I was not new to R.S Grey books and ofcourse since the beginning to end I have enjoyed the book like crazy. I couldn't stop wiping my smile of the face.

Rachel has a way with her characters. They're quirky, funny and realistic. Paige Cole banter from start has me hooked since start to end.

It's become common for me to have more of the characters once I finished the book.

R.S. Grey's writing style and the banter between the characters had me completely engrossed from the very first page. If you're a fan of "The Hating Game," you'll likely find "Their Last Resort" to be right up your alley. The enemies-to-lovers and opposites-attract tropes are seamlessly woven into the story, creating an engaging and enjoyable romantic comedy.

The development of the relationship between Cole and Paige was a highlight of the book, and the slow burn was delicious. The tension and banter between them created the perfect romantic atmosphere, and I couldn't help but root for them to get together.

However, I do agree that the development of their relationship towards the end felt a bit rushed. It would have been nice to see a few more scenes to further explore their growing feelings for each other. Despite this minor issue, I'd rate the book a solid 4 stars. It's a delightful and heartwarming read that's sure to make you smile, especially if you appreciate a good rom-com with charming characters and witty dialogue.

This is a holiday vibe romance where he definitely falls first and hard!
The book is a little jumpy in the story telling and I wasn’t sure if I was missing bits as I read but also our main female character Paige was a too immature in her thoughts and actions for me to really enjoy this book. She assumed way too much, which led to the misconceptions and miscommunications that were essentially fabricated by her impulses. The history of Paige and Cole isn’t clear and then seems to come out of nowhere in a sort of drip feed process.
Ultimately though the book is light fun and breezy romance

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A cute, enemies to lovers story taking place in a beautiful resort in Turks and Caicos.

I really enjoyed the banter and back and forth between Page and Cole, as that was the best part of the book.

I did have a hard time connecting with any side characters though. Overall enjoyable.

Opposites in every way but their sense of humour, Paige and Cole have spent six months butting heads at their jobs on a resort in Turks and Caicos. Their witty retorts to one another has me laughing throughout!

My only niggle was that while their relationship brewed over a few months, things seemed to happen really fast when they did get together. They went from rivals to I love you in the blink of an eye, and it almost felt anti climactic.

That being said, they were sweet and steamy when they got it together and I loved reading about the new side to their relationship. The chemistry was excellent!

A lovely read for the weekend!

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for the DRC!

The book took a while to get going. A lot of tension and anger and cross words. Once the storm hits the island here they are, the storm really hits! There is a good chemistry detailed, with a bit of island resort life and great sex. The mean boss is exposed and there is a layered happy ever after that is sweet but not saccharine.

I have a love/hate relationship with the books R.S. Grey writes. Some of them are really good - when they say rom-com, they mean rom-com. Others have fallen well short of expectations, and others are middling. I always seem to come back for more though. THEIR LAST RESORT fell into the middling category for me - I guess this is what happens when some authors just churn out book after book that have varying degrees of similarities.

If you love trope-laden books, then you'll love this one. Everything from enemies to lovers, forced proximity, office romance and more featured here. For me, it was too much. I think the forced proximity worked well here (they are on a resort after all!) I would have appreciated more depth even with the light-hearted tone, and I felt like the romance was ultimately missing someone. I'm sure though that solid fans of Grey will love this one!

I love this author and her work so I was so thankful for NetGalley for the ARC of Their Last Resort.

I felt like this would’ve been better if it was new adult/college and not 25/30 year olds. I think there was even more of a story to be told. This is definitely a slow burn. I really enjoyed Cole’s POV because he was such a goner from day one!

RS Grey is the queen of romcom and she’s done it again in Their Last Resort.

Paige’s seemingly perfect job has one hang up, her boss, Cole. The two of them have been swapping jabs since the day they met, and after all this time their sparks come to a head when a Hurricane is coming.

