From the moment I started Their Last Resort, I was irresistibly drawn in. Having been a dedicated fan of R.S. Grey for a decade, I can attest that her storytelling prowess continues to evolve with each book. For me, she writes absolutely brilliant rom-coms that are true to their genre. I always manage to laugh-out-loud with her romances, and this one was no exception.
Paige's fiery spirit immediately resonated with me. Her passion for her profession and the zest with which she approaches every day is truly commendable. Paige's introduction through Cole's perspective had me initially wary of him but as I delved deeper into Cole's thoughts and witnessed his underlying protectiveness towards Paige, he completely won me over. They were such a cute pair.
The simmering tension and playful banter between Cole and Paige kept me riveted. The slow progression of their relationship, peppered with their delightful disagreements, made me cherish every moment leading up to their romance.
If you're emerging from a heavy read or battling a reading rut, this book promises to uplift your spirits. I found myself beaming throughout my reading journey as this was such a fun, joyful read.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Montlake Publishing for a copy of this novel. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the angst and tension between the two main characters. I loved how the story developed in the past and present. it was unique in the sense we got the past povs of the characters as they thought about the incidents and not how they took place. That was unique. I have loved author R S Grey's writing style in all the books and this one was no different. It was highly entertaining and fast paced quick read for when you just wanna take a vacation sitting in your own house.

The banter in this book gets it a 4 star rating! I laughed out loud so many times while reading about Paige and Cole’s interactions! Paige has a lot of cringeworthy moments but she is so endearing in her awkwardness that it makes her such a lovable character. I enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers plot, but thought that the time between when they recognized their feelings for each other to declaring their love was really fast, and it would have made more sense for them to fall into like long before that happened. I liked how the situation with their job played out and think the author did a great job having Cole and Paige tackle that fiasco as a team rather than going down the road of a third act breakup. This book is definitely a good pick if you want something fun and light!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in advance of publication in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute read. I enjoyed the tropical vibes and the banter between the main characters. The inner dialogue felt a little long and quirky at some points, but I couldn’t put this down

I’m fairly certain I have read every RS Grey book and I will continue to do so! I love how every story is easy to follow, well written, and sexy.
This was not among my favourites, but it was definitely an easy read. I found Paige to be annoying and in the real world I can’t see how Cole and Paige could be a couple. Their banter was interesting and kept my attention, but it wasn’t my cup of tea overall. The overall comedic tone was entertaining but I definitely prefer RS Grey’s romances that are a little deeper.

I am one of those people, who what they see a new R.S. Grey book picked it and read it.
So was also in this case. I love me some Greys romance.
But... this one just did not sit right with me.
I am sorry for saying this, but it is like, someone else wrote this book. I just can not feel R.S magic in this one.
It is a cute story, but it is just that a cute 3 stars read, nothing more...

This was sooooo good! The banter between the characters at the beginning actually felt real - which sometimes isn't the case. But this was a great balance between the banter and the sexual tension that really had me scrolling through the pages as fast as possible.
If you like enemies to lovers, you'll like this one - for sure. They had a believable rivalry that culminated in a misunderstanding that, thankfully, wasn't dragged out longer than I felt was realistic. Cole and Paige have some great sexual tension that Grey was able to capture well on the page .
Do they have to share only one bed at one point? Yes, of course.
Does he fall first? Absolutely.
Is he her boss? Unequivocally.

The only reason this was a 3.75 (maybe a 4??) for me was because the l-word seemed to come out of nowhere. It was honestly jarring and I felt like there could have been more lead-in to get to that point. I understood that Cole basically loved her right away but it still felt..... wayyyy too fast. Aside from that, just a few minor things. But I would absolutely recommend this book to friends and plan on reading more by this author!

hooked and hooked some more. Loved all of this and couldn't put it down. I was like oh my. I need to know more. Read it.

RS Grey used to be one of my auto one-click authors. I've read her entire backlist and even though I haven't been crazy about her last few releases, I still can't bring myself to give up just yet. This one isn't helping though. I personally didn't connect with the FMC, I found her to be immature and annoying. I found the pacing to be inconsistent as well. I don't know that I'm giving up just yet, but I really hope she goes back to her roots.

I've been an fan of R.S. Grey for a long time. She wrote another great book with "Their Last Resort". Paige and Cole are enemies to lovers with forced proximity thrown in.The book is not only romance but has great comedy in the book. Would recommend to anyone as a quick rom com read.

3.75 STARS
I really enjoyed the majority of this enemies to lovers romance. The story was developing great. Then at a spot it was like it got fast forwarded. It never quite recovered. I just wish it was slowed down and developed a bit there. Other than that I was an enjoyable read the kept my attention.
I voluntarily read an early copy.

