I received the ARC eBook of this title from NetGalley & Victory Editing Co-op after it's release, so it has been available since January 2022. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

This was a quick forbidden romance read that touches on the loss of a spouse (Tyler's) and the loss of a parent (Meg's) and the grief that remains. Tyler is a single father who falls for his son's teacher Meg although there's a strict rule by the school stating that parent-teacher relationships are off limits and will result in immediate termination of employment. I thought this was a touching story but Tyler definitely has some red flags by the middle. The two didn't have crazy chemistry for me and even though it's a closed-door romance, I felt that the romantic aspects could have been stronger. However, the emotional journey the characters are on was well done. All in all, it was a nice romance story and a quick read!

This story is amazingly sweet. Ioce the children and how they bring a fun aspect to this book. The romance is sweet and I loved the growth our two main characters go through to get their happily ever after. The aspect of forbidden love added to the intensity of the story and I loved the resolution.

I have to say that I really enjoyed the first half of this book - it was fun and easy. But the last half was kind of meeh... There weren't much chemistry between the two characters and I didn't feel that I was dedicated enough to this story at the end... It was very predictable

I actually forgot that this was supposed to be a romcom and just thought I was reading a normal romance. To me, it wasn’t funny.

There is a good message about grief in this novel, which was a refreshing change. What was less enjoyable, was the dishonesty and blatant disregard for the school rules shown by the two adult main characters.

Also, not a fan of the whole I’m-the-man-and-know-what-is-best-for-the-female-so-will-make-all-the-decisions-without-asking-them-first.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in return for my honest opinions.

Compared is a romantic novel that presents us with a single father who is still tied to the past who falls in love or is infatuated, we could say, with a woman who turns out to be his son's teacher.

I liked this novel, it has several emotional moments that also invite us to reflect. It has several characters that appear on stage and are important, funny, romantic moments and others where you want to go and affectionately slap the protagonists.

I feel like maybe I started this story looking for a little more depth in certain aspects, that I wanted more background, more slowness, and the truth is that I like those types of romantic comedies, that's why the score is quite personal.

It is an entertaining story that reads super quickly, that hooks you instantly and when you least realize it, it is over and you want to continue knowing about the protagonists, their family and their ties.

Thank you Kortney Keisel Publishing for the ARC I read on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So I really enjoyed the first half of this book I flew through it with a happy heart! Then came the second part. The red flags on him just killed me! How do you leave her to go home alone from the boat party :/ I feel like there was a lack of chemistry but all in all a very fun read to get out of a reading slump.

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me a preview of this book 🤍

Quick facts.

- Good character development
- Quick read
- Touching
- Deals with loss

This was a fun, quick book to read. It was very predictable but still enjoyable! There was a few aspects I found I little odd and didn’t necessarily have to be in there but others may enjoy them!

Overall it’s a fun little rom com to read!

I would say that this book was exactly what I expected it to be. Meg falls for her student's father, who is a widower, despite the fact that her school contract forbids dating parents. They have a sweet relationship throughout the book with just a little bit of turmoil and it ends in happily ever after. It is basically a Hallmark movie in book form. If, that is what you are looking for, I'd recommend it. I would read another book by this author if I was looking for a quick and easy read.

One thing about me, I am going to eat up a single dad romance. This was such a heartfelt and a warm read. I loved every second of these two.

I thought this was a really cute romance. I enjoyed Meg and Tyler as main characters and how they interacted with each other. I’m a sucker for a single parent trope so I ate this up.

The only thing I had trouble with was the the FMC’s father moving on so fast after her mother’s passing. That whole subplot didn’t make sense to me.

Definitely read if you like a clean romance!

Okay I loved the royal dystopian fantasy books by this author, like a lot, but this one was just a bit underwhelming. Still would buy for a friend though!

This is definitely a new adored romance! Single dad trope! with a teacher! The characters have a deep past and yet are so funny and full of laugh. It definitely leaves you with the more of there's more to life after a loss and grief so deep. The plot is somewhat unpredictable and predictable. This book is also on kindle unlimited and I highly recommend for anyone who likes romances! Thank you so much for the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for letting me read this artwork!

The story fell short of my expectations. Despite my affinity for the genre, it proved rather predictable, and the ending left much to be desired. While there were indeed some sweet moments between the characters, I couldn't help but feel that the book was a bit lengthy for a romance novel.

I had mixed feelings about this book! I loved the characters, and the story. It just wasn't a favorite of mine. I would recommend, it just didn't blow my socks off. I felt that it took me way to long to read 300 pages. I was very grateful to read the book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved how relatable Meg was for me! I’m also a second grade teacher so that drew me in. The chemistry between her and Tyler was truly enjoyable. I enjoyed their banter. I enjoy a book with great dialogue and the author did such a great job with this.
I felt for Tyler and Krew. Their grief was so well written, I actually felt sad at times reading this book. The author did such a great job writing about the feelings that the characters were having regarding their loss. I gave the book 4 starts because I felt like the ending was rushed, but the book was still enjoyable and a very easy read.

Meg is a teacher who's not in the best place. Her mom just died and her boyfriend recently broke up with her. The only good thing in her life right now is her stable job. Except she has the hots for one of her students' dads, which is a big no-no in her line of work. Tyler is a widower who's struggling with being a single parent, and he has the hots for his son's teacher.

This has some of my favorite tropes in it (hot single dads are my favorite!), and as a teacher, I absolutely loved this match! There are some deeper issues (grief is a prevalent theme, respectfully dealt with), but Meg and Tyler are the perfect match. I love the chemistry between them, and it was fun watching their story progress through the book. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!

This was a sweet story. I love the single dad trope. Tyler was a great dad and had feelings pretty early on. Although still working through the loss of his wife he felt something when he met Meg. He knew he had found a person to explore his second chapter with. Meg was sweet but she was a little immature for me. She couldn’t/ wouldn’t stand up for herself and a budding relationship but stood up against her father’s wanting to move on. I really enjoyed Complete, Brooke and Ben’s story. This one just didn’t get there for me. Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion

Okay, this book couldn't BE any cuter! I mean...what a breath of fresh air.

Tyler is a widower with a seven year-old-son. After eighteen months alone, and no desire to date, he's starting to crush on his kid's teacher, Ms. Johnson. She's beautiful, but also kind, patient, and watching her with his son is about the hottest thing he's ever seen.

Meg has her dream job teaching at a private school even though her personal life is a mess. Her boyfriend of three years dumped her because he doesn't want to get married. Her mom died three months ago and she's feeling very lost without her. To top it all off her dad is dating again. It's all too much. Meet the Teacher night introduces her to her student's ridiculously good looking dad, but seeing him parent the little guy is about the hottest thing she's ever seen.

This story is about grief, and feeling loss among the small day-to-day things. It's about finding the person who sees you for who you are, and doesn't compare you to what was, or what might have been. The story stays tight to the emotional journey of the characters, and leaves the physical connection to the imagination. I'm excited to read the next three books in this series.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A well built setting with single dad dealing with falling in love again and a young lady who has issues with self confidence and opening herself to trust in someone else again. I liked a lot!