The banter, the “only one bed” disaster, the Meet Joe Black reference. RS Grey had me rolling with laughter.

While I do wish we had gotten to see Paige meet Cole’s “beige” parents this book met all my expectations! Definitely pick it up if you need a good laugh.

This book is the reason why R.S. Grey will always be one of my favourite authors. her signature humour, her writing style ,grumpy men and quirky fmcs. I read this in one sitting. genuinely put a smile on my face. I will never not recommend this author. 5/5 would recommended

I was recently introduced to R.S. Grey, and have been really enjoying her books. When I saw that she has a new book coming out, I quickly requested it! "Their Last Resort" focuses on Paige and Cole, who both work for a luxurious ocean resort in the Turks and Caicos. While Cole is a fastidious and conscientious director who loves keeping things orderly, Paige runs the fun, often disastrous activities for their guests. Sparks fly when they first meet, but their opposite viewpoints on life cause them to butt heads daily. But when a hurricane threatens to destroy the island, it's all hands on deck to keep the resort and its guests safe. And what will happen to that sexual tension when Paige and Cole end up stuck in the same room?

This was a really cute story, and I found myself rooting for both Paige and Cole (although I'm more of a Type A like Cole). My only complaint is that the relationship progressed very quickly once they finally admitted their feelings. However, I still really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one by R.S. Grey. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I've been a fan of R.S Grey's breezy, laden-with-crackling-chemistry works for half a decade. This book is definitely a case of He-Falls-First, and boy, he falls HARD! I totally commend how despite of being protective, Cole respected Paige's agency and choices.

As with most of the author's FMCs, Paige's thought process was a bit too erratic and she jumped to conclusions, especially regarding the MMC's motivations and behaviour. I often thought I was reading a YA novel during her POVs.

My thanks to Montlake and NetGalley for the eARC

From the very first page of Their Last Resort I was hooked. R.S. Grey has been a favorite author of mine for over 10 years, and her stories just get better and better.

I love Paige’s spunky attitude. She loves her job and what she does on a daily basis. I really admire that. Cole we first meet from Paige’s POV, which made me dislike him; however, once we got into Cole’s POV and I saw how protective he was of Paige and I instantly loved him. Seriously adorable.

The slow burn of this one was so good it hurt! The bickering between the two throughout the book made it clear these two were destined to be together - it just took until almost the end of the book for it to happen! For me this was a good thing since I like a good burn and all the cute scenes that come before.

I would definitely categorize this one as a He-Falls-First rom-com. I love when the guy falls first and gets all protective and territorial (but not in an overbearing way).

This book was just so cute and lighthearted, which I did not expect since the synopsis mentions a hurricane and someone possibly getting fired. This is the perfect novel if someone is in a book slump or just read something emotionally heavy. I found myself smiling as I read this one.

I really enjoy R.S. Grey books and was so excited to see she’s publishing under Montlake now!!

This reminded me of what I loved about The Hating Game. Cute office romance between opposites with great banter and sweet moments. I think Grey does a great job with the banter and establishing the enemies to lovers dynamic. I really loved the MMC Cole. He's so incredibly shy but comes off as a jerk because of his introverted nature. I totally understood him. Paige was bubbly and fun. I think the romance built up nicely. Them being stuck together during a storm was the perfect way to get them to open up and admit their feelings.
Everything worked for me and I think this would be the perfect romcom read.

Sweet story but it pace felt a little slow at times. Ending seemed a little rushed. Great characters though.

This book felt like a hallmark movie. A mixture of tropes (grumpy x sunshine, opposite attracts, sort of enemies to lovers as well?) seamlessly blended well and tied together. Cole and Paige’s banter was witty. It had a good amount of heat and toe-curling movies. Overall, Their Last Resort was a cute rom-com which is perfect to read during the holidays.

The swoon factor, the chemistry, the wit, the banter and the explosive romance is off the charts in this book. Plus, the ending is wonderful too!
