Can always count on Michael Connelly to keep one riveted. I'd lost my reading mojo for a bit and a visit with Mickey Halley and Harry Bosch was just what I needed to get it back. I practically inhaled this book. The brothers pair up so well, hopefully we get more from them and their innocence project. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Lincoln and Harry team up for the ultimate crime solving mystery. Hands down one of the best books by this author. I felt genuine interest.

I really must go back and read more of Michael Connelly’s books as although this is a stand-alone read featuring Bosch once again, it includes snippets of stories which run through his writing. So clever and one reason that many people are big fans of this author. If you already enjoy his work than you won’t be disappointed but for those at the start of discovering Michael’s stories, than look up some previous books and get stuck in.

I’ve never met a Michael Connelly book I didn’t like and I am happy to say this continues. I love all of the characters he creates and the stories always keep my attention from start to finish. I’ll never not recommend these books!

Bosch is back and just a brilliant a read as ever. Michael Connelly at his best. I wish I hadn’t read it so I could read it again for the first time. Cannot wait for his next book.

An entertaining return to the world of the Lincoln Lawyer Mickey Haller. Heavily influenced by his justice-seeking half-brother Bosch, Haller sidesteps from his usual big bucks – big publicity defence cases and instead works to investigate, defend and ideally exonerate people who have been incarcerated despite them pleading innocence. There are a few ongoing backstories that are great for the longtime fans, however like all Connelly’s novels, it’s still highly enjoyable as a standalone.
My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley. This review was written voluntarily and is entirely my own unbiased opinion.

Another good ready from Michael Connelly, the collaboration was good and I like the way they worked together, could this be the start of another lovely series, I certainly hope so, give it a read you wont be disappointed

What a welcome return to the Author's Lincoln Lawyer series with the added feature of Harry Bosch.
Defense Attorney Micky Haller has been working on cases of wrongly convicted people , enjoying the rush when his clients are set free ......'a Resurrection Walk'
He enlists the aid of ex LAPD Detectiev Harry Bosch , his half brother , for his next case , that of a woman convicted of murdering her husband , a Sheriff's Deputy ........... a very reluctant Harry takes on the investigation , his links to his old colleagues at an all time low .
I really enjoyed the balance between the investigative side of the story - proving the woman is innocent and unravelling the corruption that lead to her wrongful conviction .
This is yet another enjoyable Lincoln Lawyer and Harry Bosch thriller - their mixed skills encompassing both the investigation side of events to the final courtroom room scenes are beautifully written
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I love all mediums of the Lincoln Lawyer and this next book by Michael Connelly was just as good. When I read the books I imagine Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in my mind as Mickey Haller (which is weird because I thoroughly love Matthew McConaughey. HOWEVER - this is another fabulous example of the Lincoln Lawyer and the plot is cryptic. I did end feeling aggrieved at some of the outcomes but the plot definitely kept me entertained and enthralled. I was a little sad when it ended and just hope it's not long until the next installment.
Thank you to Netgalley, Michael Connelly and Orion for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely loved this union of Haller and Bosch with a very small visit from Ballard to round things up nicely.
The concept of the Resurrection Walk is a strong one - the idea of an innocent person wrongfully sentenced to a life in prison is heartbreaking and describing that final walk to freedom as The Resurrection Walk is poignant.
As ever, Haller and Bosch rub up against each other in different ways - sometimes amicably and sometimes with a little bit of humour and mutual respect. It was enjoyable having both these characters with equal status (or nearly equal status) in the one book. Both characters' skills were demonstrated and the mixed skills of the 2 half brothers made for enjoyable reading.
I really enjoyed the balance between the investigative side of the story - proving the wrongly convicted woman sentenced for killing her ex husband - is innocent and unravelling the missteps and corruption that lead to her wrongful conviction and the dynamics of Haller in the courtroom taking on the prosecutor.
I enjoy the fact that obstacles are thrown in at regular intervals
Resurrection Walk was plotted so tightly, there was a tautness to the highly emotional court room scens and complete gasps of disbelief when surprising events unfolded.
Beautifully written and thoroughly enjoyed

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot - you will simply have to read this for yourself!
As a long-time fan of Michael Connelly, I was delighted to receive an ARC of his latest novel. As is usually the case, I could not put it down!
Although it's billed as "The Lincoln Lawyer #7", I particularly enjoyed this novel as it featured both Bosch and his half-brother Mickey Haller. I like both characters so it was a treat to have them appear together in this book - as a team, with Harry on the defence side. The plot is well thought out, it's clear that many things do not add up and as usual Harry's experience allows him to see the truth.
In this novel, Harry (who we already know has cancer from his exposure to a radioactive substance in an earlier book) is undergoing treatment, which I hope will work as I still hope for many more Bosch novels to come! (pretty please Mr Connelly!!)
It's always a treat to read a Michael Connelly novel, he's never written one I haven't enjoyed, so hats off!
My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC. All opinions my own.

Another great story from Michael Connelly featuring Bosch. Who now works as an investigator for his brother. Part thriller and part courtroom drama....such a good read, fast paced and great characterisation, as always. It also brings us up to date with Bosch's health issues. I was unable to put it down....brilliant!!

