This was a pretty quick read that kept my interest. Well written and has quite a bit of spice sprinkled throughout the book. I really enjoyed reading this book.
This is the sixth book in the Blood Brothers series! I did not read the first five books but boy did I wish I had. They are each stand alones but I would love to see how the plot builds between all the stories. Savannah is in danger and with her dad being a mafia leader and her brother having a dark past as part of the mafia as well, her dad has to hire someone to help keep her safe for a week. Enters Toth (a broody bodyguard with a messy past) and wants absolutely NOTHING to do with the mafia. He is tricked into taking the job and what started as hatred quickly grows to misunderstood, steamy blurred lines between Savannah and Toth. The real question is will they be able to keep each other safe and who is actually behind the threats made to Savannah when they realize who they thought was after is no longer part of the equation.
Unbroken is the first book of Samantha Wilde’s that I have read. I enjoyed the story but because it’s written in third person (there are occasional thoughts in 1st person) I had a hard time connecting with the book and the characters. This is nothing against the author’s writing style, it’s my own preference.
Toth Holmes is out of the Marines and running a protection service with his best friend. He's been approached by Sinners Syndicate mafia several times, but flat out refused to get involved, especially since he can't seem to control his attraction to mafia princess Savannah Carrington. But when her life is threatened, he feels he has no choice. He can keep her safe and his hands off her for seven days, right? But he underestimated how big of a threat she's under. Lionsgate has returned and it will take the help of the brothers he never knew to protect her.
I had to laugh at Cole being so very Cole-ish on first meeting his unknown brother. Too bad Toth had to meet him first! I enjoyed seeing how each brother reacted to the situation and jumped in to help in their own way. Toth was able to shed light on what happened to their parents and bring great closure to the series. And of course, the spice level between him and Savannah was super hot!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Who doesn't love a good forbidden mafia romance?
This book had everything you could want in a book of this genre. It was packed to the tippy top with action and some steamy romance moments between the main characters.
While I enjoyed this book, I would say that it was an average mafia romance book for me. It wasn't necessarily anything to write home about but it was a good read nonetheless.
I really liked the authors use of the secondary and support characters and I think they played a great role in the story. I feel like most authors forget about incorporating other characters into the storyline but they were incorporated well here.
If you're new to mafia romance, this would be a great one. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and will take you on the amazing rollercoaster that is the mafia romance genre.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for providing an arc in return for an honest review.
There was a lot to love about this book; engaging characters who you grow to like and care for, lots of adventure and romance. This is the 6th book in the blood series. I haven't read the others though and this book can still be easily read as a standalone. I'm quite intrigued to get to know the other brothers after seeing their relationships as the book progressed.
My only gripe was the very distracting use of onomatopoeic words throughout the novel-bang, crash, knock.
This was a fun, engaging read that kept me turning pages.
Unbroken by Samantha Wilde was book 6 in the Blood Brothers Series. This was a really good book. I enjoyed this author's writing and I hope to read more from her soon.
Such an action-packed read!
This is my first read from Samantha Wilde and I'm very glad to have a chance to review an ARC of this book.
Toth was hired to protect Savannah, who he thought was just a spoiled mafia princess. Soon enough he realized that he misjudged her when Sav finally let him see her vulnerability.
I love how this book developed. There was steady progress about the threat to Savannah at the same time their relationship was growing. Toth was very patient and has been invested right from the start though (he was in a bit of denial in the beginning but that didn't last) so that's no surprise.
Savannah is the type of heroine who's pretending to be an ice queen because she couldn't be seen as weak being the daughter of the cartel leader but I love that she let her true self show with Toth. She did not do a push and pull with him but just went with how she feels. Her back story was painful and I admit, I was hoping that I would get to see her get another chance at it in the epilogue but how everything tied up was okay, too.
I definitely recommend this to fans of mafia and military/bodyguard tropes.
Toth's brothers are interesting too so I might checkout the other books in the series.
Without the romance this book reads like a new adult adventure novel. (And I usually enjoy those, I have to say).
Crack, bam, crash …. Bullets whizzed past. If I read one more descriptor like it I was on the verge of not finishing. So basic and tending towards juvenile. I just think there are other ways the drama and action could have been portrayed.
I’ve read two other books of this series and didn’t get the same vibes from them as I got here, and can’t otherwise put my finger on what it was.
I love the concept of the brothers and their history of trauma and familial fracture, and Toth adding to the dynamic could have been so much more.
In the end it was a massive bummer, and probably explains why I had it sitting on my netgalley shelf forever unread.
What a disappointing way to end the series.
After Marked, I was very happy to see yet another of the Blood brothers popping up on Netgalley.
Toth doesn’t want to do babysitter duty for a mob boss. But the head of the Sinners Syndicate doesn’t take no for an answer.
Savannah Carrington hates the fact that she can ‘t do what she wants or go where she wants. As daughter of the highest mob boss, she is a target for his enemies. Does she care? No. Therefore, she makes all of her bodyguards life a living hell. Because she doesn’t listen and she goes where she wants. until the grumpy and stoic Toth. He doesn’t put up with her bullshit and whisks her away for her own safety. But there are traitors on the loose and Toth needs to step up to ensure the spoiled princess’ safety.
Soon Toth learns several things: maybe there is a reason for Savannah to act out like she does. And secondly: maybe the threat isn’t from one of Mr. Carrington’s enemies, but from someone within the Lionsgate Syndicate. And that means, Holmes might be in over his head. But fortunately, his blood brothers will come to the rescue!
As always, an awesome story. Somewhere along the way you probably want to kill Samantha for the heartbreak she is causing you. But if you hold on for the ride, she will fix you up. Promised. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
This book was meh for me. I found the mafia point of view, characters, and situations to be so unrealistic that I couldn’t enjoy the story. The characters were one dimensional and the action seemed forced and more Lifetime movie then spicy romance story.
Thrilling Forbidden Romance
Toth Holmes is hired on as a bodyguard for the beautiful mafia princess, Savannah Carrington. The attraction between the two is white hot but she’s forbidden fruit that he has to resist. Not an easy feat when he’s her 24/7 protection from a threat by her father enemies. He may just have to set aside his desire to make sure she’s safe but this will pose as his most difficult challenge yet. If he fails and she is harmed or he can’t resist her, it’s his head that will be on the chopping block.
This was an exciting forbidden romance with some good action and suspense to fill out an interesting plot. Forced proximity, enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, mafia princess…It’s a tried and true theme but was executed well. Samantha Wilde does a great job at creating a romance story with a gripping storyline that satisfies more than just the romance genre. There’s action, suspense, and crime mystery. Well rounded and well done! Definitely recommend this author and series.

