Berkley and Will have been together since their teens. They have plans to move into together in the apartment above the bookstore she’s going to be managing now that she’s finished college but Will springs the news that he’s signed a two year contract to appear in a reality tv show with his brother and two other trust fund siblings. The limelight isn’t working for Berkley, and they try breaking up, which means things limp along for years.

Eeck. I enjoyed Aimee Brown’s three previous stories but don’t recall them having as strong a “romcom” vibe as Can't Take My Eyes Off You. I struggled to support the (what felt toxic) relationship between this pair. Will spends much of his time in the reality show drunk and disorderly, blaming his circumstances on his cold and uncaring family and his break up with Berkley, until he catches a wake up call and suddenly reforms. I did appreciate the dual POV and Berkley’s supportive friends.

This story had promise but for me it fizzled out fast. The main character, William was mousey and his lack of balls just drove me insane. His parents were infuriating. The female main character, Blakely held her own but I kept holding out for more. The plot was a little lackluster in my opinion.

Can't take my eyes off you by Aimee Brown is such a fun book! A look inside a rich Portland family who are taking part in a reality show and the destruction that causes a relationship and to their family in general. But this is a love story, a first love, the one that got away and potentially comes back!
If you loved The Shelf by Helly Acton, you'll love this too!
Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood books for the ARC of this new release!
Thank you to NetGalley & Boldwood Books for an ARC of this book and letting me review it. Will and Berkley are high school sweethearts who have been together a long time. Will is from a influential and rich family that comes with their specific opinions. Will and his brother join a reality show but doesn't tell Berkley, which is never a good idea keeping something from a significant other. Do you think they will make it or break it? This book is laughable with humor and the characters are great they love along with argue that keeps the banter going.
After other books by Aimee Brown, I wanted to review Can’t Take My Eyes Off You because of the synopsis. Aimee gets into the ins and outs of relationships so well, and the pacing is very good. The characters are well fleshed out, and life and love issues are dealt with realistically.

Love anything by Aimee Brown. Relatable characters a bit of burn and laugh out loud funny.
As someone who had an extended on-again, off-again with her high school sweetheart (now husband), I was rooting for Berkeley and Will throughout
Need to check out others if there are more for this group of characters.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC!
I love Aimee Brown's books and this one was a delight! Will and Berkley have been together since high school but Will is a trust-fund kid so stands to inherit millions. When he and brother Mike are invited to do a reality show, it seems like a great idea...but Will fails to tell Berkley and things get messy. Of course he is hounded by beautiful women and Berkley dumps him. She runs a cute bookstore and tries to maintain her independence even as she must see his face everywhere in the tabloids as he's linked to women all clamoring for his attention. Does true love conquer all? Read this, laugh a lot, and enjoy the romp through their complicated but crazy-fun lives!

This book unfortunately was not for me. The entire thing was based around high school sweethearts one of which who is a trust fund baby participating in a reality show. I just did not enjoy the premise at all and felt that it was for a younger audience that myself.
Totally loved this book. The characters were well fab and was just a really good plot! I Really recommend this bookand would enjoy reading other novels by this author.
I don't think I've read a book by Aimee Brown where I didn't laugh my butt off while also getting all the feels of a fabulous HEA romcom that delighted me to no end. I loved Berkley. She was quickly my best friend and I was rooting for her throughout the book. The reality TV star plot line provided that extra hurdle and love-confusion these two characters needed and to my benefit. I was totally hooked.
Looking for a pacy, funny, great story for the weekend? Look no further, this is THE book to read. This story 100% has movie vibes. Ryan Reynolds for Will!
It is dazzlingly hilarious with sweet moments, emotional human connections, and real-world problems with a good dose of creative fiction. Basically a home run.
"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is an absolute gem of a romance novel. With a funny, warm, and relatable narrative, it's a heartwarming story that had me hooked from start to finish. The characters are endearing, and the love story between Berkley and Will is beautifully portrayed. The challenges they face, including family drama and a reality TV show twist, make the plot engaging and emotionally resonant. Amy Brown's storytelling shines in this book, making it a delightful, five-star read that I can't recommend enough! I will read anything she writes!
‘Women don’t want a man to parent, son. They want a man they can depend on. A partner in life, not an anchor. Put her first , listen when she speaks and do more supporting and less “fixing”. Make sure she knows she’s your one and only. Be her friend and her lover. Never let chivalry die. Don’t stop dating her. Romance her for no reason at all. Respect her. Be both gentle and dominant depending on the situation. Figure out what she likes and do it without her asking…
Berkley's world is turned upside down when it is announced at a family dinner with the in laws from hell that her boyfriend has signed up to a reality show following the lives of young trustfunders. A show that Berkley wants no part in.
Humorously told from the perspectives of both Will and Berkley, this was an entertaining read.

