Paige is fun loving and silly, Cole is buttoned up and not a social person. From the very get go in this book, we know that Cole is enamored with Paige, but watching Paige bumble her way through her feelings about Cole is so much fun!
Every other sentence is laugh out loud funny, as we listen to all the thoughts inside Paige's head, and I lost track of how often I was highlighting passages that I loved. R.S Grey is a writer with an amazing combination of Steamy push and pull between characters, and hysterical banter and situations. This last book of hers doesn't disappoint at all, and I loved it!
Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for providing me with an ARC of this book.

If there’s one thing this book has it’s an abundance of chemistry. Give me a guy that falls first and everytime I will be weak in the knees. Cole is broody yet endearing. Never one to show all his cards, but given the opportunity will always fight for you.

Our Last Resort was my first experience reading Ms. Grey’s work even though I’ve seen her books and actually have a few on my wish list. I was excited when NetGalley offered it to reviewers and based on this read, I will be reading more of her books in the future.
I enjoyed this slow-developing enemies-to-lovers romance in light of so many insta-love stories out there. And honestly, I wouldn’t say they were enemies. I like to think that Paige and Cole enjoy pushing each other’s buttons and creating somewhat of a competition between themselves. The descriptive narrative of this island resort was beautifully written as well – I could picture this beachy, sun-drenched island to the point I could almost smell the flowers and the ocean. The secondary characters were well-developed as well, especially Paige’s friends who were a hoot. There was just the right amount of angst (if you even want to call it that) without being over the top. I liked that it took almost the entire book to get these two characters to finally admit their feelings for each other. It might have been long awaited, but it was well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Paige and Cole’s story and I would most definitely recommend it to romance lovers. I’m very grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

First person, dual POV: Paige & Cole
Rating: 4.5⭐️
Spice: 2🌶️
Tropes: workplace, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, he falls first and hard, slow burn
I’ve loved RS Grey books for a very long time. If I’m looking for a quick, heartfelt, laugh out loud book, she’s my girl.
This was no exception.
Paige & Cole have the whole frenemies trope down pat. But it’s definitely a case of not wanting to fully admit to feelings because they both have a lot of love for each other. Paige was a bit slower to comes to terms with the concept of liking Cole more than just the guy at work she loved to pick fights with. When it came time for Cole’s first POV, you quickly realize he’s down BAD. And I love that so much.
I loved the push and pull between them, even when I was yelling at her to forget about the other guy she was projecting onto and look within to realize her feelings for Cole. It made for some very funny moments of them trying to one up the other with a barb or two.
I loved how real they felt with natural chemistry that had me looking forward to every interaction and wondering what situation Paige was going to accidentally place them awkwardly in.
A given when you read anything by this author is that when the slow burn finally ignites, it burns hot and fast. There’s no third act breakup which fits well here seeing as they were going at it with each other the first half of the book. It was nice to see things work out for them. They really deserved it after the year of putting each other through it.
Thank you to NetGalley for a review chance.

REVIEW
Paige Young is one of the guest excursions employees at a luxury resort in the Turks and Caicos. Cole Clark, assistant director of operations, is her nemesis. But do they really hate each other us much as the other thinks?
I've read a lot of books by R.S. grey over the years, a few of which are high up in my favourites list. They're generally light-hearted, fun stories with some good banter. So I was excited to read this enemies-to-lovers rom-com.
I enjoyed Cole and Paige's banter early on. There was a good amount of snark and humour, and I liked the building tension. I did find Paige a little immature at times though, and I would have loved a couple more chapters with Cole's POV, because Paige could also be a bit annoying. I liked Cole immediately. I could feel his exasperation, but also his shyness at times. There was obvious chemistry and I liked all of the little glimpses of their softer moments together, before the snark would return. And there were some genuinely heartfelt moments as the story progressed, particularly after some inventive forced proximity. When both eventually revealed their feelings, it was a relief and the intimacy felt earned.
The nightmare guests were fun and sadly realistic. I imagine anyone who's ever worked in a customer service capacity will identify with Paige and Cole's exhaustion. The supporting characters didn't offer more than to be sounding boards, but I cried laughing at how oblivious Blaze was to... well, almost everything. Todd fell into caricature bad guy territory, especially surrounding the layoffs and the hurricane. That said, his exit was comical.
While this wasn't my favourite story by the author, it was a quick, upbeat read, with a satisfying conclusion.
A light-hearted beach read.

"...Every moment of my day is spent the same way. Hour after hour. Minute after minute. I want you, always.”

