Wow, an absolute unputdownable book. If you are looking for a feelgood festive read with a little bit of everything
thrown in, then this is most definitely it. Fabulously written characters, even the ones you are most likely to take a dislike to. It was just a joy to read and I heartily recommend it.

This is a perfect book to start the Christmas season.

After suffering heartache, Penny applies for a nanny position over the christmas period with the Lord family, throw in a brooding Lando, crazy 4 year old twins and their mum and a somewhat eccentric 73 year old Santa and you have the perfect family.

This is an absolutely adorable heart warming Christmas romance.

Thank you to Netgalley for the advanced copy.

I just want to start by saying that I am a holiday romance fiend. My parents and I watch them year round. I listen to holiday music year round and I'm mainly a rom-com reader. But despite all that, I could not get into this novel. The premise of this story sounded so cute and it hit all the things to make a great holiday rom-com, but the writing did not do the idea justice and it pains me to say this. Maybe at another time, I would have liked this story more, but right now, I can barely give it two stars. It avoids one star because I only give that to books I loathe.

Thank you Netgalley for sending me the arc for an honest review.

3.5 but rounding up to 4.

An enjoyable, heartwarming read for the festive season. Who wouldn't want to spend Christmas in an idyllic contryhouse in Dorset? There are some really memorable characters who I really loved. William's first appearance in the book really made me laugh. I also like the fact that the story discussed male mental health. It's such an important subject and it was well done. I do think that there could have been a bit more communication at times with the characters. Overall, a very worthwhile read.

This book was so good! I loved the coziness of this book. It made me wish I could be there amidst all the family fun and craziness. I was captivated from the first page and couldn’t put it down. Definitely recommend

Penny has been dumped; she didn't see it coming and feels like she's wasted a large part of her life so when a job advertisement offers her an escape at Christmas, she seizes it and learns an awful lot.
This is a lovely Christmas rom-com book; the characters, the setting ..everything is a wintery escape that feels like drinking a hot chocolate next to a fire. It was a bit slow at the start, and I was worried it was going to be tedious but it very quickly hooked me in and I had to know what happened!

Theres nothing taxing about the story, it's fairly predictable but it's a nice, warm hug of a story!

Christmas With the Lords is a sweet Christmas romance that is sure to warm your heart.

If you are a fan of Hallmark movies, then this book is for you! Christmas With the Lords is bursting with charm, warmth, and holiday magic. It is a nice, easy romance to lose yourself in for a few hours. There isn't any major conflict or drama; you get to spend time with fabulous, quirky characters during the holiday season. There are plenty of heartwarming moments and moments that will have you chuckling. The pacing of this book is smooth and steady and will keep you entertained. Even though there aren't any major conflicts, there is still a lot going on in this book. The Lord family's house is always bursting with excitement and crazy chaos. I loved the different family dynamics that exist within the Lord's family. Things aren't perfect; there are plenty of miscommunications and battles of wills, but they love each other at their core. Watching these strong and bold personalities interact in the same house was interesting.

The romance in this book is a sweet, slow-burn, forced proximity love story with plenty of will they won't they moments. It is clear right from the moment Poppy and Lando meet that there is chemistry between these two characters. The problem is that neither wants to be in a relationship, which means that they fight, acknowledging any romantic feelings they may have for each other. This reluctance and nervousness to give in to those feelings creates lots of miscommunications. Sometimes, I wanted to shake these two and tell them to kiss already. This is a clean, sweet romance, and at the end of the day, you know they will end up together.

it is never too early for a cosy Christmas romance book! Christmas with the Lords was such a cute and fun easy read. I loved the family aspect and Penny's growing closeness to each character, all of the characters have their own quirks and heart-warming scenes and I really felt like I got to know them. I loved the British countryside setting and the warm and cosy Christmas vibes, so nostalgic!

Thank you to Netgalley.com for allowing me early access to this cozy holiday romance. If you are looking for a book to snuggle up with on these dark winter nights, give this book a go. While I did get annoyed at Penny's low self esteem, the delights of the holidays made this an easy read.
My favorite characters were Bunny and Pilar. Bunny, the mum who needs help with the twins. She loves everyone and wraps Penny in her family. Pilar is the chef and very much her own woman. She deftly manages many sticky situations and welcomes Penny into the safety of her kitchen.
This review is my opinion.

Penny Windlesham didn’t expect to be thirty eight and starting again. She gets herself a Christmas holiday job, a mother’s help, to look after two young twin children.
Penny just needs to keep occupied over the holidays, then she can put some plans into action.

I absolutely loved reading this book and found it very difficult to put it down.
An interesting assortment of characters that make you feel right at home within its pages.
This book was such a lovely story for me, a curl up and enjoy, making me smile, shed a few tears, a joy to read.
I was sad when it ended, but thought it was a very good ending.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Publisher for an advanced e-book copy. Opinions about the book are entirely my own.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE holiday romance novels. The dialogue was just not my jam. Bunny is so over the top that I genuinely rolled my eyes every time she spoke. I wish I could have gotten past my distaste of the dialogue, because I feel like I would have enjoyed the romance!

I loved this sweet and endearing Christmas romance. Lando has suffered greatly from burn out and worked to restore his mental health. Penny was dumped after a ten year relationship. When she goes to work as a mother's helper for Lando's sister-in-law, she is quickly enveloped as a beloved family member. The Lord family is messy and funny and oh so lovable. The magic of Christmas comes alive in this delightful book!

Christmas With the Lords has all the magic and charm of a Hallmark film wrapped into a sweet grumpy / sunshine romantic comedy with a Christmas twist that has all the ingredients for a cozy Winter read! Penny, a school teacher in London, gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to nanny during the holiday season for an affluent family with a set of 4 year old twins. I loved the side characters (especially William) and I felt like they added so much charm to this feel-good story. My only complaint is that I wish we could’ve seen more interactions between Lando and Penny. With this being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the friendship between Penny and Bunny, the quaint village scene, and all of the excitement with the twins!

I received a complimentary ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

This is an absolutely adorable heart warming Christmas romance. The chaos of the Lord family is hilarious and makes you wish you could be a part of it. Penny is absolutely relatable as our main female character and how hard it can be to make a decision on something when you're not sure what the outcome will be. Do you stick to the plan and something safe or do you go off book and have a possible adventure?

❄🎁Light, fun, family-oriented with a spark of romance: holiday magic🎆

What an easy, quintessentially holiday, story, with a close extended family and a set of irrepressible four year-old twins that made every day in the lead-up to Christmas seem packed with joy. Well-written: this new-to-the publishing world author is one I think I'll be following.

It's a story of a 38 year-old woman coming to terms with where she's going and what she really wants out of life, combined with romance and a hectic, whimsical family gathering on a countryside estate. I found the plot entertaining; it moved at a good pace and really kept my interest from flagging.

Though Penny was the lead character, there were so many strong secondary characters that made this story a strong ensemble hit for me. From Grandpa William running around in his underwear after an uncomfortable session as Santa, to his diva gal Daphne, to the twins and their super friendly but beleaguered mom Bunny, to the oft grumpy host Landoand Bunny's man about town bachelor brother Xander, I really got a kick out of this family that adopts Penny to heart as soon as she shows up to work as a mother's help in the lead-up to Christmas.

Recommended for sweet romance and a hefty dose of holiday activities often motivated by two sweet children.

Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I found the book to be an alright read, but it didn't personally resonate with me. While it may not have been a perfect match for my preferences, I believe it could certainly appeal to others.
