Quest for Redemption is the third in a series that focuses solely on one of two brothers and can stand alone with relative ease. The publisher summary promises plenty of action and adventure from escaping terrorist camps to backpacking in the Andes with guerrilla fighters all along the trails. All that is in here and more but it all gets muddled together with a storyline about main character Jim trying to save his marriage. Sadly, I did not feel much sympathy for Jim and Gina and all the trials and mistakes placed in their paths, both past and present, just seemed disjointed and a bit over the top. But, many will enjoy the descriptions of Peru and the sport of backpacking and those who read the first two books will appreciate knowing more about Jim.