I know I can always count on R.S. Grey when I want a fun, quick romantic comedy that I can shut my brain off for a few hours for and enjoy. Their Last Resort falls into this category.
Taking place on an island resort on Turks and Caicos, Paige and Cole work together and have a bit of a frenemy situation. The enemy-to-lovers trope is nothing new for Grey’s books, and as one of my favorite tropes, I enjoyed the banter and chemistry it presents.
The one thing I would say is that the characters felt pretty formulaic to Grey’s other romance characters. Paige is silly and outgoing, thinking she dislikes Cole but later figures out it’s love. Cole on the other hand is more buttoned up and reserved, and is secretly longing to Paige but plays her games just the same. While fun to read, it did feel a bit repetitive to many of Grey’s other books and characters. I would enjoy seeing new personalities in future books.

*** 2.5 STARS ***
This book had a bit of an insta-love trope, an annoying female main character and a love story I didn’t really care about. I actually got into this book quite quickly and really wanted to know what would happen next around the halfway point. Unfortunately, the story kind of went downhill in the second half which is why I’m only rating it 2.5 stars.

Such a great read from RS Grey, but I am not surprised because I always enjoy her work! Witty banter is one of my favorite things about her stories. She also makes it hard to put down the book with the way she builds the story and her characters. This one was no different.

This story was charming and lighthearted, with a touch of swoon.
"Every moment of my day is spent the same way. Hour after hour. Minute after minute. I want you, always."
Paige Young and Cole Clark are sweet, awkward, snarky, and fancy the pants off each other! They get off on the wrong foot from their first meeting and then it's a frenemies type relationship between them until her job is threatened, and Cole knows he needs to step up, or lose her forever.
Paige is all personality and sunshine, and Cole is all buttoned-up suit (albeit in a gorgeous buttoned-up suit). I thought they were adorable together. She's witty and he's patiently amused. I loved their vulnerability but, once they were over the line, Cole was 100% committed and didn't care who knew about it. I loved that for Paige! This was an enjoyable, easy read.

I’ve read RS Grey before and have enjoyed her books, but this didn’t feel the same to me. I enjoyed bits and pieces of this story but other times I just felt like it was extremely slow and meh. I found the FMC to be immature. This story just wasn’t keeping my attention I wanted more from the characters.

3.5 to 4 Stars
This is one of those books that's hard for me to rate and review... There wasn't anything about it that I really disliked or hated, but I just didn't love it either. Honestly, my only complaint about this one is that is felt a little unorganized with jumping around in the timeline. I know it was part of the storytelling technique, which I honestly liked, it just could have used a little more ironing out, in my opinion. Other than that, it was an enjoyable read. I liked the story and the characters, and I liked the writing style. It just didn't blow me away.
It's marketed as enemies to lovers, and while they definitely intentionally pick at each other, it feels more in the name of avoiding their real feelings more than anything else, which I did actually enjoy, I just don't know if you can really call it enemies. I actually really enjoyed how Paige and Cole's relationship was portrayed and developed over the course of the book. It's probably my favorite aspect of the book, but I think it could have used a few more scenes, specifically from Cole's POV. A lot of the real development of their relationship happens before the book starts, so there doesn't feel like a whole lot of build up to the "I love you" moment, which didn't particularly bother me, but I could see how it might bother others. Again, I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I think it might be one worth checking out, but might not need to be at the top of your TBR.

*I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

R.S. Grey is always an automatic read for me. Never disappoints and I was excited to pick up this one up!
Lots of witty banter, an enemy to lovers storyline, and a beautiful setting. It's a quick, easy read and would make for a great summer read!
Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC.

The first half of this book was decent but it really went downhill in the second half and lost my attention. The couple was super instalove and didn’t have enough substance to make me care or root for them.

RS Grey just writes the most easy to follow along with romances. I find myself just sitting and enjoying a light fun read and the story one to speed through. It's like a light quick Sunday read, perfect for a sunny day on the porch type read.

Thank you Montlake for my gifted copy. All opinions are my own.
For me, there is just something so bingeable about an R.S. Grey book. This is my first by the author that wasn’t a sports romance, but I loved it just as much. This seemed like such a unique concept. I’m not sure that I’ve ever read a book set at hotel like that where it focused on the staff. From the beginning, I was pretty caught up in Cole and Paige and would definitely read more books in this universe.
I loved so much about this book! Cole falls first and although we don’t get his perspective as much, I eagerly awaited all of his chapters. Paige was just so fun. I would love to take an excursion with her. I loved the banter between Cole and Paige! They have an enemies to lovers vibe but Cole has always had a thing for her. There were some steamy moments. I loved the ending! I can’t wait for more books from R.S. Grey!