This book was fun but sometimes a bit frustrating. The first part was definitely a very slow burn since it was mostly focused on Page and Cole’s relationship as" enemies", they felt a bit childish at times. But then there is a flashback and we finally get to the action. I absolutely loved the second part. It was sweet with a sprinkle of spice. The scenes in the hotel room are absolutely swoon-worthy. I think the author did a great job describing the tension! And when they finally snap and get together, aah very cute.
In the end, I enjoyed the book, I wish we saw more of them together rather than spending a lot of time as “enemies”
“Because every moment of my day is spent the same way. Hour after hour.
Minute after minute. I want you, you, always."
Thank you to Netgalley for the arc!

✨Thanks to Netgallery for giving me the opportunity to review an advanced reader copy of this book!✨
First of all, I adore RS Greys writing, and this book is no exception. Set in Turks & Caicos, Paige is the resort’s excursions expert (which may or may not result in the odd injury from time to time). She loves the laidback lifestyle and daily challenges of the resort. However she most definitely doesn’t love her arch nemesis, and number crunching colleague Cole. But when the resort is threatened with budget cuts and a hurricane, these two rivals realise they might have more in common than they realised….
Plot: 4/5
Characters: 4.25
Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5
Pros:
- loved the setting of the story - the hotel setting reminded me of the kdrama, “King the Land” meets tropical destination.
- Loved the dynamic between the main characters, and how shyness can be misunderstood as being rude or standoffish.
- I enjoyed how neither character tried to change each other, despite how different they were.
- the ending was just ✨chefs kiss✨
Cons:
- the pacing of the romance just wasn’t quite right for me. It felt like the characters went from rivals to lovers too quickly and gave some pretty strong declarations without a lot of warning.
- the FMC is very obvious, and even as the reader you can see the mistakes she’s making. At times I was cringing for her.
Overall: As a diehard lover of RS Grey, I adored the easy reading, feel good nature of this book. Was it a literary masterpiece, no, but did I walk away from reading it feeling good, absolutely. If you’re looking for a feel good romance whilst sipping a cocktail by the beach, this is perfect 🍹

This was another solid read from R.S. Grey. She's always consistent with her writing. While it wasn't my favorite of hers, it was still highly enjoyable. I loved the setting she put the book in. The main characters were interesting and easy to like. The banter and chemistry between them was perfection. This was major slow burn. I really wish we would have been able to see more of the couple finally together. It ended pretty quickly after that, which is really just me being selfish and wanting more time with them. R.S. Grey never disappoints and this was another fun, entertaining read from her.

Just what I needed! A fun love story in an amazing setting with great characters that kept me turning the page.
|love Paige & Cole! The character development and progression of their story was great. This was a comfort read for me. It made me feel all the feels!
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

Their Last Resort is a cute and quick read, with charming characters in a beautiful setting.
While it's not my favourite book by R.S Grey (I personally love Anything You Can Do), Paige and Cole are a cute couple who you do end up rooting for, and the supporting characters are all a good laugh.
I personally thought Paige was really quirky and endearing, while Cole was a quiet man who knew what he wanted.
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley for an early copy of this book. R.S Grey has been a favorite of mine for awhile. I enjoyed this slow burn, and enemies to lovers, workplace romance. These two were fun. Cole is a quiet character that just gets under Paige’s skin. She is a quirky character who will have you laughing out loud. Together these two are entertaining and as the tension builds so does their feelings.
Netgally read

Their Last Resort is a delightful and amusing romantic comedy. I found it much more enjoyable than I initially thought I would! Its humor and charm really drew me in.
Paige is cheerful, carefree and loves her job at an upscale resort. Cole is conventional, reticent, and hardworking. They can't stand each other… or can they?
From the amusing dialogue between them to the chemistry and attraction, I loved every moment of this book! It's an enjoyable slow burn, but worth every second.
All the characters were written wonderfully, especially Cole.
Thank you, NetGalley and Montlake for a free copy of the book to review.

As a big fan of R.S. Grey's work, it saddens me to say that Their Last Resort is my least favorite book by her. R.S. Grey always does a fantastic job of keeping readers engaged and invested in her books. Unfortunately, this book didn't capitative me like others. The biggest problem I had with this book was the pacing. I wish we got to see more of Cole and Paige's relationship play out. It was hard to root for them when we barely got to see their interactions beforehand. I think if this book were longer, the pacing and character development would have been better. I did think there were some funny aspects to this story! I also liked the setting. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC.

Paige Young and Cole Clark are polar opposites. A world traveler since birth, Paige loves to lead activities for guests at a luxury island resort in Turks and Caicos. From bingo nights to cliffside hikes, Paige is up for anything. Cole, meanwhile, prefers his number-crunching desk job. He’s the assistant director at the resort—stiff and meticulous. He’s so by the book that he keeps the book. In his desk drawer.
They’re perfectly aligned in one way, though—their ability to drive each other crazy. Every day brings a fresh battle of wits. They’re rivals, archnemeses…and they’re definitely never going to talk about that one time they kissed. Ha ha. Nope!
But when Paige finds out that Cole has been ordered to fire her on the same day a hurricane threatens their little slice of paradise, it’s clear the game is over.
At odds, in peril, and forced to shelter in place together, these two enemies might finally have to confront their true feelings. (You know, the ones hidden under all those withering looks.)
