Thank you NetGalley and Samantha Wilde for the ARC.
Unbroken is the 6th book in the Blood Brothers series. This is the first book of the series I have read, but I love it, so I'm going to read the others as well.
Toth is another extremely protective male bodyguard and Savannah is another strong, capable and courageous young woman, and we loved strong and capable FMC.
You will never get bored reading this book.
Unbroken by Samatha Wilde is what I expect from a Mafia style story, Alpha means mafia daughter who wants her own life and "Two unexpected. romance"
The story lacks creative structure that would create a new story for readers to enjoy.
Thank you Netgalley
Another dark, deep and edgy story in this series, I love this surprise brother addition
Both MC’s were so flawed yet perfectly suited. Savannah was the rarest of FMC’s, imperfect and nowhere near as white as the driven snow. Yet this was part of her strength and what really made her and Toth work, he needed someone like her
Toth has his demons and from that comes a flawed yet protective man who is everything Savannah didn’t know she needed
A journey of a book, this story pulls you in and takes you in several directions before giving you a rather satisfying climax
Enjoyable.
When picking up this book, I hadn't read the other 5 books in this series; but I didn't need to in order to appreciate this suspenseful romance. Thrown together, Toth and Savannah must face off against a rival crime syndicate that is threatening her father's business. Toth reluctantly agreed to be her bodyguard.
While surviving several horrible hits, both Toth and Savannah find themselves drawn to each other. As a fan of Speed that offers this advice,
“- Jack Traven: I have to warn you, I've heard relationships based on intense experiences never work.
- Annie: Ok. We'll have to base it on sex then.
- Jack Traven: Whatever you say, ma'am.”
this book definitely received this advice. As the action intensifies and the plot unfolds, the spice increases.
The characters were well thought out and even side characters like her criminal father had a nice twist. In bringing in domestic abuse and the still birth of a baby, the author treated the subject with the weight it required. I can't wait to get my hands on the series to read. It would make my 3.5 out of 5 stars rating a 4.5.
Definitely a fun little enemies to lovers concept we have going on, I love when love interests bicker and are able to make jokes in light of serious situations.
Storyline was awesome, written in 3rd person which is not my favorite but I was still hooked. We can all agree mafia romance has us in a chokehold. Toth and Savannah will also.
This book had a little bit of everything - romance, thriller, suspense. The main character, Savannah’s life is threatened and her crime boss father hires protection for her. In the process of attempting to keep her safe, Toth, her bodyguard, becomes very close to her. He enlists the help of his estranged brothers to determine who is after her. As attempts on their lives are made, the reader wonders if they will be able to survive the attacks, let alone get a HEA. The story line was good and even had a twist at the end. I gave it a 4 star only because while it was good, it was a book I was able to put down and do other things.
Savannah doesn't want to depend on anyone to save her. This is admiral but stupid when someone is shooting at you. I would think that her stance would change. Nope! I think Toth is drawn more to her every time she turns down his help. He might not get it but respects her for it. Once they start to work together, things get done. I really enjoyed this book. I always love the books that Samantha Wilde writes though.
Unbroken is the sixth book in the Blood Brothers series and can easily be read as a stand alone.
The pull no punches banter between Toth Holmes, owner of Backcountry Security and Savannah Carrington a mafia princess whom Toth is tasked with protecting set the tone for this fast paced action packed read. Unbroken teemed with danger, lies, deceit and a sexy slow burn romance at every turn, and the devastating family drama experienced by both Toth and Savannah lent credence to this well written enemies to lovers story. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC and the chance to review this book.
This book surprised me. I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I did. The romance was good, but there was also a lot of suspense. I really enjoyed the plot and all of the characters. I will probably read the books surrounding the brothers in the future. This was a good book and I would recommend it!
This is book six in The Blood Brother’s Novel Series and it is Toth and Savannah’s story. Savannah is a mob princess a who is feisty, sassy, stubborn, strong willed and hard to control but when her life is threatened her father who is the head of the cartel decides that she needs a bodyguard who will protect and keep her safe until her father can find where the threat is coming from and if it is within his own organisation but Savannah is not happy about the situation and decided that she will not make there job easy. Toth is the owner of Backcountry Protection Services but when he is hired to protect Savannah he said no more than one because he doesn’t want to do this as he is attracted to her and if he gave in to the chemistry and attraction between them it would certainly be a death sentence but with the threat escalating Toth gives in and will try to keep everything in check as much as possible but Savannah is not making his job easy at all but Toth not only has his reputation on the line but also he is being paid a lot of money to protect and keep her safe. The danger is all around them and it is closing in, watching and waiting for the right time to strike and the closer they get the more dangerous the situation becomes but will Toth be able to fulfill his commitment and take down the threat before it destroys everything that is important to him which includes Savannah who has become everything to him. Wow I absolutely loved this book and I could not put it down as it was so addictive and kept you on the edge of your seat and I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
I have been hooked on the Blood Brothers books since I stumbled upon the first one on Netgalley in 2021. Fast paced, bad boys, mafia, corrupt police and strong capable women. If you haven't read them all, I recommend that you do; you're in for a treat!
I thought MARKED, the fifth book in the series was going to be the last one, but the ending said differently, and here we are almost a year later -- the sixth book in the series -- UNBROKEN.
It sure delivers!!
Savannah is the mafia princess her father wants to protect at all costs, although she's fighting against his domineering control every step of the way. It gets even worse when she's told she needs to go away for a week with a 'babysitter' from Backcountry Protection Services.
