would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this outstanding book

tuesday johnson was going home... home to a mother that was dying of cancer it was her duty to look after her whilst waiting for the inevitable to happen... but tuesday also knew this was going to be trial.... worse than being shot and she was still recovering from that happening to her as well...

but she had her k9 search and rescue dog with her so that was at least something..

private detective Addie Caine is still looking for her brother missing over 20 years but she had a good hunch this time that she was in the right direction, she was determined to bring him home no matter what....

what she didnt expect was to pass out and come round to tuesday looking down at her, this was the girl in her dreams.... now that took some explaining to do

wow this storyline just kept coming with the hits... that mother what a piece of work and no wonder tuesday high tailed it out of that town when she could.... but its the dog that is the star of this story...gotta love a dog like that

cant wait to read more from this author

This book had everything I love in a romance, mystery, intrigue, dysfunctional families, and murder just to name a few. The author did a really great job of keeping me interested until the very end of this book. I really liked the relationship between Tuesday and Addie , there wasn't a lot of drama between them, but Tuesday's family had enough drama for both of them. I loved the addition of Dropped the dog he was such a character and dogs usually know who is good or bad. This book also had a bit of psychic abilities in it as well. I won't say what happens in this book, just know that it was a very good read. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family, and I can't wait for what's next from this author.

One woman is searching for her brother who’s been missing for years, another wants to be anywhere but home while she’s caring for her ill mother. The two team up to search while romance slowly sparks between them. Secrets, betrayal, and murder afoot, they find comfort with each other.

This was such a nostalgic read for me as I grew up in northeastern Washington state where this book is based. Tripper the dog is prob my fav character 🥰 I look forward to reading more of Sheri Lewis Wohls books.

Buried Secrets by Sheri Lewis Wohl is a novel for those who love murder mysteries mixed with romance between two lovely and mature ladies. Add in a touch of the paranormal and a human remains detection dog named Tripper, and you have a quintessential Sheri Lewis Wohl novel.

Fans of this author will recognize her style immediately. There is the evil protagonist, the flawed yet kind, and beautiful, heroines who must work together to stop the killer, and of course the very intelligent K9 service dog. Wohl also sets this story in an area she loves to write about, rural Washington State.

I figured out who the killer is right away. The author doesn’t try to keep that a secret. In fact, you will often be inside the killer’s head, hearing their thoughts. The questions that must be solved with this murder isn’t so much a who-dunnit, but more what, when, where, and how. Some of those answers could be deadly for Tuesday and Addie, the two main characters.

I enjoyed reading this thrilling mystery. If you like your novels to keep you on the edge of your seat and with a touch of paranormal, then try Buried Secrets.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for allowing me to read and honestly review this book.

This is a story about Tuesday and her German Shepherd Tripper. Tuesday was a Federal agent until she was shot on the job trying to arrest a fugitive. Addie is a PI who is taking some personal time and traveling to rural Washington state to search for her missing brother. Her brother has been missing for 25 years. Tuesday and Addie meat up at Tuesday’s family ranch where Tuesday has gone to help out her dying mother.

I liked the mystery of this story and the evil characters were well developed and scary. This was quick and interesting book for me, a total page Turner. The romance was good and would lend itself to a sequel.

Arc received from Net Galley for an honest and voluntary review.

Tuesday decide to retire from her job as probation officer after getting shot. She goes to help her mother who in my opinion Tuesday is better person because her mother was just horrible. We meet Tuesday brother and he just as horrible on how he treats Tuesday and their mother always praising him. Addie has been looking for her brother for twenty five years and now she may get answer when her visions leads her to Spokane where she meets Tuesday who she had vision of for years but thought she made her up and her dog k9 Tripper they team up when they and Tripper stumbles on burial ground on Tuesday property. As they both get closer together, they maybe on hunt for killer as they learns secrets that’s shocks them.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it.
Tuesday is a strong character who also has issues to deal with. She however has her best friend Tripper by her side.
I enjoyed how the characters and storyline developed. Will look out for more books by Sheri Lewis Wohl. Thankyou for advanced copy.