I’m so sad this is the last book in this friend group series. Each book got better and better, but honestly Will and Berkley’s story may be my favorite. It was a little tumultuous to follow their make ups and break ups, but I think it made for a sweeter happily ever after.
Aimee Brown has quickly become one of my favorite romcom authors, because her characters are so funny, the witty banter is so refreshing, and the way she weaves her stories together is so seamless!
Berkley and Will are high school sweethearts madly in love. Only problem is Wills extremely rich and influential family don’t like Berkley. Wills family convinces him to sign up for a new reality show called PDX Royals. The show follows around rich trust fund babies in Portland, and all the drama that follows them. Berkley is so upset Will has basically signed his life over to the devil to do this show, so she breaks up with him.
The story spans the years that Will continues filming the show, where he turns into a party boy with a serious drinking problem. And Berkley who tries her best to continue moving on with her life, without Will by her side like they planned forever. But these two can never truly stay apart, and still remain “friends”. As Wills partying and drinking gets more and more out of control, he has to decide what he wants in his future. Is it his awful family, fame, and his trust fund? Or does he walk away from all of it, and choose Berkley?

Yay! I finally got my hands on an Aimee Brown ARC. I’ve read and listened to many of her books and have been a fan. While this one wasn’t my favorite, I did really enjoy the love story of Berkeley and Will.
I loved the humorous back and forth dialogue many of the characters day. While the timeline of their relationship was very very messy! The love they had for each other through it all was beautiful!
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You is a story of young love, messy love—can it be everlasting love? My heart was all over the place as I followed the roller coaster ride that is Will and Berkeley’s story! Berkley is an amazing character, strong, feisty, smart, and so in love with Will that she’ll do anything for him…including letting him go. Will knows that Berkley is the love of his life, but his family has a hold on him that’s hard to let go; at the same time, he is so sincere in his feelings for Berkley, he never stops trying to get her to love him again. Both characters are transformed by their love, and by their breakup; their love made sweeter by all the difficulties, decisions, and by outside forces working against them. Will’s persistence and his growth are a highlight of this book.
This book was exactly what I was looking for--refreshingly original with loveable and relatable characters. I loved Berkley and Will. Complex characters, an original plot, and a pacy story that kept me turning the pages. Funny? My God, Aimee Brown has a way with humor. Not easy to do, as I've read so many stories that just fall flat. She knows how to hook you into the scene. I felt like I was there with the characters. I really enjoyed the TV thing. So much reality tv on these days so I related and thought it was brilliant. Thank you Boldwood Publishers for the read, Aimee Brown, and NG.
*Loveable characters that will tug at your heart but also hit that funny bone.
*Pacy story with no saggy middle (I'm a stickler!)
*Atmosphere galore!
*Refreshing and original dialogue
*Refreshing and original! (all the way around)
*Talented author
Holy shiitake mushroom! This was one messy-as-h*ll story. But, that doesn't mean that it wasn't enjoyable.
Berkley was a sweet and unassuming FMC. I liked that she was willing to go the extra mile and give people the benefit of the doubt, even when they didn't deserve it. Even when Will was being an a$$, she let their history count for something.
Will certainly had his moments as an MMC, but one of the few traits that I can't stand in a story (or in real life, for that matter) is the inability to stand up to one's parents when they're treating your significant other poorly, or in this case, downright insulting her.
Now, their relationship was the definition of messy-as-h*ll. There were ups and downs and it sometimes gave me whiplash. There were some points in the story where I couldn't figure out if they were on the outs or not. Then there were the "rules" while Will was on the show. They were completely unrealistic, and not indicative of two people that had been in a relationship for so many years. It was obvious to everyone but them that they were setting themselves up for failure.
Then came the final reconciliation. Here's where I was reaaaally hoping for the story to shape up. Will taking his time to heal certainly redeemed his character (that I'd previously written off). But, everything else that followed was once again unrealistic and too rooted in fiction to be relatable.

Will and Berkley fell in love and it should have been HEA. BUT his rich family doesn't think that Berkley is good enough for him. A reality tv show makes it worse.
Love Will and Berkley together. Lots of funny dialogue. Many LOL scenes. There are some great romantic moments too. It's a very funny book.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