Toth has very reluctantly accepted the assignment to protect Savannah - he said no repeatedly, but that was exactly what made him the perfect man for the job!
Fighting to keep Savannah safe and keeping his own feelings under wraps, this turns into Toth's most challenging mission yet. Fortunately he has the new-found Holmes brothers available to help him out.
Unbroken is a fitting ending to a fabulous mafia suspense series with a bit of romance thrown in. All books feature very strong and independent female characters with the bad-boy Holmes brothers doing everything they can to protect their women.
Another action pact story filled with extra storyline besides what is going on with Toth being hired to protect Savangh through his protection services he is also dealing with needing help from his brothers who are the men from the other books, though they did not know anything about him. This is a book full of action and emotions from start to finish a very good book with good characters.
Unbroken is the 6th standalone book in the Blood Brothers Series by Samantha Wilde and even though I’ve read all the books in this series in order, you can absolutely read them as standalones. That being said, I would definitely recommend reading all of them in order to get the most out of them because as a whole, it’s an excellent romantic suspense series. I’ve mentioned before in previous reviews that I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite couple – I’ve enjoyed getting to know the Holmes brothers and their very strong female counterparts and I continue to feel that way. I knew I would enjoy getting to know Toth, but I think Savannah brought out the best in him as did the other female leads in the other books. This one is a bit more intense – or maybe a lot more intense! Even though they’re all fast paced and the plot moves at a nice clip, this one really had me catching my breath at times and wanting to read faster to see what was going to happen. Toth is another extremely protective male lead and Savannah is another strong, capable and courageous young woman. But don’t think this is 6 books of all the same thing – each book is unique in its own right, but together they make a stunning romantic suspense series that shouldn’t be missed. I have a feeling there’s going to be a spin-off.....we’ll see!! I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an early copy of this book through NetGalley.
This book was ok. It had me nervous and anxious a few times through the book, i read it in a day and wanted to know how the story went.
I think the main reason I didn’t like it more than I did was because it’s written in third person, apparently that made it hard for me to connect with the characters.
Unbroken is the first book by this author I read, I haven’t read any of the previous 5 of the series. I admit I began reading expecting it to have more romance than it actually did. Don’t get me wrong, of course it had romance but there were other elements in it that were equally or even more intense than the romance. The book has quite a lot of action and violence, probably more than any romance book I’ve read so far, there was agony, plot twists and past demons that bothered our MCs. I must say I did enjoy all of those elements and they felt normal since there were mafia gangs involved. I liked both the MCs but not the fact that they developed feelings so fast; it felt a bit rushed. And the epilogue found me longing for some more interaction between them. I would also like to see what went through the 4 brothers’ minds as the story progressed. The book is written in 3rd POV, with some thoughts expressed directly in 1st person that confused me at first. There is spice but I expected a bit more to match our MMC thoughts and personality. Overall, I give it 3,5/5 🌟 and will probably try more from the series- I’m especially curious for Cole’s story.
A big thanks to Samantha Wilde for providing this arc for review via NetGalley.
Toth, a skilled bodyguard, is hired to keep Savannah safe for seven days. Savannah, the daughter of the leader of the Sinners Syndicate, is grappling with her desire for independence from the mafia lifestyle. She resists this arrangement, viewing Toth as her captor, even as she finds herself drawn to him. Toth is determined to carry out his responsibilities, but he is continually tempted by Savannah. Both struggle against their desires but are unable to ignore the growing feelings between them.
“Unbroken” by Samantha Wilde is a high-stakes tale brimming with danger, sensuality, mafia intrigue, and the angst of the enemies-to-lovers trope. You don’t need to read the first five books to understand the story plot. I liked how Savannah is strong and not a simpering mafia princess. Toth is flirty but also unwavering in his duties, which I liked. I would like to see more of the family growing in more of the future books. 3 out of 5 stars, it has so much promise and I need to read the first five books.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of Unbroken. This is my first read in this series and usually I wouldn't without reading the first 5. Even though I haven’t read the other books of this series I still found it very easy to follow and not confusing. Toth and his partner Rami run a security service and unwilling accepts a job as a bodyguard by the Sinners Syndicate leader to protect his daughter for one week from a rival's threats. Fast paced story.
Unbroken by Samantha Wilde is such a wonderful read. It's been a long time since I read a bodyguard book. Well, it's more to protection services book.
This book have a little bit of suspense, angst, action packed, high sexual tension, hot spicy scenes, heart breaking moments and tears. I really love our strong female character which is Savannah. She is not just an ordinary mafia princess. She is a wildcat which doesn't wait for her hero to save her from the mess. She punched, kicked and everything. Well, that's truly make this book action packed.
This book leave the reader on the edge with every action scenes. I almost got a heart attack from all the suspense. I also love the high sexual tension between Sav and Toth. The author are very generous with the explicit spicy scenes.
I'll definitely be waiting for more books from Samantha Wilde and I'm looking forward to read the next story from the Blood Brother's series.
A big thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, I believe #6 but reads well as a stand alone. I have not read any of the others in this series. I actually liked this book-from the subtitle I wasn't sure. I enjoyed the characters, Savannah and Toth. Neither of them were told the truth and they had to work together to survive. I was glad that his family ended up helping him. Families are messy and lets face it Danny was messed up! 3.5 stars
Thanks to Netgalley, the publishing company and or the author for giving me the chance to read and review Unbroken.
Loved the MMC more than the FMC.
I was on an emotional, suspenseful rollercoaster that had me at the edge of my seat.
I can't wait to read more books from the publishing company and the author.