So when I first started this book I thought it was going to jump around and it felt really slow. However after 3/4 chapters I was hooked. The characters were so well written that I actually got chills reading. I couldn’t read it before bed because it made me jumpy. It takes great writing to get me so involved in the story that I’m actually scared. I love how the romance part of the book evolved and wasn’t the focus. October was creepy! I kept thinking surely not…….
A great book. I’m so glad I got the chance to read this.
Slight downside was the chapters felt quite long so ‘one more chapter’ was more time than usual. But I really couldn’t say this would be a reason to not read! Would give 4.5 stars if possible. Was definitely different to what I was expecting (in a good way)

Tuesday is a retired probation officer and search and rescue with her K9 Tripper, which is a trained human-remains detection dog. Tuesday self-retires after shot in the line of duty and finding out her mother is terminally ill. While escaping on a walk from the demands of a mother who hates her, even while dying, Tuesday and Tripper find Addie unconscious from a vision.
Addie comes to only to find Tuesday, the gal she has seen for years in front of her, and the connection is immediate.
Lets just say things get interesting when Tripper finds remains and Tuesdays brother arrives home.
This is a well written and a gripping mystery with a touch of gentle romance and well worth the read.

This is an excellent book with loads of action and two great lead characters. Ms Lewis Wohl has merged elements from several genres and created a seamless whole. We learn early on that Tuesday’s brother is a wrong ‘un but we don’t realise how bad until the ending despite the drip of clues and information. Tuesday and Addie are thrown together by circumstances but know they have a connection.

The scenes with the local police - and indeed with Tuesday’s mother - are angst filled and infuriating and help to create the tension which makes the relationship between Tuesday and Addie feel ‘real’. Tuesday’s dog Tripper is a K9 trained to find human remains and there lies the heart of the mystery.

Recommended if you enjoy well written crime stories with creepy characters and a touch of the supernatural.

Tuesday Johnson retires from being a probation officer after being shot in the line of duty. She also has a highly trained K9 rescue and human-remains detection dog. Her mother is dying of cancer and she returns home to help care for her. Her mother is vile but she feels a duty to be with her. Private detective Addie Caine is renting an old cabin from Tuesday’s mother. She has come to the area looking for some trace or information about her brother who disappeared 25 years earlier. Addie sometimes is able to draw on visions that have helped her in past cases. Addie is drawn to Tuesday as she has seen her face in visions for years.

This is more suspense thriller than mystery as some chapters are from the killer's POV. I love the scenes with Addie and Tuesday getting to know and trust each other. Tensions tighten when they make an unexpected discovery. I usually read straight through books once I start them but for some reason I had a hard time connecting at first with this story and found myself picking up something else to read. Once the women met I was more committed and drawn into the pages. I can’t really say why it didn’t catch me instantly. I recommend this if you enjoy suspense thrillers with a smidge of romance. And If the author uses these characters again I would gladly read another adventure with them.

Reading a Sheri Lewis Wohl book is always a good experience with strong main characters and an intriguing story line. Very clean plot from A to B, don't expect too much surprises but the writing is exellent and the book holds your attention. Just a good read if you're looking for a thriller combined with a sweet romance.

This is a gripping story full of twists. Tuesday Johnson has come home to care for her ailing mother who basically hates her. Addie Caine is a PI on a long hunt for her missing brother. She ends up near Tuesday. Tuesdays face happens to be one she’d had visions about for years, Addie has visions which include the dark monster waves rolling off of Tuesdays brother.
This story moves so effortlessly and the end will leave you with in shock.
Do not miss this.

I high recommend this one.

I’ve read a few of Sheri Lewis Wohl’s books and have enjoyed them. This one is good too. It’s not a ‘whodunit’ as you can guess who the serial killer is not too far into the book and then not long after this is confirmed in the story. But the interaction between Tuesday and Addie is good as is their back stories. The only real criticism I have is that I felt it all came to a head rather quickly in the end.

Buried Secrets talk about an absolute rollercoaster ride! This story had me hooked, and I couldn't have predicted the number of surprising twists it threw my way. Once you start, you won't want to put it down until you've devoured every last word. Which honestly I did because my mind was just shocked. After finishing, I found myself yearning for more, hoping the author considers a sequel to quench my lingering questions and I have so many questions. This book is a crazy blend of mystery, suspense, and thrills, with a darkness that'll send shivers down your spine. The author's narrative tone and language whisk you away into this gripping plot. It's a masterpiece that left me saying, "WTF!" You definitely sit with this one a bit when you read that last line.
