WOW!!! What a book!

This is so twisted and messed up that it is impossible to put down. Loved every moment of reading it....

2.5 - Absolutely bonkers, the first half was so fast paced I read it in a evening but then it took an abrupt different direction and the ending was unrealistic. Also the *spoiler* TW Incest *spoiler* was not fun, I hate this being included in books more than anything.

I did enjoy the book but it was a bit far fetched I’m sure you wouldn’t get away with it in real life. It starts with Elena and Adam looking after Adam’s aunt house while she is away it’s very plush not like their house they normally live it. Then they meet a wealthy couple Sophie and Finn and their life is filled with secrets and lies which rocks their lives.

Thanks to netgalley for providing this advanced copy for the purpose of review.

This was a gripping psychological read. It definitely had an intriguing storyline and I was curious to see where it was headed. I felt the ending petered out a little but overall it was a gast paced read.

I really enjoyed this thriller and quickly became invested in what direction the author planned to take the characters. You quickly feel sorry for the innocent parties but all is not what it seems, who is innocent?

The plot had me thinking about my own situation and if my partner would be fooled in the same situation, he says not.............? I hope not!!!

I thought at times it was a predictable read but a few twists helped dispell that. The further into the plot you get the more you question if it could actually be pulled off, I doubt it it but it did help me understand why there is a limit on how many switches take place.

The ending for me was a bit swift and again predictable. I devoured this book in two days and would definitely recommend this. There is definitely an excitement and thrill to the plot that keeps you wanting more, wanting to know if someone will find out.

I cannot believe that this is Lily’s debut novel- it is exactly as described on the cover- dark, sexy and thrilling and I could not put it down!! It is set in Wimbledon and I loved reading about all the locations but what really drew me in was the characters. Each of them individually are complex, interesting and intense and when put together they make the story enthralling!! Every time I thought I had the ending sussed there was another chapter to spin the whole tale and the twists continue until the last sentence!

The Switch by Lily Samson.
Elena and Adam move into a house in London to house sit for Adam’s Aunt.
When they meet another couple Sophie and Finn, things become complicated.
Sophie hatches a plan for them to sleep with each other’s husbands without their knowledge.
A dark tale about secrets, lies and manipulation.

The Switch is a gripping psychological novel….albeit a somewhat implausible one! That said, it's still an intriguing and unconventional thriller and definitely worth a read

A weird and wonderful thriller. It's a bit far fetched and a bit slow at times but if you are able to take some bits with a pinch of salt and just go with it, it's a good read. The characters were fascinating and there were plenty of twists.

This was so cle early written and had so many levels. Ot did seem a bit of a strange scenario and you do have to allow the writer creative licentiate but that it's a fiction and if you just don't ask questions, it's such a good read! Not everything has to be completely realistic, it's escapism at it's best and captures real life issues and ties it all together really well. If anything I'd say it's airways if fresh air and I couldnt put it down

I was intrigued (and albeit a little weirded out) from the offset by the plot of The Switch but as the book got into the swing (ha) of things, couldn't help but think "...is this it?" It wasn't and the book swerved in a totally different, darker direction, throwing twists here, there and everywhere that I hadn't been expecting. I'm not sure this was done particularly well however and felt the book lost itself and everything it had built in the first half. You really do have to suspend disbelief with this read as it's very far-fetched but I still found it enjoyable regardless, especially as the author is a good writer. I didn't love the ending, it felt like it finished abruptly and again, just felt very hard to believe, especially with everything we've come to learn about the characters. Worth a read - just a bit bonkers!

Sophia ,Finn and Elena and Adam are two couples living in Wimbledon . The two couples become friends and then the girls suggest a more intimate friendship unbeknown to the two husbands.

A dangerous game ensues leaving the reader feeling somewhat uncomfortable. The game becomes more and more involved with dark and secret histories coming to the fore .
A good thriller which with its psychological undertones leaves the reader wanting more.

The Switch by Lily Samson

Elena and Adam are housesitting in Wimbledon and are instantly seduced by their new upscale surroundings.
Sophia and Finn are their beautiful, enigmatic neighbours who invite them into their world.

When Sophia proposes a wicked game to Elena whereby they will swap partners in secret, it's not long before Elena starts to experience a sexual awakening that blossoms into an illicit love affair.
But Sophia's plans are far more complex and dangerous than Elena could ever have imagined...
Wow , a brilliant book full of twists and turns that keep you turning the pages excited to see where it's going.
It wasn't my usual read but I was lured in by the blub about the plot and was very soon fully invested into the lives of Sophia & Finn .

This was a fast paced thriller of a novel with such a tense narrative that I couldn't help but speed through it.

Elena was a brilliant character even if she was slightly niave and the chemistry between her and Finn sizzled on the page.

Sophia was great too and had such a tragic backstory that I felt sorry for her despite her actions. I loved trying to work out what her relationship was like with Finn.

The climactic reveal is explosive and a great ending to a fabulous reading experience that was full of emotional twists and turns.

Well, this book has it all, intrigue, power, normal lives, and sexy scenes. What more can you want from a book?

A real page-turner right to the last couple of pages.

Open relationships and the pitfalls that can cause huge emotional and individual issues.

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this very good novel.

This was a really clever story that kept me hooked to the end.
The characters were interesting, well developed and richly drawn in this intriguing novel.
Even though the plot was a little implausible, it's so well written and well executed that it gripped me and I needed to know what was happening. Extremely entertaining and twisty, it kept me turning pages way past bedtime.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley UK for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read The Switch... if I begin by saying that I actually discussed this book with my husband, something I very rarely do! An implausible plot, but also quite fascinating and I'm sure that it will generate many interesting book club discussions. Whilst reading The Switch, I kept considering who would play the lead roles in a film as the style of writing is very cinematic (is that the correct terminology?). Enough content, twists and drama to keep the reader engaged, and a promising start for this author. Plausible characters, fairly realistic relationships but an unrealistic combination of Flowers in the Attic, Murder She Wrote and Roald Dahl.

This one didn't really work for me. I think it is too long for a start and the first 'part' of the book was good but fell away towards the end.

I think there definitely is a promising writer in there and I would be keen to see what happens next with this author

This is different to what you expect
Completed it in a day
Couldn't put it down, but that was because I was intrigued, to what would happen next
