Three and a half stars.

Dan Armstrong and his trusty canine companion Oscar are asked by an old friend in Scotland Yard to assist his sister, she's been attending a two-week Ufologists camp near to Matterhorn looking for evidence of extraterrestrials but a fellow camp mate has died in suspicious circumstances and she thinks there is something weird going on. Dan agrees to pretend to have an interest in UFOs and at the same time offers his services to translate for the local police force as a bilingual native English speaker with the ufologists who are all British/American.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, I had my suspicions about the murderer almost from the start (well maybe midway through) but it came together well.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

Another fun Dan and Oliver book, this time set in the shadow of the Matterhorn. There is a murder and a brazen attack to solve, lots of beautiful scenery and a new cast of police character's and very wacky suspects. It was well written and usual and went along at a good pace. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Another fun Dan and Oliver book, this time set in the shadow of the Matterhorn. The UFO-seeker context was initially off-putting to me. Still, it’s really just a plot device to explain the location — once past that, it’s a well-crafted mystery. There is a murder and a brazen attack to solve, lots of beautiful scenery and food that’s well-described, and a pregnant local senior officer to contend with. All is brought to a successful conclusion that I didn’t see coming.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance reader copy.

A lovely descriptive story in the Alps. Chock full of twists and turns with some strange characters thrown. I could picture the Matterhorn as I've seen it for real and it's magnificent. A great story. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

This is the fourth book I have read from this author. I enjoyed the quirkiness. It had many twists which added to the suspense. Great premise and enjoyed the description of the location. Would definitely read the next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

This was another great book in this series. While it is part of a series, it can truly be read as a stand alone.
Dan, totally embracing his life in Italy, gets called to do favor near the Matterhorn. Apparently a group of UFO watchers has been seeing signs of alien life, and one of the on lookers was killed...by the aliens! From the start, Dan and the local police know there is a lot of hoaxes going on, but narrowing down who committed the murder is trickier than it should have been. There are lots of suspects and motives, and when a second body is found finding a connection is crucial. I love the characters in this series, and the setting is amazing, Already looking forward to the next book.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is ok, I felt like the investigating and clues are thin, it didn’t feel like much going on. The premise of the ufo seekers is odd and it takes far too long to identify the killers. I did like the Italian inspector for her determination. #MurderattheMatterhorn #NetGalley
