This novel is commendable in regards to the content. It leaves little to the imagination and has a story line that easily entices the mind of its reader. There is always action wrapped around every bend in terms of the story line. I wont give any details as to the content as i want others to take the opportunity to read it for themselves so that they can also be as pleasantly surprised as i was. I read the whole novel via Kindle in about 2 hours give or take. 2 hours with stops in between for things that i needed to attend to as well as my family life. I must say, i was not disappointed and found it to be constantly intriguing and creative. I would highly recommend this novel to those who enjoy some bad ass erotic content. Check it out because it is a must read.
This was only my second time reading this trope and it did not disappoint. The only thing that you'll find by reading this is a new author and the 5 other books before this one that you need to find to be addicted to!
Danny Carrington, head of the Sinners Cartel, has had threats against his daughter. Fearing a mole in his own mob, he looks to the outside for protection and hires Toth. $50000 for one weeks work. The only problem is keeping Savannah in check. A sassy, feisty and fierce mob princess. This is an enemies to lovers book with an storyline packed full of action. A touch her and die crime romance.
I really liked this book. Sometimes spicy romances can be lacking in an actual storyline, but this really delivered for me. The action was full of suspense and drama that had my blood pumping at times. I enjoyed the banter between Toth and Savannah and felt they were genuinely a good match.
“Honey, you took my fucking heart the moment I saw you in that leather skirt. And guess what? I don’t want it back”
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advanced copy.
Savannah, knowing what she has known all her life, that her dad is involved in nefarious deals, knows how to protect herself and doesn't need her father butting in, forcing her into protection. Enter the man who will make her safe, whether she wants it or not, Toth. This book has a lot of action, suspense, and twists that leave you questioning what you think you know. I did enjoy this book, however much Savannah was stubborn and didn’t seem to listen to reason. The storyline was good as I have come to expect from Samantha Wilde, which is why she is always a one-click author for me.
A wild ride from start to finish!
I certainly did not expect so much action packed into this book when requesting it, and I was not disappointed at all. It was surprisingly a good, fun, and thrilling read. Despite not having read any previous books in the series, I did not feel out of loop nor confused. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
It also has a good amount of spice ;)
I could not put this book down!
I was a little concerned about picking this one up without reading any of the other books in the series, but it does truly stand on its own.
The book is incredibly face paced with action on every page from start to finish. It’s hard to believe that majority of the book happens within 48 hours. The story is perfectly paced and doesn’t feel rushed.
Samantha Wilde takes you on an emotional rollercoaster for the whole book. You’ll want to scream, cry, and squeal with joy.
The two main characters have so much chemistry, you’re rooting for them right away. They are complex and complicated and pair so well together.
10/10 recommend this book! I’ll be going back through the rest of the series now.
2/5 - spice
So full disclosure I have not read any of other books in this series, but I have heard of the series and I knew what the series was about, it's actually been on my TBR. That being said, this book was so good and I didn't feel like I was missing anything because I haven't read the other books in the series. From the first interaction between Toth and Savannah, I knew I would love these two. Savannah is my type of FMC, not easily giving in to what the men around her want her to do, and not going down without a fight. The story developed so well and I had no clue what the twist with Savannah and Jace was going to be. This book was beautifully heartbreaking and it made me move the other books to the top of my TBR.
Note: I received this book for free from NetGalley and BooksGoSocial in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this book!
Spice/ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Unbroken is the 6th book in the Blood Brothers series. This is the first book of the series I have read, but after reading Unbroken, I will add the rest of the series to my TBR. Even though I haven’t read the other books of this series I still found it very easy to follow and not confusing. Toth gets hired as a bodyguard by the Sinners Syndicate leader to protect his daughter for one week from his enemies the Red Eyes or so they think. Savannah puts up a fight at first because she doesn't want to be sent away again. As her father's enemies grow closer the more she relies on Toth’s protection. This book was so good it was never a dull moment. I could barely put it down.
Action from start to finish! Some very intense action scenes, kidnapping, cartel, betrayal, and secrets at every turn. Underlying is a medium burn enemies to lovers that increases the heat as the story develops. More to offer than the average 'romance' with multiple subplots, strong characters, and a driving story.
I've had a tenuous relationship with the previous five books in this series, mostly because I just don't do Mafia romance or morally gray heroes. Even so, I've liked them more than not. I had just finished Cole and Sophia's book—Cole being the most morally gray of the Holmes brothers—and jumped at the chance to read an ARC of this one. I figured, newly discovered brother Toth runs a security company, so surely, we'd get away from the more criminally minded heroes here.
I did not account for Savannah.
I mean, the blurb says she's a Mafia princess, but somehow, I'd gotten the idea in my head that she was trying to escape from the life. That's on me. But Savannah's willingness to buy into the life is all on her. There's an attempt to make her sympathetic (see content warnings at the end of this review, but be mindful that they may introduce spoilers), but we're also told that she happily accepts a paycheck from the cartel and does her part by meeting with the small businesses in the cartel's purview. No small business works with the Mafia by choice; even though it's glossed over, she's a dirty as any mobster.
She's also completely dislikeable for the first part of the book, living up to the Mafia princess persona, and that Toth is still horny for her shows his very bad taste.
Toth. I don't know that we needed his story to be part of the Blood Brothers series. He seems whiny about Cole not accepting him at first, but not once does he acknowledge how absolutely horrible it was for his four older brothers to be basically thrown away by their parents.
I almost DNFed this book but powered through because I had hope. It improves a little once Savannah ditches the prima donna attitude, but it's never enough to make me like this book or care for the characters.
I suspect a spinoff is in the works, but I honestly don't know if I'll continue.
I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

There is so much excitement, in this book, I'm surprised the corners of the book didn't singe as I read each page! This author is a maze of imagination! I don't want to miss one of her books!
