This book is great if you also enjoy small town romances, motorbikes and fmc taking care of mmc. I love the plot and the whirlwind of emotions.
What a rollercoaster of emotions. This wasn't what I expected, it was much more than I expected! Just the right amount of spice!

*I received an E-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review* - Thank you @nikkialamersauthor, @atmospherepress and @netgalley!
Breaking Cycles by Nikki A Lamers starts one way in the first pages and then takes a completely different turn by the next few pages. This one kept me on my toes! There is no shortage of drama and events in this story, which keeps you invested and wanting to read more.
One thing I loved about Breaking Cycles is how Nikki challenged myths and stereotypes surrounding sexual violence. I can’t go too far into this without spoilers but I wanted to point it out and say that I appreciated it. That said, I feel like that part of the storyline was addressed a little too fast, it felt a little rushed.
Overall, I enjoyed Breaking Cycles and I would this book to anyone who is interesting in romances with deeper topics and spice!
Breaking Cycles is now published so read it today! 🎉

Really good read. Slow in some parts but enjoyed it.
Lady witnesses an accident and in turn takes home the injured man and they fall for each other. Feels like he is running from a lot of things but in the end is just one major thing. Would be good to have a carry on of the story
Great sexy, but also emotionally deep, romance!
Going in to this, based on the description, it was easy to see that this would be a steamy one. I wasn't really expecting the depth of character and emotion, however, and it was a pleasant surprise. I tend to enjoy romances that give you a good gut-punch of emotion, and this did just that. Definitely worth the read!
Wow! Such a good story.
I didn’t expect this story to be this deep, just really having it pieces of love, supporting family, stupid ex, and a plot.
When you go into it, it will take you on a great journey and you wouldn’t be able to stop.
:)
Thanks to NetGallery and the author for giving me this arc.
A storm, a motorcycle and two broken people make a steamy quick read! Easy to read and will transport you to the salty ocean air.
GRANTTTTT YOUNG. Omg if he isn't the most attractive MMC I've ever read.
This book was absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed the banter between Grant and Ella. Watching Grant and Ella navigate through their relationship with two completely different minds and two other end goals is entertaining,
I loved the writing style Nikki used to tell the story it was engaging and made me feel a part of their world.
Will Grant ease up and let the love flow? Will Ella be patient? All questions I asked myself while reading. It was an interactive experience from start to finish. I also love how persistent Ella was and how dedicated she was to being in Grant's world.
5/5 it was a great read.
A slow burn motorcycle romance without out the grit of the traditional MC romance series. Two damaged characters, one overprotective family and determination. It's a great weekend read!
