This was a fun, quick, lighthearted read that I really enjoyed.

Paige and Cole work together at a Turks & Caicos resort and could not be more opposite. Paige leads adventurous excursions for resort guests while Cole is a number-crunching director. The two are often at odds with each other, but a little forced proximity thanks to a hurricane has them opening up about their true feelings.

I loved a good “he falls first” man, and Cole is that. He’s got hidden hearts in his eyes that he covers with his stoic demeanor as he stays cool and collected anytime he and Paige are arguing. The banter between them is very clearly their way of flirting to anyone paying attention. It’s fun and never too harsh. Paige wants Cole’s attention but doesn’t want to admit it to herself, so she seeks him out to push his buttons. I loved that it was dual POV so we got to know just how deep Cole was in his feelings for Paige. It made it entertaining to see what would make him break during their interactions. Once their feelings were revealed to each other it pretty much went from zero to 100 when it came to declarations so that was a little fast for me, though it doesn’t come until later in the book. They had physical chemistry once the spice hit too without overwhelming the plot once it came into play.

If you’re looking for a low-stakes, minimal angst, quick rom-com read, this was a great choice for that.

This book was a quick, fun read. I thought that some of the pacing was a little off at times, and I would have liked more balance between the POVs. Some of the backstory didn't seem fully developed, and I don't think the story would have suffered at all if it had been cut (thinking specifically of his history with his parents, which felt not fully formed, and didn't really contribute much to who he was as a character.) Overall though, I love a story where everyone knows that the protagonists are in love except one or both of them. And I appreciate conflict that is somewhat external, like it was in this book.

RS Grey has been my go-to author when I am in the mood for something light and fun. Her books are guaranteed to make me laugh out loud and are just overall great, quick reads. Their Last Resort is no different. I loved the fun banter between the main characters and the chemistry between the two that radiated from each page. RS Grey will forever be one of my favorites!

Paige and Cole both work in paradise, but she is carefree and breezy whilst he is serious and straight laced - a combination that doesn't seem to go well, until a natural disaster hits the Island.

This is such a cute, fun and quick romance. It's full of tropes I adored every one! Perfect for anybody looking for a sweet and easy read on holiday!

I'm all about a book that cures a case of wanderlust for me. When I saw that this book was set in Turks and Caicos, I jumped at the opportunity to read an early copy! I've read a few books by R.S. Grey in the past and I've really enjoyed most of them. Though I'm not as well versed in her books as some other people are, I felt that this book had a different feel to it. It just felt like your average romance, not a book sprinkled with R.S. Grey's humor and wit. I also felt like the story was very basic. It felt like more of a story was begging to be told, where so much was just skimmed over. I did really love the resort setting and I think I would have loved the story a lot more if there was just a little more substance to the story. It was a short read and I think there was absolutely room for more.

I was excited to read this but it fell short for me. The premise and the book had so much potential. I just could not connect with Cole and Paige. For as old as they were, they acted immature, it felt like it could have been a YA book. In no means was it a bad book, I adore R.S. Grey's work and her rom coms hit just right but unfortunately this one was not it for me.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved this book! I loved the main character Paige. She was so fun and relatable. Who hadn’t experienced unrequited love or feels they aren’t sure about. This is a fun summer read set in a tropical island! Definitely worth the time!

Such an exciting surprise for me to see a R.S. Grey book being published by Montlake and up for reviews. I have supported her self published work for years and I was so interested to see if this would have her same style. This was just as good and I am very excited for the potential of this being on library shelves and gettin more readers interested in her extensive backlog.

🌿 If you like enemies to lovers, look no further. Paige and Cole are true enemies to lovers, forced to be around each other, because Cole just happens to be her boss at the resort they work for.

🌿 Paige is the activity lead for guests at the resort and Cole works a desk job, complete polar opposites. Just when things start to take a turn for the worse for Paige a hurricane hits and they take shelter together where they face their true feelings for one another.

🌿 This book is a slow burn which I'm not usually a fan of, but the book isn't super long which made it an easier read for me. I loved the plot, and obviously a happily ever after is all we all want, however I felt the L word was used quite early. I love the way R.S.Grey writes her characters! The banter is unmatched and had me laughing until I cried!

🌿 What to expect: Forced Proximity, Enemies to Lovers, Boss, Workplace Romance, Romantic Comedy, One Bed, HEA.

Paige is a free spirit, try anything once. She leads excursions at the resort she works at. Cole is second in charge and never lets anything happen unless it's by the book. When Cole is ordered to fire Paige by his a-hole boss all the underlying will they/won't they comes to the forefront. The Cole-Paige banter was what this story had going for it. Everything else was just okay.

Their Last Resort was such a sweet read. I haven’t read anything new from Grey in several years and now I definitely want to dive into her backlist. The banter was playful and their moments together had me swooning.