Defense attorney Micky Haller is inundated with pleas from incarcerated people, all claiming their innocence. This follows a successful case in which he overturned a verdict on an inmate imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.
Haller enlists the help of ex-LAPD detective Harry Bosch to find the next case which could result in another resurrection walk. The case they take on is Lucinda Sanz, imprisoned five years ago for the murder of her husband, a serving Sheriff’s Deputy. A very complex court case follows that makes you wonder which way it will go. The courtroom scenes are amusing, tense, and always entertaining, and as far as legal thrillers go, it doesn’t get much better than this. Michael Connelly is not the type of author to rest on his laurels and you can immediately appreciate this with Resurrection Walk - gripping and twisty throughout!

Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller are back . After Mickey gets a wrongfully convicted man free from prison he is inundated with letters from prisoners hoping he can do the same for them.
His half brother Harry Bosch sifts through the letters trying to find the ones Mickey could really help.
Bosch picks a plea from a woman who is in prison for shooting her husband dead, he was a deputy sheriff and things just don’t seem to add up .
The duo get to work and the story that unfolds is fast paced and kept me turning the pages late into the night .
The writing is of an excellent calibre as you would expect from Michael Connelly .
A great read !
Highly recommended and looking forward to the next in the Lincoln Lawyer series.
Thanks to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group.

What a brilliant read!!
I'm a huge Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller fan and this book was not just a plain ice cream; this was a double-decker choc nut Sunday with extra chocolate sauce because Mickey and Harry both share center stage!
We left Boss at the end of Desert Star where he was diagnosed with cancer and I was quite upset because I did not know what was going to happen to him!
In this book, he is in a clinical trial at UCLA where they are testing a new drug that will hopefully help him. He is also working for Mickey who set up an in-house innocence project. It is Harry's job to review the claims.
In The Law of Innocence Mickey managed to get Jorge Ochoa released from jail (doing the resurrection walk) and all charges against him dropped. (this is where this book starts). Since then he has been inundated with requests from people in jail to prove their innocence and that is where Bosch comes in. Most of the people are guilty but then he opens a letter from Lucinda Sanz who took a plea of nolo (the defendant will not contest the facts upon which they are accused in a criminal matter) to manslaughter for killing her ex-husband who also happened to be a cop. Something about her plea of innocence rings true for Eddie and Harry and together they try and prove her innocence.
I love the dynamics between the two characters with Harry who always takes the moral high ground and Mickey who can be as dodgy as hell at times.
If I'm ever in trouble with the law these are the two I would want in my corner!
Thank you to Netgalley and Orion Publishing group for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion

Mickey Haller is the lawyer who helps free the wrongly convicted.
After having a man’s sentence overturned he is riding high, and he is soon inundated with calls from people claiming they are innocent.
With a huge list to go through he enlists Harry Bosch to see if he can find his next client for a resurrection walk.
Bosch discovers a woman convicted of killing her cop husband, but the ex-LAPD detective isn’t convinced.
A huge amount of evidence doesn’t add up and seems the case was closed to quickly with a lot of unanswered questions. So they take the case.
With a hostile presence in the background and a determined prosecution, this might be the biggest case of The Lincoln Lawyer’s career. Can he free an innocent woman whilst keeping everything and everyone he loves safe?
This is a novel that I found utterly engrossing, with two brilliant characters in Haller and Bosch, with its tense atmosphere and brilliant courtroom drama, this really is a quite fantastic book. Another simply superb story by one of the greatest crime writers ever. I highly recommend it.

An excellent book. I hadn't read one of Connelly's books in a year and had forgotten how good they are. The plot starts slowly with background of why Bosch and Haller are working together and the choice of the case they are investigating. Once these preliminaries are over the story really gets going and it becomes a 'can't put down' roller coaster. Brilliant. I won't leave it so long before I read another of his books.

Loving how this novel switches between the Bosch and Haller characters as they form a formidable, if at times reluctant, team during the course of the book. Michael Connelly keeps these two characters fresh in that they are aging and with that comes limitations as to what they may have done in previous books, especially Bosch who is has ongoing treatment for cancer.
Truthfully Connelly has not penned a duff novel yet and this latest one will be lapped up by his fans. For new readers start with the earlier books as you can then fully appreciate a master crime writer and plotter at work through the years.

Another brilliant episode in the Mickey Haller/Harry Bosch series of LA crimes from both sides of an investigation. This time Harry is on the defence side as a case of false imprisonment of a wife charged with her ex husband's murder five years previously. Due to poor representation at the time she had taken a plea bargain and received an eleven year sentence. Mickey takes on the case with Harry’s investigative skills they find plenty to raise doubts. As usual the courtroom battles takes precedent in the story and a rollercoaster ride it is. Hope there’s more to come but the ending leaves a question mark.

I’m a big fan of Michael Connelly, particularly his Lincoln Lawyer series featuring Micky Haller. I enjoyed watching the Netflix adaptation too as it reminded me of some of the earlier books.
In this novel, Connelly has brought together two of his greatest creations, retired Detective, Harry Bosch and Haller, the lawyer who works out of the back of his car!
Following on from previous books, Bosch is still unwell but Haller has enrolled him on a drug trial which has a few side effects. However as Bosch needs health insurance, Haller is employing him as a detective and driver to cover it.
Haller has been looking into wrongful conviction cases and when Bosch points to a case of a woman who has been imprisoned for 5 years for shooting her policeman husband and who now claims she is innocent, the pair decide to investigate.
The story s a tense one with police corruption, great courtroom scenes which only a real lawyer could write and an exciting denouement. This is Connelly at his very best, definitely a book that should not be missed.
I really enjoyed catching up with both Haller and Bosch. It was interesting to see their relationship develop- they are half brothers but only met in later life and this history is reiterated in the book, which is helpful for first time readers of the series.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for my advance copy.