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book and the banter between the two characters. Friends-enemies, friends-lovers. The back and forth keep me wanting to find out how this would end.

Paige and Cole might be coworkers at the same beach resort but that is where their similarities end. Cole is a rule follower that always wears a suit, while Paige is happy to be outside leading groups in all sorts of excursions in the island.
I liked the premise of two opposite coworkers who hate each other but the execution of wasn't the best.
Thankfully (or not, depends how you see it ) a natural disaster forced them to share the same space and face some truths they both ignored up until that point. Unfortunately, the forced proximity came a bit too late, there wasn't much build up or a natural change from hate to love.
I found Paige very immature, her actions came in contrast with her words which made her an unreliable narrator.
The book is dual pov but the chapters aren't evenly distributed, so we only see part of what Cole is thinking. I did love the pining from this part but I also wanted him to act.
* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

This book was so cute and unexpected!
Paige and Cole were complete opposites who got off on the wrong foot when they first met. Their banter was flirty from that moment, yet rocked an enemies-to-lovers vibe. A burning passion burned between them despite their seeming hate for one another. The pull between them is intense and undeniable. And just when you think things will finally happen between them or they might finally be getting along, the rug gets pulled out from under them....
I absolutely adored Their Last Resort. Cole is by the books and Paige is like a breath of fresh air. They mix as well as oil and water, yet the pull between them is undeniable. I loved their banter and their interactions kept me wildly entertained. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next and couldn't help but root for Paige and Cole to find their way to a happily ever after.
If I had to make any complaints about this story, it would be the pacing. Their Last Resort started slow, which I didn't mind too much, because I felt like it helped to set the stage and build the connection with Cole and Paige. However, once we reached the climax of the story, it felt like things went a little too fast and were rushed. I would have liked to see Cole and Paige's relationship develop a little more post-hurricane and see them fall for each other, especially after their rough start.
All in all, I found this book to be a really enjoyable read. I loved the plot and had fun getting lost in the characters. I had a great time getting swept up in Cole and Paige's story.
If you're a fan of flirty, enemies-to-lovers romances, you won't want to miss Their Last Resort.

Who doesn't love a swoony and heartwarming love story set in a beautiful island resort? Their Last Resort by R.S.Grey was an absolute entertainer. From a sassy, cute and free spirited heroine like Paige to a controlled, grumpy and secretly charming hero like Cole. From the hilarious and colourful secondary characters to the dream like setting. From the witty banter and flirting under guise of animosity to some real deep emotional moments. This was an unbelievable ride. I was enjoying myself so much that the low spice didn't even register.
Paige works as an adventure guide in a lovely resort in Turks and Caicos and Cole is the Assistant manager and her superior in a way. He is a bit controlling and exacting. Paige is complete opposite. And they are secretly attracted to each other. When a hurricane hit the island, they are forced to share a room at the hotel as their staff accommodations are flooded. And this opens the Pandora's box. There is also the side villain plot of the main manager trying to fire people for his own gain and Cole trying to be a hero in secret.
Sometimes you need an uncomplicated feel good love story without any drama. And I was in that mood and I just inhaled this sweet romance. Paige and Cole are polar opposites. Paige's parents are marine biologists and she has been brought up in a whirlwind life. She loves adventure. She loves spontaneity and fun and a bit of harmless recklessness. She lives life to the fullest. On the other hand, Cole was raised by emotionally unavailable parents and he never knows how to express his feelings. He loves control and structure and that's why Paige is such a fascination for him. He is in love with her lively and colourful and just all around amazing personality. But he is unsure and shy about how to show that. So what does he do? He takes the grumpy path, hiding his infatuation behind a stoic mask. But the thing is Paige is attracted to him too and all his brooding animosity isn't helping because Paige thinks he doesn't like her bubbly personality. It was a fun and flirty and slow burn foreplay building kind of read where time passed fast as I was thoroughly entertained by Cole and Paige's banter and flirting and emotional outbursts. The forced proximity part was killing me. Because I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for them to come clean and do the deed. And the author took sweet time to give me what I wanted. The anticipation definitely made it sweeter. It was pure dopamine boost for my heart and I smiled and laughed so much. I loved both Cole and Paige and their unique personality. They fit with each other perfectly.
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily through Netgalley and Montlake

Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. I read 20% and found it all to be so shallow and surface level. I also couldn't stand the lead female who was incredibly judgemental of others, especially women saying a colleague was pretty but had "not much going on behind those eyes" even though she didn't know her. I hate women putting others down in this way and so decided it simply wasn't the book for me.
