Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.
I want to commend Alyson E. Lee for being so brave to publish her work, and to her mother who encouraged her to do so. I appreciate the poet's creativity and attempt to rhyme - that is a rare quality in poetry these days.
Unfortunately, this book of poems was not for me. I appreciated the broad spectrum of topics, but I feel the poet's efforts to force rhymes actually took away from some of the storytelling. I think with time this poet will come into her own; I look forward to seeing how she develops as a writer.
A 2.5 rating because I didn't care for the work, but I didn't object to anything in it, either.
A delightful collection of poems that offers a unique and refreshing take on the world of poetry. Lee's authentic voice shines through in every verse, making each poem feel like a personal journey. Her ability to use vivid imagery to tell stories is truly remarkable, and it sets her apart in the world of poetry.
This collection is a colorful tapestry of emotions, from pathos to humor, love, and a touch of mischief. Lee's imaginative use of language and her knack for composing verses that warm the heart make Float Away in a Bubble an unforgettable read.
Hey there, poetry lovers! I just stumbled upon this awesome book called Float Away in a Bubble by Alyson E Lee, and it's like a breath of fresh air. Seriously, if you're not into poetry, this book will change your mind. It's not your usual fancy-pants poetry; it's real and authentic, like talking to a friend.
Alyson Lee has this magical way of using words to paint pictures and tell stories. Her poems are like little journeys that take you from laughter to tears and back again. And let's not forget the touch of mischief that sneaks in. It's like she's inviting you to float away in a bubble of imagination and emotion.
Float Away in a Bubble by Alyson E. Lee is a poetry collection that focuses mainly on nature, sprinkling in a good word of advice. While the book itself states that it’s for teens and adults, I feel like this book would fit the range 10-15 better. I felt like some of the poems were unfinished, or that they could have been reworded to flow better. Some of the art was extremely cute! Especially the one that depicted a dachshund with a crown. I feel like this book has a lot of potential, but could be reworked a little. My favorite poem was “Velvet Brown” because it reminded me of my grandmother’s old dog. I also posted this review on goodreads but was unable to link it.