I’ve been reading R.S. Grey’s books for year, and she has become of my one click authors so I really excited to read this book.
Paige and Cole are the classic enemies to lovers, well more like Frenemies I wouldn’t say they were true enemies. There’s also an element of opposites attract as these two characters couldn’t be more different. I enjoyed both of their personalities, I probably related more to Cole in that I’m more reserved and on the quiet side, but Paige does sound like a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed the setting of the book, Turks and Caicos seems like absolute paradise, I mean just go and google it the images alone are breath taking. The island life that Paige and Cole are living sounds perfect.
I enjoyed the pacing of the romance, the slow burn hit the mark just right. It was nice that Cole and Paige already had a bit of history, it made their relationship a bit more real and developed.
Overall this a fabulous read, I can definitely see it being the perfect beach read when its released next year.

R.S. Grey has been an auto-buy author for me for a long while and I was thrilled to see one of her titles available on Netgalley. Their Last Resort compiles Grey's signature humor, tension, and heartfelt happily ever afters into an entertaining read. While I was thrilled to see Grey's wit shine through this story, the pacing felt off to me. The story is told in present day, but the order in which we learn Paige and Cole's history didn't feel natural to me. I wished while I was reading that I had known more about Paige and Cole's relationship up front, before the in-book shenanigans ensue. I think that the cast of characters in this book was endearing and provided great comedic relief. Grey's hilarious delivery helped me to persevere through the book despite pacing issues. I also did not find the romantic resolution as satisfying as Grey's other books, but that is just a preference thing.

I also love the colors on the cover, but find the couple's placement off. I think that the publisher could do a better job of designing it to be cohesive with Grey's other published works.

3.75 stars. Enemies to lovers is probably my favorite trope when executed well, and Their Last Resort delivered! I loved Cole and grew to love Paige, although she does fit the formulaic “quirky/awkward” MC that this author loves to write. But it was done well here. Funny, slow-burn, great for fans of The Hating Game.

If I was writing a movie review (hard to do for a book, I know), I would write something like “Paige and Cole are the most fun you’ll read all year!”, “The wildest, funniest, most engaging couple of the year!”, or the classic “Two thumbs up.”

But this is a book review, so I need to explain my joy in reading this novel with more words. Paige and Cole have a job reversal over how most authors would write their characters. Paige is the outdoorsy athlete who leads resort excursions and Cole is the Assistant Director of the resort with a head for accounting. Paige is a sexy, capable woman who is fun. Cole, too, but his playfulness comes from Paige most of the time. I’ve missed fun characters, and I am so glad to see them written skillfully.

The banter is first-rate writing. Not just the banter, but the thought processes for Paige are a hoot. The love story is a bit of a slow burner in a very enjoyable way.

This is a book that I would read a second time, just to enjoy the witticism of the two characters. Fantastic novel. 100% recommend.

I have read every book R.S. Grey has ever self-published so I am beyond thrilled for her to be working with Montlake. She consistently writes, funny, sexy, dreamy contemporary romances and Their Last Resort delivered on all three fronts. I can't wait to read what she writes next.

This was my first ARC and I'm so excited to have had the chance to read it!
It was so fun and sweet, with just the right amount of spice sprinkled in as well. It also hit so many favorite tropes of mine: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed, The banter was top notch and I found myself laughing out loud so many times throughout the book, without the moments feeling too cheesy. Overall, I enjoyed the writing style and development of the character's relationship, especially without the classic third act break-up, which sometimes feels unnecessary. At times, I felt that Paige's reactions were slightly out of proportion or immature, however she is only 25, so that also makes sense!
Definitely worth the read if you're looking for a light easy read!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this digital ARC!

This book features the authors signature style of humor. It makes you laugh right away and from the minute it starts, you're rooting for the hero and heroine to get together! what else could you want in a romance?
but alas, when the hero and heroine DO get together, the ILY seems very abrupt and I didn't trust it as a reader so it's hard to believe the characters were all in from the first moment.

i loved the various tropes in this book- only one bed, opposite's attract, enemies to lovers, workplace romance

steam level: 3 out of 5
stars: 3.5 out of 5

thanks to the publisher and the author for the advanced readers copy of this book!

If you're new to this author- she has SO many good books, so hunt for the tropes you like and give her a go!

This book had ny favorite setting. Beach and resort !
Paige was very cute and Cole was shy and together they made a fantastic couple. The first half was really interesting but the second half went by really fast and could have been more detailed . I really liked the side characters Lara and Camille.
The chemistry was really great and their banter was funny! All in all a great fun read!

This was adorable. I think it would make a fun vacation read! I loved the setting at a posh resort on Turks & Caicos. Having said that, I do wish that there were a few more scenes with banter & conflict between Paige & Cole. The few banter scenes that we get in the first half of the book are fantastic. It is still a fun read, but not my favorite by this author.