4.25stars—UNBROKEN is the sixth instalment in Samantha Wilde’s contemporary, adult. BLOOD BROTHERS romantic suspense series. This is former US Marine, and security specialist / owner of Backcountry Protection Services Toth Holmes, and Mafia princess / freelance web designer Savannah Carrington’s story line. UNBROKEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

What ensues is the building relationship between Toth and Savannah, and the potential fall-out as ghosts from the past return to take aim at our story line heroine.
The world building follows several paths including Toth’s introduction to the family he never knew- four brothers, their spouses, and the growing family, all kept secret by the demons from the past. Meanwhile, someone has targeted our heroine, and from the outset, it appears it may be someone she knows. As Toth struggles to protect the woman he loves, secrets reveal a staggering number of lies hiding the heart break of loss and revenge.
The relationship between Savannah and Toth begins as an assignment ,one in which neither one is happy with the other. Toth believes he has crossed the line working for a Mafia boss, and Savannah wants nothing to do with her over protective father’s need to hire someone else. On the run, Savannah and Toth’s fall victim to a possible mole, someone on the inside tracking them down. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dangerous and captivating secondary and supporting characters. Along with the return of Toth’s brothers and their spouses, we are introduced to Savannah’s brother Lach, and their father Danny Carrington, and Toth’s business partner Rami. The requisite evil has many faces.
UNBROKEN is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The fast paced, action packed premise is intriguing, entertaining and fascinating; the characters are desperate, determined, and forceful; the romance is seductive and provocative. The author has left open the potential for a new series, a spin-off focusing on the Backcountry Protection Services.

This book was great. Totally action packed and had me on the edge of my seat for the majority of the book. Savannah & Toth were made for each other, filling in the holes for the other.
This is the 6th book of the Blood Brothers series and I didn't realize it at first, I don't normally ever read a series starting that far in but once I got into it I couldn't stop. I will for sure go back and read all the other books though because all the Holmes brothers stories sound like they'd be really good!
Definitely recommend with the action and steam you won't be disappointed!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💋💋
I’ve loved the brilliant series about these brave , damaged but dangerous and loving brothers.
This is slightly different in Toth is the unknown brother, the one left behind if you will.
But not now, he’s ready to meet and if possible work with his siblings, he’s going to need them.
Great read
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
This series – amazing, suspenseful, thrill ride. Every book in this series has been a joy to read and nail biting at the same time. I wondered if the last book was the end of this series, but no and YAY! Toth and Savannah were totally meant to be together. Enemies to lovers with snarky comments and then the draw to each other. Chef’s kiss perfection. Lionsgate has returned and the Holmes brothers have no idea why. Want to know why? Well, not spoiling it. Samantha does not let us take a breath with all of the action and who is the real villain. Surprise!
I think this might be a set up for a spin off series and am so excited for it if it is.
I really enjoyed this book I love bodyguard romances and forbidden romances and it was so well done and well written it’s amazing 10/10 recommendation

When I started this book, I didn't realize that it was in a series. Even better for me so I can go back and read all the others! This book had me on the edge of my seat with every twist and turn. The plot twist at the end took me by surprise!
Spicy Rating

This is mainly an action-packed novel so there are only a few times for spicy scenes but the ones that were there were perfect! The bond they formed while running was off pure adrenaline and past longing which spiced things up.
All opinions shared of are an expression of my own thoughts.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.
At the beginning of "Unbroken," the story of Toth and Savannah didn't immediately capture my attention. However, as the book progressed, it became more engrossing.
Toth Holmes, a seasoned security expert, agrees to protect Savannah Carrington, a sassy mafia princess in danger from her father's enemies, for a week. Once on the run, they are forced into proximity, and the line between their professional relationship and personal attraction begins to blur, leading to a complicated and exciting romance.
Throughout the book, the action sequences are intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. Initially, I found it challenging to connect with the characters, but as their backstory gradually unfolded, I grew to appreciate them. The author does an excellent job of revealing the characters' personalities and motivations, making them more relatable and engaging.
I was impressed by how Toth's previously distant family came to his aid towards the end of the book. They united as a family to save Savannah, and their bond was heartwarming to see. It added a layer of depth to Toth's character and helped to create a satisfying resolution to the story.
Approximately mid-way through the story, I figured out who the "villain" was, and my heart truly broke for them. It's rare to find a story where you grow to care for both the protagonists and the antagonists. Kudos to Samantha Wilde for creating such compelling characters and intricate plotlines.
Overall, "Unbroken" is a thrilling and engaging story with a touch of warmth, making it an entertaining read for fans of romantic thrillers.
